Nova Pizza is awesome! I came in for dinner a few weeks ago and tried the white mushroom slice, deep dish marinara, margherita, and the white onion with a friend. All were nicely heated up before being served! In terms of slice rankings, I'd put the mushroom up front, followed by the margherita, onion, and finally the deep dish. I personally prefer less saucy pizza but the mushroom slice had an excellent balance of flavor and sauce. Despite being a little bit on the greasy side, it had a great umami punch and garlic sauce. The margherita was a classic slice and I don't have any complaints. On the other hand, the deep dish was too saucy and carb heavy for my liking- my friend liked it though! I got a second slice because I wasn't full, and enjoyed the white onion slice. It was topped with fresh scallions, but I thought it needed a little bit more... even adding pepper flakes didn't bring the flavor to the notch I wanted. The main draw to Nova Pizza was a solid indoor seating area. In the winter, it's nice to sit inside and enjoy some warm pie slices! :)

It is simply a beautiful establishment.

Spontaneously stopped into Nova Pizza & Grill yesterday evening post work. I was famished, and - during my futile attempt to directly make it to the subway - I was seduced by Nova's bright and friendly demeanor. : ) Well, it turns out that I'm so glad that I stopped in. It still has that brand new feeling - everything is fresh, clean and sparkling - and the staff members were incredibly kind and welcoming. I must have exchanged five to ten smiles with them, prior to even sitting down to eat! I chose a slice of their mushroom pizza, which was delicious. It was warm, crispy and light. It was also satisfying! I've had a lot of slices in my day, and this was one of the best. Welcome to the UES, Nova! We're happy to have you here. : ) Warmly and in Pizza Love, Katherine/Kat

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.
