Found this coffee shop based on its Yelp reviews when I walked in I was greeted kindly. They had a clear menu which was easy to read and to order from. They had a really good ambiance with good music playing in the background. Great window to view outside. I drink coffee black, any foo foo drink can taste good with all that extra sugar but there's only one other coffee I have found that was as balanced and as smooth as the coffee at nova coffee. The avocado toast I ordered was really good too. I'm glad I found this little gem and hope it's here for years to come. I'll be going there regularly. Amazing coffee! New Orleans iced latte is just the right amount of sweet for this bold pick me treat! Donuts are always a nice treat with unique flavors. Pick up donuts before 11am or they can be a little less than fresh. Food is usually on point. Avocado toast or build your own bowl with avocado and black beans are my go to! It tasted like if Jesus and Guy Fiery made lambas bread in the Lord of the Rings and instead of taking that stuff to Mordor they went to Philadelphia and back to Warren, Ohio. I was in Ohio visiting family and of course had to try this little local coffee shop out. I really loved the minimalist boho-ish chic feel. The staff was friendly, they also had small bites like donuts and avocado toast. Their menu was very expansive and there was a lot of different coffee drinks to choose from with nut milk options instead of cows milk. I had asked for oat milk which they did not have, no big deal! I did let them know how much of a game changer it is and one of their baristas mentioned that a customer had just come in a few weeks prior and said the same thing, so that's definitely something they are considering adding to their menu for non dairy options. Their prices were reasonable and the maple latte I got was really really good. I forgot to snap a photo of it tho. The coffee tasted rich and strong and I got almond milk as a "cream". I recommend this establishment if you're in the area, definitely try this out and support small local business rather than giving your money to a chain! read more

What a great new addition to downtown Warren! Nova is the cutest little coffee shop and their donuts are freaking amazing! I have never loved cake donuts but these -- these I could eat a whole box of and not think twice! I think it is because they do not just crumble when you bite into them, they have the nice thicker "crust" but the insides are so soft and almost to me have a buttery flavor. I could eat them plain... but they have so many excellent flavors I don't think I'll ever have to! We have been three times now and gotten different flavors in our mixed dozen each time. I am a huge fan of their chocolate with the cream center and their fruity pebbles! Yep you read that right! It's a donut dipped in a glaze top and covered in fruity pebbles and it is really yummy! Other outstanding flavors include the Betty White, caramel popcorn and my daughters favorite - the maple bacon. I also must add the Homer Simpson is another I really liked. It's signature pink glaze has a hint of strawberry! I can also say that their New Orleans iced coffee is spot on! As a true Nola girl this coffee is defiantly something I could find back home and I love being able to have a taste of home right here with me! Looking forward to watching this place grow! By the way people rave on here, I can only assume they are friends and family. I am highly skeptical that a coffee shop in downtown Warren is going to save the entire Rust Belt as mentioned in the previous review. But anyways, the best thing about this place is the decor, which is super modern and trendy. It definitely stands out in the square. It actually feels out of place. You have these old, decrepit buildings and streets around the corner and here you have this totally spotless and cold trendy coffee shop. Where Mocha House is sort of charming in its outdatedness, Nova comes across as trying really hard to be cool. In this situation, think of Mocha House like a 60 year old Dad who still wears embarrassing Dad jeans and Nova as the rebellious teen who loves ripped skinny jeans. To be honest, skinny jeans aren't awful if you have the body shape and style to pull them off. Nova could maybe actually pull off the skinny jeans thing if they had the coffee and service to back up the look. Instead, their lukewarm pourover for $5.50 feels like that Dad trying to squeeze his gut into a pair of those pants. That's a premium level price point even in a major city, and the level of service and expertise is just not there to justify it. I have been there twice now just to try to give it the benefit of doubt (my barista looked like they were 16 the first time and looked thoroughly confused the entire time) but I was shocked to find out they are working on expanding their menu for food offerings. Instead of trying to expand their menu, they should probably figure out how to do the basics first and then gradually raise their prices once they get an actual following. Unless of course, the plan is to just hang out with their friends all day and disregard legitimate paying customers. In that case, they're right on track. read more

Most of the Youngstown/Warren area was comprised of somewhere you didn't want to find yourself after dark, I thought. It was just the ultimate negative representation of the Rust Belt, I thought. Enter Nova Coffee. Nova is now the ultimate representation of the true Rust Belt mentality. It is a peek into the hearts and minds of who these people really are. We work hard. (Sometimes. Other times we sleep all day.) We do what we do for the good of others. (Other times we sleep all day.) We build places to foster community and friendship. (Other times we sleep all day.) "What goes down must come up." The determination is there. And places like Nova are what will push the limits to the skies and bring the success up to way beyond what it ever was. This is just amazing. "And it's too good to be false." I'm still dazed and blown away. This place is just so good. Let's talk about where Nova falls in the coffee shop standards. Firstly, it's gorgeous. The storefront is just inarguably the best ever. Then inside, oh the aesthetics. We've got the classic ceiling tiles, the gold light fixtures, the brick wall with chunks of remaining plaster. The concrete countertops and the subway tiles. The wooden benches and the wooden walls. The abundance of Insta-worthy nooks and corners. Terrariums with succulents. Terrariums with donuts. It goes on. And then the product. They are a multi-roaster, currently with Novel from D-town and Metropolis from Chi-town. They use a La Marzocco Linea and make pour-overs and a small variety of specialty drinks. The coffee speaks of quality and the taste reveals the same. And the donuts. Made in house, with skill. And taste. There is even a donut-sized chicken and waffle. Everything that's gone down my gullet so far has been top-notch and worthy of a second round. Now. "Believe everything you read." Logan and staff always serve amazing drinks with their creative logo design and the doughnuts are also fresh and not overdone or dry like popular chains. The toast with avocado and the egg is also fresh and tasty. The breakfast burritos are also good no matter what you put in them. Stopped in for coffee figured give it a shot --local place people've been talking about it; good and bad mixed. So I figured let me give it a shot. I ordered coffee to stay. It came in a paper cup. When I asked for a mug they said they don't have the right size and went into a long-winded explanation which I could care less about. WOW BEST CAKE DONUTS EVER! If you're planning to check it out you have to go on Saturday and try their Savory Saturday donut! I've gone every week and they have not failed to please me! (Pulled pork & chicken and waffles have been my fave so far). I would 10/10 recommend their drinks too, just this week I think I've managed to accomplish finishing the drink menu and can't decide which is my favorite!.... Overall.... Go!.... I hope that more places like this pop up in Downtown Warren. They need them. I talked my Dad into coming here instead of his usual Panera to read the paper while I was home for Christmas break. He knew the place as soon as we parked because him and my mom got their wedding rings from the jeweler that used to be in this spot. It is a bit trendy and the drinks prices are a little steep, but I like the feel of the inside. The donuts (Betty White and the Nova special) were great. I'm not sure if my Dad will ever go back by himself, but I'll be back when I'm back in town. Hope it does well and that other businesses start popping up around it. read more

I was super happy to find this cute little trendy coffee shop and cafe while on vaca. The space is good for kids, and the prices are OH SO CHEAP. The coffee menu included traditional drinks and a few more current options (pour overs, honey lavender lattes). The food was tasty and appealing- esp the donuts! Food and coffees were pretty good! Hours are a little limited. A friend and I were catching up for the first time in 2 years, and we were not aware that they close at 3. However, it felt like they were trying to push us out eventhough it was only 2 when they told us they were closing. They even cranked up the volume of the music so we couldn't hear each other talk! The atmosphere is really nice and the owner (I only met one) was incredibly nice and receptive. But to be honest people really want to know about the coffee and food right! Both are very good and fresh! That seems to be a common practice among the newer businesses on Courthouse Square...engaging owners that take pride in their product! Super cute little coffee shop with Delicious gourmet donuts and breakfast sandwiches. It's located on the square in Warren, within walking distance of downtown businesses and shops. The Sweet Home Avocado is excellent but a little spicy with the pepper flakes. I def recommend this quaint little shop for good food and coffee. read more
