The space is beyond charming, with plenty of cozy seating and even private rooms upstairs that can be reserved for meetings or special events. The seasonal menu made it so hard to choose, but I'm a sucker for anything banana, so I went with the Grandma's Banana Bread Iced Latte. It was incredibly flavorful and tasted just like the name suggests. From the welcoming staff to the beautiful atmosphere and delicious drinks, Hattie's Coffee House is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

I was the only Black customer in the shop at the time, and the pattern of being repeatedly passed over while others were helped first did not feel random. When I asked about my order, I was told they were "busy," but that didn't match what I was seeing--people were consistently being served ahead of me. Being ignored for that long while others moved through quickly made me feel unwelcome and singled out. Whether intentional or not, the way this was handled came across as discriminatory and needs to be addressed. I hope management takes this seriously, looks into what happened, and ensures that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully.

Fundae's is locally owned and they even make they own ice cream just down the street from me. I was craving coffee ice cream and the clerk offered me samples of a coffee and donut ice cream and an Oreo coffee ice cream. After careful analysis, I selected the coffee/donut on a sugar cone. And it was wonderful. The shop is cute with tables inside and outside. They have over 35 flavors and several size cones, cups or milk shakes. Ice cream cakes are available for carry-out (believe me, I thought about it), The clerk was friendly and attentive. There's plenty of parking. In and out of the strip mall is a bit confusing, but worth it. The shop is less than a mile off the highway. Well worth a visit.

I had never heard of this company. But while eating lunch at AMP while their Winter Farmers Market…read morewas going on, I noticed a constant line at this one booth. So I had to check it out. There was a lovely young woman with her daughter selling cookies and cakes in a jar. I was impressed by how well she knew and described her product. Her young daughter also introduced herself and it was obvious that she feels part of the business with her mom. I purchased two of the cakes in a jar. One was a special Mardi Gras with cinnamon bourbon and sprinkles, the other was Dark Chocolate with white cream frosting.  Both were absolutely delicious. At only $7 each they were well worth the price!  I will return to the next Farmers Market and this time try some of the beautiful unusual cookies. The woman and her daughter were delightful so please help support their business. You will enjoy meeting them and eating their "Tasty Morsel" desserts.

My husband had a Lemon raspberry shortbread cookie beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day. He loved his cookies, which was not overly sweet. It was hard to choose what cupcakes I wanted for a going away party. The flavors I picked were Samoa, Malted Caramel, Lemon Drop, Red Velvet, Chocolate and Vanilla. The icing on the cupcakes weren't too heavy and balanced. The cupcake flavor that surprised me the most were the Samoa. I don't like the actual Samoa cookies but I like that cupcake. We split the fish tacos and for a small upgrade were able to sub a wedge salad for the chips and salsa. The fish tacos (grilled) were excellent - lots of flavor. The wedge was loaded with toppings, but not as flavorful as the tacos - still a good choice though. Atmosphere was clean and attractive, and I loved the outdoor patio, but it was just too humid. The restaurant is vast and the atmosphere is comfy and rustic. The food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was all well prepared. We tried the fish, burger, mac and cheese and scallops pasta dish. I had a filet steak and it was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. I ended up purchasing slices of the sugar cream, s'mores, and confetti pie. Since I can't get my sugar cream pie from Locally Grown Gardens anymore, this has become my go to spot when I'm craving a slice. The shop itself is cozy and clean, with a couple of tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your pie right away. They have an outdoor seating area that would be perfect for enjoying a slice on a nice summer day. They also have merch available for purchase. If you're a pie lover, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
