I purchased a rug from Nouri Rugs last Wednesday for my parents anniversary. I know absolutely nothing about rugs but my mother has been hinting around about wanting one for some time now. I went in and was immediately greeted by a friendly man (who turned out to be the owner). He was finishing up with a couple but told me he would be with me right after he was done with them and that I should take a look around while I waited. It took about 10 min but he kept checked on me a couple of times and actually offered me water or tea while I waited (soooo nice!) They had soooo many gorgeous rugs! I originally wanted to get a large area rug for their living room but was actually about to settle on a smaller one for the entrance way because of my budget. He could see that I really liked the large one so he told me that he could work with me on the price. It was still a little more than I had available at the time and I told him I would come back during the weekend after I got paid. To my surprise he actually offered to let me pay what I had and pay the balance after I got paid. "HECK YES!!!" After he ran my card, I'm thinking this was a lay-away plan and I would pick up the rug upon paying the balance. Since I told him my parents Anniversary party was on Thursday, he insisted I take the rug THAT SAME DAY and he would run my card for the balance on Saturday morning. How awesome is that!!! I left with a fabulous rug for my parents anniversary and was able to give it to them in time for their dinner. I will DEFINITELY DEFINITELY be back and will refer Nouri Rugs to anyone who will listen. He even was nice enough to call me Saturday morning before running my card to make sure everything was in order and to ask how my parents liked the rug (of coursed they LOVED it, my mom was over the moon). I have never given anyone a bad review, but I cannot give a good review to this company. They are the worst. I needed a 9x12 rug cleaned and repaired, and was most concerned about the repair needed along the border. He told me that he could repair most of it (I might have to buy a burgundy pen to do some touch up) and clean it and it would be done in two weeks. I called to see what was going on with the rug, and he said that he didn't like the way it came it out and was going to have to have it redone. Small red flag went up. When I saw the rug, it looked as bad as it did when he came into my house and told me that he could fix most of the border. If you can't do something right, don't tell a potential customer that you can. I wish that I held back $100 because he did a lousy job. I will never recommend him. I have nothing nice to say about the quality of work that was done. I went off of the reviews of Yelp, and wouldn't be surprised if he asked people to give him good reviews or have friends write them. I can only say "buyer beware". Get in writing what he is going to do and have him sign it. I would also put a clause in stating if you are unhappy, you will not pay the full price. WORST, WORST, WORST!!! read more

The store was filthy...there were even cookies on top of one of the rug piles. The rugs were stacked so high that you couldn't even see most of the rugs. They were old and dusty. The sales person had no clue about any of the rugs...he called his boss for a final price in a rug (the only one I liked) and he told me it was $18,000 although the tag had the rug listed at more than half the price! Amazing care taken with all three of my rugs. One is quite large and needed to be cleaned and repaired. It's a vintage rug and looks like new. Another was so filthy when I bought it used I barely recognized it when I got it back (after Jay took the time to clean it TWICE). I walked into this store for the first time a few years ago with no intentions of purchasing. A year or so later, my rug was badly stained and I felt it was time for a new rug. I came back here, and was extremely impressed with their selection and pricing. I did some research and visited some other stores, and no where did I find such good quality rugs for such competitive prices.
