What a great find! One of my breakers kept tripping and staying in the off position, of course this happens days before Thanksgiving (eyeroll). My old electrician moved far away so I've been on the lookout for a new one for awhile but not urgently until this breaker issue. So in desperate searches, I contacted many electricians through the Yelp request-a-quote function and heard from Several of them who either had ridiculous hourly rates or were booked up until after the holiday weekend (most of them were super nice). Because Juan didn't really give me any additional information in his initial response (like pricing, availability, etc), beyond it would need in-person troubleshooting, I totally forgot about him. As I was sitting my living room with extension cords running all over the place from other rooms with working power, I figured I should contact him again, not really expecting a response (on Thanksgiving morning-sorry). Well he replied within a couple minutes and was at my house in 2 hours with his son-- I forgot his name but he was very sweet and patient as he is learning the trade from his dad. Juan identified and fixed the problem in maybe 15 minutes! He answered all of my questions and explained the problem/process to me in the frigid cold. He gave me a great "last-minute-on a holiday morning-super cold outside" rate. This was an "easy" fix so I don't know about larger jobs but I will definitely be in contact for future work, of which I have much. Loved their service. My ceiling fan was not working from last two years. Juan dropped by and looked into the issue. He was very good in troubleshooting the issue which shows that he's very knowledgeable regarding his work. It was a simple fix but really appreciate him coming in and fixing it. Juan and his crew upgraded today my electrical box to a bigger one, allowing for additional breakers. I contacted 5 more companies with great reviews in Yelp and Juan was the very best in communication: very quick, explaining options and even sent me a picture of the box he would install. He was also very competitive on pricing and really flexible with his time. I was in an urgent situation and he gave me a rough estimate on the day I contacted him, came the next day to confirm the estimate (which was almost the same he had shared with me), and made the whole installation the day after (including figuring out what circuit was each line, which I didn't have before). He always answered patiently all my questions, including explaining them well to me (I am not an expert). They also wore masks (this was just after COVID restrictions allowed, so I really appreciated that) and left everything totally clean. Juan promised to call when he could schedule the work. He did not call. After a week, I called him. He promised to come on Saturday, three days away. He did not show up, or call to let me know he wasn't coming. We waited and waited. I called him, and he said he would come later. He did not come. When I called him on Monday he scheduled for Wednesday, and did not come or call again. We waited and waited. I think this is unacceptable. If he had a problem, he could have called to let us know. Juan is the man! In my house, the entryway and hallway lights (3 light total) are all connected on the same switch and they either flickered or didn't turn on or would be on and then start randomly start flickering or turning off and freaked out my kids. My husband fancied himself an electrician and tried fixing it himself - several times - each time making it worse. Finally, I came to Yelp to look for an actual electrician. Juan replied almost immediately, he showed up when he said he would, was able to figure out right away what the problem was, did a quick fix that same day and told me he would be back the next day to complete the job and he did. The breaker in kitchen gets over loaded easily.(old home) he was able to come up with a plan to distribute the power from the appliances better. Two days later the breaker still tripped.
