A small Portuguese place with food, snacks, desserts etc. I had Fish with two salads. Really huge portions for salads. Fish was okay too. No complaints. Comes with a delicious sauce. All at a very reasonable price. Service is friendly. We ate in. Plenty of seating space. We did not see a menu around. They do have one online. This restaurant and bakery has a wide variety of authentic Portuguese foods and baked goods. Their pastel de natas, bolinhos, and other foods were as good as the ones we had in Portugal. The prices could've been cheaper, but it wasn't too bad. The staff was friendly, I wish they had a written menu for the baked goods, and the restaurant was clean. If you are looking for some good Portuguese foods and delectable desserts, I would highly recommend coming here. read more

Ordered combo #3 with greek salad on the side for 6pm. We got there at about 6pm and the chicken was in a warming oven already cut up uncovered and they didn't cover it till it came out of the oven and the chicken at that time wasn't very hot. 5 stars for some damn good Portuguese chicken and egg tarts. My grandma and I had a wee day date before I headed off into the city for a work conference and she took me to Nova. They have a grill set up cafeteria style on one side and a bakery displaying all their baked goods on the other. Their menu is pretty simple - rice platters, wraps, sandiwches, or pasta. I decided to get their (half) chicken platter w/ rice and oven roasted potatoes while my grandma got their pasta special of the day. Their chicken was delicious! Perfectly seasoned and came with my choice of sauce on top (hot sauce all the way!). It kind of reminded me of a more gourmet version of Nando's. The portions were also huge! I'm happy I decided to go for the half order, because there's no way I could've finished the full order. My grandma and I also split egg tarts for dessert and picked up a pack of 6 to go. Egg tarts are my newest obsession and Nova's hit my sweet tooth spot perfectly. Would love to come back here during my next trip to Brampton to try out their wraps and some more of their egg tarts. read more

Always a pleasure coming here. Theyve even hired a few summer students They jave plenry of options I love the sandwiches but I am not allowed to hve coldcuts while pregnant. So i just hot some snacks. My fav was the shrimp turnovers i believe theyre called. Actual chuncks of shrimos w some sort of creamy filling so goood. I also got some cod croquettes, also great. They are room temperature when you buy them and super delicious. Id love to taste them hot out the oven. I also got custard tarts , i believe they cost 1.40 each but a pack of 6 is only 3.99$ super cheap. So i went w the package instead. Will definitely be back whenever in brampton. The girls ay the front are super friendly and they have alot of senior customers who are real cheeky and funny. Super fun enviroment, they also have a mini patio out back if you wanna soak in some sun. read more

Absolutely amazing food!! Being Portuguese, the food is authentic!!! The staff is well trained and well mannered. The restaurant is super clean and well looked after. For the amount of food you get, it's every well priced!! The plate was HUGE so go with a big appetite! The desert was soooooo good. Chocolate mousse....YUM! Definitely a must go for everyone!! We went here and got food for takeout. We thought the 1/4 chickens were good, not too dry but not exactly flavourful either. We had rice, potatoes, mixed veggies and coleslaw. All of which was decent. We also tried the carrot cake, it was moist but did not like the whip cream in between the layers. The custard in the foil cup was okay, though a little burnt tasting. I would prefer a tart, but they had none at the time. Overall, I would eat here again and the quantity of food seemed to be a good value. read more

Terrible food and terrible service. We ordered steak and potatoes for a family of 4. Everyone's potatoes were raw and the steak was burnt and dried out. The woman who packed the food was very rude, and when we called to tell her about our meal being completely inedible she was very rude and said the potatoes are almost always raw because they make them in large batches and then she hung up the phone. read more

i went in for my usual espresso and what a mistake . i was already having a bad day but when i walked in it got alot worse. the 2 girls working , one i believe to be jennifer and the other was the short one with the big bum and a tatoo on the back of her neck . made me feel like i was bothering them when i placed my food order. there was no greeting made me wait 5 mins before anyone even said anything. after taking my order the short one let out a big sigh that i was taking time out of her day. didnt say anything till the food was ready then just said the price took my money , gave me change and walked away. no thanks no byes. i figure if u dont want to serve people then get out of the food service industry. jennifer could have helped me sooner but she was wiping the counter over and over and it wasnt even dirty. i guess i will have to go to ardglen bakery for my buns and cold cuts. its too bad cause nova grill is much closer but on wed march 4 was the last straw. just horrible service read more
