The first thing that came to mind is CRAZY GOOD!!!! Don't buy just one, you'll regret it if you do. This is the first time I remembered to take a picture before I started eating, otherwise there would have been No Picture. Could it be that I'm learning Self Control? FAT CHANCE, RULE THAT OUT! Once you start eating it, there's no stopping! You'll eat it until you hurt. That said, don't buy just one. You'll regret it! She married two GREAT treats together like they were meant for each other (kinda like Reeses). Once again, diet BLOWN! The piece is BIG, mine was 4"× 3.5"× almost 1 1/2" inches thick. The cake was exactly what I requested, and everyone raved about how delicious it was. We chose lemon blueberry cake with buttercream and it was delectable. If taste is your primary concern, you won't be disappointed, and the cake will also be beautiful. The deduction of one star is due to a pickup issue on the day of my event. I was contacted the day prior and asked what time I planned to pickup the cake. As I was concerned about transporting such a large cake, I wanted to pick up on my way to the venue, so it would only need to be moved once. When I got to the bakery, there was a sign that stated they were closed temporarily. Of course I was panic stricken, and I called both the bakery number and cell number I messaged with previously, and I got no response. As I was on a tight time schedule, I had to leave to go to the event location to begin setting up, and we started looking for a cake alternative (thanks to my niece and daughter - and HEB - for coming through on that). After some time at the venue, I was contacted and apologized to for the mixup. Apparently there was a wedding emergency with another customer, and they left the mobile phone previously mentioned inside the bakery. They delivered to me onsite for the inconvenience. Without this incident it would have been a 5 star review all the way, but this put quite a kink in the day. I wouldn't hold this one thing against them, and would use their services in the future, and you should also give them a try if you're in need of a beautiful great tasting cake or other pastry.

At 8 AM ON the morning of my wedding, they texted me saying my order wouldn't be ready until 4 PM because their oven was having issues, which was fine with me, but they also told me they might not be able to have the full quantity I ordered ready. I was then told there was no one available to deliver the order, even though delivery had previously been discussed, and they asked if I could come pick it up instead Can you imagine being asked to arrange a pickup at 4 PM on your own wedding day? I was already getting ready and had so much going on. I didn't have time to be on my phone trying to figure out a last-minute solution, and I also had no one available at that time who could pick up the order for me. Because of that, I had no choice but to cancel. I STILL have not received my refund I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but for an important event like a wedding, especially when they knew in advance what the order was for, I really wish the situation had been handled better. At the very least, I expected my refund to be processed promptly after I had to cancel This was honestly the last thing I needed to deal with on my wedding day. Please be cautious if you're planning to order from them for a wedding or any special event, because last-minute changes like this can put you in a very difficult situation

Very good. Very simple. Not trying to recreate the wheel of cupcakes with elaborate flavors and decorations. Best part about this place (maybe not this locations) but it's been around since before WW2. If this establishment can be around that long they gotta be doing something right.

The seemingly all women team was cheerful, helpful, and delightful! The reviews were accurate. I asked first about their gf options and was offered at least a half dozen options. I settled on the buckeyes and petit fours. My gluten ingesting travel mates selected cinnamon roll cookies and the pecan cinnamon roll. The petit fours were my personal favorite, they were simply MARVELOUS! The cake was dense and moist and the frosting literally made me wish I had a whole cake! The buckeyes, the cinnamon roll and cookies also received honorable mention. All three were superb with a mug of black coffee! Do recommend that you heat the cinnamon roll if able prior to eating. We waited much longer than 5 minutes and the person who was supposed to do the writing NEVER arrived. We could see the staff texting and calling and finally one of the people working said that she was not good at it, but she offered to write on the cake for us. She didn't do a great job (all we wanted was "Happy Birthday" and my brother's name) but it was better than nothing, and my sister and I truly appreciated those that tried to assist us. My rating is based upon the horrible service by the person who was supposed to do the writing, and the fact that we paid $35 for a chocolate cake that was dry and not very good. I would not recommend this bakery, even with the great service we received from those who were working that day.

We where greeted by a nice older lady who was welcoming and answered all our questions. Let me just tell you we each got a cookie and man oh man they are worth it!! The cookies are cooked perfectly with the crispy edges and soft gooey center. The setting is cool because you get a Wonka type vibe which is awesome for willy wonka fans.
