Rating is on lack of customer service, proactive follow-up and lackadaisical approach to ensure customer retention and business referrals. Gary: Your response is not accurate. I called both times, 5/2, and 5/9, (today). Not your front office staff calling me. Regardless I am a reasonable person. The lack of accountability for what your staff could do, "keeping me informed"wasn't done, period. I was scheduled for installation tomorrow at 8 am, 5/10. Your staff told me on 5/2, she had to follow up on 5/3, with the dealer for replacement and call me, this never happened, until I called today. As the owner, if you cared about customer retention you could have called me to discuss further. I encourage you to listen to your recorded calls. My car had a u-shaped crack on the bottom of the windshield, it was determined that a repair wouldn't be possible, so the windshield would need to be replaced. The replacement cost was probably around $230 from what I remember. I had gotten a quote from safelite and the cost was only $175 or so. For reference my vehicle is a 2006 Nissan Sentra. I decided to go with novus on a whim, thinking they would do a better job if I took my car to the shop. I dropped off my car in the morning, then picked it up in the afternoon. The new windshield looked fine and didn't show any signs of leakage for the last few months, but I didn't drive in any heavy rain either. On 12.13.21 I drove through heavy rain for the first time on the freeway with the new windshield and saw water dripping into the interior from the side of the windshield on the driver side of the car. I felt along the inside edge of the glass and noticed that the adhesive was applied quite sloppily in the area where The water was leaking. I inspected the exterior as well, and found that the plastic trim that covers the bottom edge of the windshield was loose on the passenger side. I contacted novus glass today on 12.14.22 to book a warranty fix but they are are booked until the next day. I'm scheduled to bring my car in on 12.15.21. I may update my review depending on how this is resolved. read more

Speedy glass repaired a broken window for us. A week later when the window continued to have issues going up and down, we brought it back for them to look at. They proceed to first blame the car motor, then the cars age, then finally told us it would be $300 to fix. Terrible customer service. The fix to the issue ended up being incredibly simple (my husband figured it out himself). We wont be using Speedy in Davis again, and will be sharing our experience with our insurer. read more

I'm a repeat customer and "had" always been happy with this shop prior to today!Requested a quote by phone and online. They responded quickly but the person who helped me, Jorge or George, DID NOT provide a professional and courteous customer service experience. He said a mobile appointment was available for same day but when I asked questions about the timeframes he immediately took a rude and sarcastic tone and said I needed to choose another day because he didn't want his technician to wait around. Of course I wouldn't want that either and assured him that the car would be available at the time he mentioned. Then all of a sudden he said that appointment time was unavailable, "sorry". I asked to speak with the manager and he said he was the manager. I asked to speak with someone else above him and he said there was no one else above him. I believe he was being dishonest, rude and unprofessional. Jorge or George, if you're having a bad morning, have someone else answer the phone! I'm hoping to hear from the shops owners to schedule my appointment. It's a shame because we have 2 new cars that may need future repairs but I'm now left with looking for a new shop. read more

I had a crack in my windshield that unfortunately couldn't be repaired and instead needed to be replaced. The original crack was on a Friday in the afternoon. On Monday morning, I called Novus after it was one of the providers approved by my insurance company to do the windshield replacement and asked about pricing and timeframe. Abby was very helpful and explained the entire process to me. My car requires OEM glass for the safety features to work properly, and she explained that they were able to order the correct glass with approval from my insurance. I called my insurance company and had them set Novus has my provider for this claim after the positive first interaction I had with them. On Tuesday, I stopped by the shop and provided a letter from my car manufacturer stating the requirement for OEM glass that they could use to submit to insurance for approval. Wednesday, I got a call that insurance had approved the OEM glass and that they were ready to order it, and it would likely come in 2-3 days (so either Friday or the following Monday). Thursday morning, I received a call that the glass came in early and asking if I was able to bring my car in the same day to have it replaced. Absolutely! I dropped it off 30 mins later and they were amazing at getting it replaced. Not only were they able to use the OEM glass, but they recalibrated my cameras to work properly too! Everybody in the shop was very pleasant to work with, especially Abby at the desk. From cracked windshield to new windshield took less than a week, and it was as painless as possible for me! I hope I don't have any more cracked glass on my car, but if I do, I won't hesitate to return to Novus. Thanks for everything! read more

Update: Since my windshield replacement I got a huge crack in my windshield that is not from a rock or impact, so I have a feeling it was from the installation and wanted to get it replaced. Customer service doesn't really have a clear warranty policy, but they said I could bring it by to see if it was a result of improper installation. When I visited the shop today (around noon which is within their business hours) it was closed and I couldn't get a hold of anyone on the phone. Very disappointed and just wish I could get this crack fixed correctly like it should've been the first time. The receptionist (Danielle) just showed up about 10 minutes later with in-n-out. She was very rude and didn't have anyone who could help me with my car. Had to set up another appointment to come in which is frustrating since this was my only time off to bring it in. Hopefully this gets fixed then. read more

The curse of living in midtown has finally visited me. Yesterday morning, I walked out to my car, and found the driver's side window entirely smashed and shattered all over the inside of the car and street. Why did someone choose to do this to my old trusty Honda, which contains not even a CD player? They didn't even take anything because there wasn't even a water bottle in there! It was just smashed because they were a lowlife. Horror. Sadness. What do I do first, besides burst into tears? My insurance company immediately dispatched Speedy Auto Glass right to me within an hour, and the wonderful and understanding young man fixed my window in roughly 45 mintues. They aren't messing around here. He completely removed the door, shop vac'd everything up, completely removed all the glass from every inch of the car, AND swept up the glass and leaves around the tires. TOP NOTCH SERVICE. I hope I, nor anyone I know will ever have such a need for Speedy Auto Glass again...But if for some reason I do, I will know exactly who to call or recommend. I woke up the second day of my new job to a large crack in the front window of my car. It was right in my line of sight where I drive. Yes, life is lame and unfair. Speedy is the only window repair place in Davis, so I figured it was worth a shot. They did my repair on a Saturday (nice to have now that I'm working again), and they were done quickly - they quoted an hour and were done even faster. Everyone I dealt with, including people on the phone and my repair guy, were very friendly and professional. My window is good as new. My only gripe is that their window repair was pricier than other places I've lived. I guess the captive audience in Davis means they can up their prices? I searched the yolo area to get my windshield replaced and decided I'd stop by yesterday afternoon to get a quote. I dropped by nearly 15 mins before they were closing but I communicated to the receptionist that I just wanted a quote. From the moment I stepped in & started asking questions I already felt uncomfortable. I forgot her name but she avoided any eye contact, responded with as few words as possible, and made me feel dumb for asking questions about the replacement process. I got a quote and left quickly. This morning I thought I would try to set up an appointment solely because their price was fair & I was told by her that they could replace it next day. Might be the same female receptionist because I got this rude energy right away, however, she said I could only have my windshield replaced if I've ordered the parts through an appointment. So there seems to be associates that aren't on the same page, both doing a pretty bad job. I was looking forward to being serviced in my local city, rather leave this review and look elsewhere! UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: She never communicated she was ready to book for next day, she just said I could come in tomorrow. As I stated, she used her words as sparingly as possible. Your CSR this morning never offered to replace a windshield later this afternoon. Also I was never offered to have my windshield replaced at home or work. So, because of unfortunate circumstances, my windshield was compromised. Figured I'd probably need a replacement eventually, until one section decided to crack more. Speedy Glass was recommended by two family members, so I called, not having any idea how to handle getting a replacement. From the front office gal, who called my insurance company and stayed on the line (OMG, my insurance covered all but the deductible!), to the installer who took me early, even though I was there a good half hour before my appointment, and who walked me through what would be done before he started, they made having to deal with the whole thing a breeze! So two people at work have gotten their windows/windshields replaced at this place. It's the only one in Davis, so I didn't really want to have to take my car somewhere in Woodland. I had a pretty sizeable crack on my windshield that got bigger because of the heat. Sad. Called on Friday at 2pm and was told they could have someone fix it the same day! However, when I drove home, I saw the horrible traffic going towards Sac and figured that I wouldn't be getting my windshield fixed that day because their warehouse is in Sac. It was no surprise then that I did get a phone call saying they could come to my work and fix the windshield at no extra cost!!!! say what?! haha Awesome. The person who came couldn't find where I worked. i don't know the exact address of my building since it's on campus, but i gave him pretty accurate directions since I drive to work every day on 80W... He was really irritated because he couldn't find the building and started giving me attitude. Hey buddy, I don't memorize all the lot numbers around campus, so please don't yell at me saying it's annoying that I don't know where the hell I am. I said the street name and even asked some stranger to verify where I was. Ugh. I told him he iddn't have to come anymore if he was getting so frustrated and apologized for not knowing the exact address of the building. I woulda given them 3 stars, but the guy apologized afterwards and said he shouldn't have gotten that angry at me. PROS: Speedy Service, great job done on the windshield! Honestly, I had the most headache free experience in my life with Speedy Glass. After, my car was broken into and I had looked into filing a claim with my insurer, I had gone to Mazda of Vacaville, quoted $600 + labor not including my deductible which would have made my out of pocket experience well over $700 for a passenger side rear window. Looked up and found Speedy Glass online, was contacted by office coordinator in minutes, given a quote and between 5 PM on Monday and 9 AM on Tuesday of the same week, my car had been vacuumed out, window replaced and only cost me $199 out the door. Seriously, I was so grateful after driving around for over three weeks waiting for my car to be fixed at Mazda. I didn't even have to file a claim because the cost was totally reasonable, their customer service was also pretty awesome.
