Great Frybread, worth the stop. Takes credit cards and Apple Pay. Check out the birria flatbread and beans and cheese flatbread.

We ordered three breakfast sandwich meals and even though we told them twice it was to eat there, they still threw everything in a bag. Then we sat down and one of the sandwiches was not at all what we ordered! When we got all settled in and had the correct order, the food was fine. Typical Burger King. The restaurant itself is rather nice for a BK. There are pictures of the Grand Canyon and there was a television playing women's soccer. If Burger King isn't your thing, there is also a McAlister's Deli at this location. In between the two restaurants is a store selling pottery and other local crafts. There is a nice area to walk around and look at things in the center of the building.

Then they only gave us our food and waited a whole 15 or so minutes more until giving us our coffee. Another lady decided to just leave after it took so long. 45 minutes spent in there in total, I don't do stuff like this cuz I don't wanna seem like a karen. I don't know y'all but Mcdonalds was great, try there.

Interesting things stand the test of time here. I've been told boys born around 1920 used a Spanish armor breastplate to slide on village dunes. In Old Oraibi, beans and bean stems in a pot placed in an underground storage area and forgotten, carbon dated at Northern Arizona University to about 800 CE/AD. Cameron Trading Post and the first bridge across the Little Colorado are in that swirl of time. Stone architecture from 1916 or earlier, stands solidly in place. Most indoor areas are modernized. Some dining room decorations date to the early years. The pressed tin ceilings were common in my grandparent's world - and rusted away long ago in most of the USA. The main trading post has everything from old, valuable, regional items, to gleaming eye-grabbers from China luring toddlers and youngsters into tantrums. There are also food and other useful items for everyday life, like hanks of wool yarn, etc. The restaurant has excellent, regionally based dishes for your dining appreciation, wspecially the giant, hefty, Navajo Taco. There's a hotel here. A woman I knew, losing her hundred years alive to COVID in 2021, worked in the hotel as a teenager. Gas Station, apparently an RV Park, another great shop full of antique Southwest treasures are on the grounds. This is an exceptional stop on the Colorado Plateau.

The Warrior Surprise did not disappoint. The frybread was huge, soft, and fluffy. The taco toppings on top were delicious and the egg on top was cooked perfectly. The prickly pear stuffed french toast was a delight and had just the right amount of sweetness. The french toast was accompanied by regular syrup and prickly pear syrup. The two items were a flawless pair of savory and sweet and we shared both items.

I ate several dinners and a breakfast when I stayed and loved everything I had. I tried the River Raft'n Tacos with grilled fish one night - it comes with 3 tacos full of supple chunks of perfectly grilled fish and chips and salsa on the side. The tacos were just a tad bland but still delicious and the side of salsa added the extra flavor I needed. My other dinner was one of their specials - the Southwest burger with a side of onion rings and veggie soup. This was fantastic!! The burger was flawless and tasty (not too spicy) and the onion rings were positively massive and delicious as well. The veggie soup was a bit spicy but still flavorful and hit the spot. For my breakfast I had the Horseshoe Breakfast which comes with two eggs, toast, home fries or fruit, and I chose ham for my meat. It was a great start to the day and their in-house coffee is really nice. Their unique dessert offering - the Avocado Pie - is a must when you visit!! It's light, creamy, and not overly sweet with a hint of citrus. It's like a mild key lime pie sort of and I loved it - would definitely get again. They have some traditional indoor seating as well as a patio that has garage style doors that they can open for an al fresco dining option. Decor gives off 70s diner vibes and they have really cool Grand Canyon/Colorado River paintings on the walls. All the staff were attentive and helpful - even with our large rowdy group the night before our rafting trip!
