Quality First Heating and Air was super quick in responses and very honest feedback. It was Rick from Quality First Heating and Air who responded, and he was willing to send immediately a technician to take look. They said he will charge $95 for the inspection but it will later contribute to repair cost. Daniel was the technician, you came right on time with the appointment and did the inspection and figured out our capacitor is blown. Unfortunately, he did not have the correct capacitor, so head to come again next morning before his day started and took care of me. Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable tech. He was punctual, friendly and very smart with the repair and above all, super quick with work. I will go with Quality First Heating and Air for my next AC repair for sure. Thanks to Rick and Daniel for keeping us cool

Rick is a neighbor I met not long ago, and right off the bat, got me a quote $1,000.00 lower than…read moreour lowest estimate for a simple A/C unit addition; and when they came to view and confirm the work to be done, Daniel SHOWED me the whys this estimate would have blown out of proportion. First, previous owner remodeled the house from 1600 to 2200sq ft but never replaced the furnace, so a 3tons furnace could not have run a new 5tons A/C efficiently, then we went into the attic to be shown that the 46yr old ducts were literally falling apart and contained asbestos (what an inspector I got when I bought the house). They came back with a quote still 50% below what I expected it to turn into. So for 3.000.00 more than our other estimate we had the whole system replaced, even the registers. They were here the next weekend. Honesty by teaching you the whys. You know what you will get and why, so no BS. This system is much more powerful and very fast to cool the house, we even have an Ecobee thermostat with a sensor upstairs so it takes an average reading. you set the system to a minimum and maximum and forget about it, and yes, there's an app for it. Not a scratch or a speck of dust present when they left after 3 days of work.

I instead opted to call someone local to me (Escondido) instead of someone having to drive from 20 miles out. I called Monday morning, was booked for that same afternoon as our AC decided not to work at 1am. Surprisingly, Jim arrived just before 12pm as he was already in the area. I very much welcomed the early arrival as the heat was starting to escalate. It took Jim literally 3 minutes to diagnose the problem of our AC, a burnt relay contact (I wrongly predicted a faulty capacitor). This is how you know you are dealing with an experienced professional when he brings out only the necessary tools and leaves the work site clean. Jim was in and out in about 35 minutes (should have been less than 30 if I hadn't asked questions). As they say in the industry, there are no second chances for first impressions, Because of this, I'll give them my business for AC maintenance moving forward due to my great experience, promptly saving me and family from roasting in an above average SoCal summer. Cost (part + labor) was very fair and no hidden or surprise charges. More blessing to you Jim and your crew.

Now, living in San Diego, this really isn't an issue but every now and then Escondido has extremely cold nights. I decided to have the unit inspected looking for advice on repairs. Listening to KSON, they recommended Mauzzy ( spelling???) heating and air so I called them for a $99 inspection. Long story short, the guy said my unit was too old and he recommended replacing the entire unit for $16-20k. I said nope and he left. I was at my favorite coffee shop telling a friend about this when another gentleman overheard me. He recommended Jim to me. Jim comes out, runs a few test & in less than 10 minutes finds the issue. He had to order the part so I had to wait a few weeks ( no big deal ). He gets the part in, schedules a convenient time for me to install the part costing me a total of $220. I cannot recommend Jim enough, he is truly honest, reliable, & dependable. Imagine being told you needed $16k replacement when all you needed was $200 part.... I can't recommend him enough. I've already told all my neighbors about him.

From project start to finish, we were blown away by the professionalism, the crews' politeness and how well this crew worked together. It was like a well oiled machine. We worked with many vendors, but Excel blew us away. You never heard the crew complain or curse once on the job! It's so rare to see a crew that were so polite to each other and just kept working even when they hit multiple snags. Our project manager, Frankie was AMAZING! Thank you, Frankie for getting down and dirty with crew and helping with the hiccups on the job! Frankie communicated everything to us and kept us in the loop. Also, shoutout to our man, KEITH! He was the one working up in the attic. That man never complained and always had a smile on his face. You da man, Keith! Honestly, the crew was unbelievable. Excel, you have AMAZING people working for your company and it shows. If you're looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, polite crew of people -look no further than Excel!
