For massage, I did a 90 min "attunement" that combines deep tissue, Swedish, and heat/hot stone. Great way to try everything. Treatment rooms are indoor/outdoor and very comfortable. There is a 20% service changer added, most of which goes to the provide and a small part to the other staff. Not a budget spa menu, but if you're staying here you probably don't expect that and it's worth the experience. Highly recommend!

There are plenty of nail/hair places in Dorado, but since I am fairly new in this area I booked the whole package early morning at Salon De Estrellas as they told me they are open & have available appointments for todays afternoon. When I came in with my daughter at the scheduled time, they told me to wait, which was the first negative sign for me. After several minutes they took my daughter and said they will start with her hair while doing her nails and that she should be done in about an hour - hour & 1/2. 10 minutes later I got a call from her saying that she is almost done, explaining they told her they have no time available for her manicure & pedicure, which was the primary reason why we went & made the appointment at this salon. After rushing to the place and trying to find out what went wrong, I got to speak with SANDRO the 'Manager' of this dump. He explained to me that they are overbooked and can not accommodate my young daughter ! As I spoke to him, there were multiple people coming in & out to their appointments ( which I am sure were not scheduled more advanced than mine ) . Sandro's attitude was extremely nasty, hard for me to understand for someone who works in the service industry and should have some nice 'people skills'. Told him it's pretty shitty to refuse & cancel on a young girl and that I would not be returning here ever thanks to this negative experience. He immediately told me he would charge me $30 for the blow/dry instead of $10 just because I was complaining about them not holding on to my reservation ! I usually try to be positive and nice even in bad situations, but Sandro has been a nasty a*shole with no manners and I only wish people would decide wisely when choosing a nail place as the selection in Dorado is pretty good and Salon De Estrelas is certainly a place where the customer is not a priority or treated with respect.

I opted for the hammam, which is an elite treatment. I'd been wanting to do this treatment, at this spa, for a few years and it was fantastic. My therapist was absolutely amazing and I felt so comfortable with her. The hammam treatment happens in a stunningly tiled room. The history of hammam is explained, which I loved. My therapist explained the treatment protocol and that put me at ease. Once the treatment started, I never wanted it to end. It was so interesting and very relaxing. I left with softest skin imaginable. The Spa at Condado Vanderbilt is wonderful. This was an early anniversary trip and they gave us a lovely surprise, even though my partner opted not to partake in a spa service (now a regret of his). I get massages and facials on a regular basis at home. I was expecting more soundproofing for the service rooms. You could hear everything that was happening in the waiting area. The massage therapist was wonderful. The facial was less than what I was use to. There was a lot of down time and the esthetician left the room a couple times stating she needed to get product. I am not sure exactly what was happening but at one point I heard something that sounded like someone opening up a garbage bag. It was not a relaxing experience. I was surprised the extractions were done manually. At home my esthetician uses a machine that is less invasive. There was 1 cleanse, 1 mask, and, at most, a 1 minute face massage to incorporate products into my skin. While letting the mask dry there was a foot massage, but it was very uneven. The esthetician spend 3-4 minutes on one foot and maybe 1 minute for the other. The cost was not worth the experience. I would return for the massage only.
