(Still leaking btw) they said it was the "gasKeT" and I would have to pay another $48 to get this repaired. They said I should have brought it the day after i got the oil changed. Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !

And so, you go home, and you Google "Best independent mechanic in _____ zip code," and you see what pops up on Yelp, and you read some promising reviews, and you make an educated guess as to which mechanic sounds like your best bet, and you drive to their location with a hope and a prayer that this random garage you found on Yelp can fix your vehicle in a timely manner without charging you an arm and a leg. In that case, I'm happy to report that AV Auto can! Long story short, my check engine light came on, I ran (free) diagnostics at AutoZone, I went to the dealership, I left the dealership, I cursed the dealership, and then I found AV Auto on Yelp. AV confirmed the diagnosis (I needed a new engine coolant pump), recommended I get the part online (for a better price), set a time for the repair, and finished the job in less time than they quoted me. If only everything in life was this easy! So if you're reading this, and you're thinking to yourself, "Can I trust this random dude on Yelp about this random garage on Yelp?" the answer is: "Yes. Yes you can."

Few shops would take this job on, but Rabih showed genuine compassion for my situation and my love of the Jaguar. He is a car guy. Due to the age of the car (22 years), it was hard to get all the necessary parts, but Rabih persisted and personally tracked down even the most difficult pieces to restore the Jaguar to "as new" condition. Some reviews say he is expensive. I am experienced in car repair and can say with authority he is priced right on the market, actually a little lower considering the EXCELLENT quality of his shop's work. Quality is critical for major repairs, or nightmares will manifest over time. My Jaguar drives perfectly and looks pristine a year later. That's what matters.

In connection with a planned 2000 mile trip, I took the SUV to my long-time mechanic, Ise Automotive, in Los Feliz. When I picked up the car, I was told that there was something "odd" about the Michelin tires on the vehicle and that I should have them checked out by a tire expert. He recommended American Tire Centers, with whom he'd done business for decades. I was skeptical, as I'd put very few miles on the tires, but nevertheless called American to determine when I might have them inspected. Vahe ("Vic") said I could bring in the vehicle the same afternoon. When I arrived, the lot was filled with cars under some stage of repair or replacement. Nevertheless, Vic turned immediately to examining my Michelin tires. To my untutored eye, they looked pristine. However, after completing his inspection, Vic said that due to their age, the rubber was separating from the material beneath. This, he told me, is why tire warranties are valid for a maximum number of Miles (usually 50,000) OR time period (in this case, five years). It was clear I was going to have to replace the tires. The question, then, was "With what?" At the age of 80, I am a "careful" consumer. When I'm teeing up to buy a product or to commission a service, I do my homework. In this case, however, it had largely been done for me. Paired with a string of online recommendations attesting to the honesty of the shop, I also had absolute confidence in my mechanic of several decades, who had sent me to Vic with his endorsement. I purchased a set of four new Michelins. Vic said he'd do an alignment only if it were necessary. The next morning (less than 24 hours after I'd been advised by my mechanic to have an expert inspect the tires), the car was ready for pickup. Vic told me to bring it back for inspection when I returned from my trip. Conclusion: I could not have been happier or more impressed with the treatment accorded me by Vic and his colleagues. They were professional, prompt and, I believe, honest in their pricing. Based upon my experience, I've no hesitancy in recommending them without reservation.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I was in a heavy collision that destroyed the rear end of my Mercedes Benz SL. I was rushed to the hospital and, fortunately, I only had minor issues. My car on the other hand had a destroyed rear end. I was hoping it would be a total loss so I could get a new car but the value of my car was too high and I was told to get it repaired. I brought the car to Armen at Nova Auto Center. He took a long time but when I picked up the car I wasn't able to find any signs/clues that the car was wrecked from the back. The work was impeccable. Armen, also, ended up not charging me the deductible that I had to pay pending a conclusion to the investigation of the accident. Although they take their time and it might take a few hours to get a call back sometimes the man ended up doing/providing everything he said he would. Overall the experience was OK. read more

Nova Auto Center is the best of the best!! Armen help me out tremendously. My girlfriend was involved in a hit and run, Armen took care of everything from A to Z. He took the time to speak to insurance company for us, he spoke to the insurance adjuster that came to inspect the my girlfriend's RAV4. After doing all of that for us, he finally was able to do the only duty he was responsible for which was to fix the RAV4. The RAV4 came back amazing. Everything was fix and more. It is weird how all the bad reviews are replied by the owner with "I do not know this person" (there's a reason why people write reviews) TRUST THOSE BAD REVIEWS!! Would not recommend this auto shop. Even the surrounding auto shops know the kind of cheap quality work that is done at this shop. I would not recommend this place at all! Pico Blvd is filled with much better options! This auto shop was supposed to fix my engine. My car ended up breaking down in the middle of the road. I had to tow my car to another repair shop. The management did nothing to help me out and I was stranded on the road. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! read more

My car died right in front of their shop (Nova Auto Center), The manager Armen immediately came out with the guys and helped push the car into the shop and diagnosed it. Ended up needing a new battery; they put one in for $120, that's parts and labor,, WOW Nice!! I called Autozone and they sell the battery itself for $155. Very fortunate that my car decided to break down in front of Nova Auto Center. Armen is the best!! My one and only go to shop. Many thanks to Armen and employees !! read more

This place is most of all reliable and affordable! I've been to some shady places where they overcharge you and replace multiple things and the problem still isn't fixed. Arman and the guys at Pico Auto Center are very honest and reliable. They found my problem right away, fixed it, and charged me a fair price. They even go above and beyond!!
