There are a bunch of businesses and Rev doesnt have a big grand sign screaming "Hey I'm over here!". Look for a black gate or maybe it's another dark color. I'm not too sure. It was dark and had already been drinking. Haha. There is a sign on that gate. Have your uber pull up by that gate. Yes, take an uber! Trust me. There is a number on that sign that you need to call and they will open the gate for you. I love that little speak easy vibe!! We had a Groupon for this hard to find winery and went there on a Friday night - against the recommendations they had for us on the phone. At about 8 pm there were just a couple of people there. The tasting room is quite spacious, well organized and has plenty of seating. It is also very pleasant and has a great vibe. Their back wall is actually one huge door that they tend to keep open, so if you don't like drafts or being chilly, stay towards the middle of the room. The barrels for tables and chairs look cool, but we discovered real furniture was more comfortable. We were greeted and welcomed right away by Ivette and she was stellar the whole night - we really enjoyed her service and her company. The tasting gives you 4 flights, and then you get one for free if you check-in on Yelp. You can choose either all reds, all whites, or mix them up. They didn't have a huge variety of wines to start with, and were out of 2-3 choices, so the pickings were not that great, but their wine was pretty decent. A lot of people were actually getting their beers, which they also brew themselves. By 9 pm it got quite busy, and people were standing around waiting for seats to open, so do keep this in mind. Also, you are allowed to bring your own cheese plate or whatever other picnic of your choosing, as I don't believe they serve food there. So go ahead and pay them a visit! read more

Came here on a week day for some wine, beer and tacos. Service is outstanding. Definitely helpful if you don't know what you want to drink and they will give you a taste of things if you are still undecided. The atmosphere is very chill and it is a great place to bring a group and just hang out. The decor is kind of folksy, kind of rock and roll, kind of artsy and kind of wine-y! Ha! This particular time they had a really good taco truck outside, so tacos and beer were on point. The location is a bit strange, but it works. They are inside a kind of commercial/warehouse type lot, and it does have a gate that I've been told may be closed when you arrive, but if you buzz in, they will open the gate - so in a sense, a bit like a speakeasy. Visited this little gem last night with my boyfriend and I am more then happy we did. We had a groupon for $9 for two. This place is secretly hidden in a gated business community. There is a sign right out front that says "Rev Winery". Keep an eye out when searching for it. Call them to open the gate for you. Saturday night was packed with private parties and lot of local covina residents. Music was perfect for the "vibe" of the place. We got a flight of both wine and beer. Symphony was my favorite wine! I loved all the beers too! Since the place was so packed and we were standing most of the time, the owner Eddie came by and talked to us. Hooked us up with some food. LOVE their mead beer! Slightly sweet and light! My husband, on the other hand, loved zangif (sp?). It was dark and thick for my taste but we switched so we were both happy with our tasting flights. For a local craft brewery, Rev Brewing is neither brewing great, good, or decent beers. A friend and I tried the citra hops ale and a cider. Both were very underwhelming. The beers literally taste like mild beer-flavored water with bubbles. This might be okay when you're starting off as a homebrewer and accomplish your first brew, but this doesn't fly when you're a legitimate brewing company in a business park. Standards are much higher when you're serving the public at large. My homebrewer friends can brew far better than what's being served on tap here. There are lot of small craft breweries all around Southern California that are brewing some great stuff. Rev is playing Pop Warner while everyone else is competing in JV or Varsity. Different leagues of beer. Rev needs to visit the breweries in the South Bay and North Orange County to taste what those guys are brewing, take notes to learn, and re-calibrate their taste buds. Otherwise, Rev is just gonna remain a small, local brewery hiding behind the gates of this Covina business park. Anyone who's giving Rev 4 or 5 stars is not being truthful or has no clue to what the other microbreweries in our SoCal region are brewing since they've never visited. With so much craft beer flowing in the country today, I don't know how you can't distinguish between bad, good, and great beer. A fun place to grab a beer or wine with friends or by yourself. Because really, the staff is friendly and welcoming and will gladly join in a conversation with you. Like many of the breweries and wineries in the area, this is tucked away in an industrial area. A bit tough to find, look for the little stand up sign on the sidewalk. If it's after 5 or 6pm the gate is closed. Don't fret, give them a call and they'll run out to let you in. It has plenty of seating and plenty of drinks to choose from. Sometimes they have food trucks (based off their instagram posts), but I've never been there when they do. I always bring in my own food. Dogs are allowed. My fiancé and I went to REV Winery today and enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up staying there for about 3 hours just talking and tasting their beverages. This was our first time in a winery and we had a blast. The atmosphere in the winery is very inviting, everyone is extremely friendly, and they legitimately just want their customers to relax and enjoy the wine. My favorite wine was the Symphony and his favorite beer was the Saison. I would definitely recommend this winery to everyone! By the way, the city of Covina is having a wine walk on June 14th and REV will be there so I recommend visiting their booth that night to try out their stuff! read more

The beer and wine that they have available is always SO good!! The Lord Vadyr and Pineapple Sour are some great choices on tap. I cannot remember which wines I tried, but I enjoyed all of them. This place constantly has cool events going on, too. My friend and I visited for the first time because of Groupon. We ended up staying for a Halloween event and had an awesome time!! We went not too much later when they had an English Breakfast event. And we can't wait to go to their Cupcake and Wine Pairing event!! This has really become one of our favorite places. My husband and I used to frequent this place when it was Rev. We thought we'd give Nova a try. We went once when it first opened and were extremely disappointed. However, we figured since it was new ownership we'd wait until the new owner made it their own. Today, months later we went again to support a local business in our community and it was worse than the first time. They have no people skills like the previous owner, their choice in music is between putting you to sleep and somewhat at times sounded demonic. Both workers who were there man/women were on their laptops the whole time. No interaction with us or anyone. They never checked on us and again no people skills. Definitely not going back. Came here last night. If you haven't been, then you should. My friends and his dog were in the area (came from Lynwood) and we were trying to find a place where we can eat/drink and take his dog too. Cue in REV. There was a little confusion in finding the place, and once you get there, after a certain hour, the gate into the industrial strip is closed so you have to call the place and they'll let you in. It was 7:50 and we called about 8-10 times without answer. That was a little frustrating. We were about to leave and luckily a car from inside was leaving so we rushed in through the gate. Once inside they had a jazz/blues/blue grass type band playing. We had read on their IG Page that they were having bbq, unfortunately there were no signs of it anywhere (....we were hungry so that's why -1 star) The crowd seemed like regulars. The place itself is very welcoming and non-pretentious. Got a glass of wine and a beer. I got the Pinot Noir and my friend got the mango-salt something beer. My wine was really good and he wasn't a fan of his beer. But then again, he's not a drinker to begin with. An hour into our visit, the owner of the place comes out. Huge personality, in a good way, very engaging and friendly. He asked how we were, shook our hands and as a very wise humble business man introduced himself by name (irks me when owners of any place say, 'Im the owner here, nice to meet you' and don't get their name) what kind of dog we had and little small talk. Being all about 'service-makes-the-place', this set them in top of other similar establishments. Anyway, we stood there way past their closing hour and we were never told to leave or felt rushed. Finally we left and as I'm walking out the owner tells me Sunday's are reggae night and we should come back, and gives me a huge hug lol like a friend would when leaving their place. So, I guess we'll be back. If you're not the drinking type, give this place a shoot and at least come for the atmosphere(and food, if you come early haha). read more

I have come to this place once before, during a paint night I got from Groupon, and I loved it here. The service was great and the beers were delicious. So I decided to come on Saturday night and bring my friend and his girlfriend, who were from out of town, and 4 others. My friend's girlfriend has Celiacs disease so this was the perfect place, she could enjoy wine while the rest of us could enjoy our beers. Although when we arrive, which was only 10:30pm , they had told us the taps were closed and were closing up. According to yelp, they close at midnight on Saturdays, so I asked what time they closed. The bartender said "around 10 or 11". So specific. We left pretty upset and took our business elsewhere. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I called REV with the intention of purchasing beer from them and featuring their product for a community event I am helping plan. When the man answered he did not say his name. I asked to whom I was speaking with, and he rudely answered "Andrew." I said hello and introduced myself. He quickly CUT ME OFF and said "I don't have time to talk about real estate stuff. I'm on the clock and actually working right now so I don't have time to talk to you." I was immediately taken back by his lack of respect, nonexistent customer service and complete rudeness! I said "I too am working and was calling to purchase beer from REV, but never mind." Once he was made aware that I was a customer wanting to buy something and that I was not trying to sell him anything (not sure why he even thought that in the first place) he did not apologize, but instead just said "ok" and hung up. You'd think once he realized that he'd made a mistake he would have shown some type of remorse, but no. He he was so quick to dismiss me and not value my business. A key element to running a successful business is stellar customer service, and Andrew provided me with the complete opposite. Even if I had been calling to sell him something, I didn't deserve that type of treatment as if I was insignificant. A simple " I'm not interested, but thank you" would have been completely acceptable. Sadly this was my first experience with REV and I can assure you I will NEVER be visiting or recommending this establishment. My father in law brought me here, I was a little worried about it because it was dark and we seemed to pull into an industrial type area, but my worries were laid to rest once we got inside. Very cool looking place with wine barrels as tables, the restrooms have chalkboards on them and they have various games including Jenga. I would definitely recommend coming here, I enjoyed a beer sampler and eventually bought a pint of the sour punch? I can't remember the name but it was a very sour pineapple beer that got better with each sip. The owner Edward came by and introduced himself to the group which I found to be amazing, his customer service skills are exactly what every owner should have. My only complaint is the food truck they had out back was a bad experience, I ended up trying some of the bacon/siracha beef jerky and it was great.
