First, I have been dealing with chronic health issues for two decades and have been to countless specialists of conventional medicine as well other alternative medicine practitioners, never getting much relief and only seeing my symptoms multiply over the years. I found Dr. Akhter because he lives nearby...to be honest, because of my history, I didn't expect much. But I was desperate and don't currently have insurance. As the appointment was ending, I asked what ever happened to my bloodwork and she said they still didn't have it but she would check (I had the labs done 2 weeks prior!). As I was leaving and getting into my car, Dr. C called and said they did, in fact, have the bloodwork and went over everything with me. While I liked Dr. C overall, between no one being at the front desk at the time of appointments and a super rushed first visit, it was a kinda crummy first impression, enough to make me cancel.
