I had an excellent interaction what I'm fairly certain was the owner of the store while visiting Chattanooga last weekend. She was welcoming and accommodating and literally went above and beyond for me. The interaction really brought some sunshine to an otherwise difficult weekend (for personal reasons). I got two of the smaller cakes -- one was lemon raspberry and the other was chocolate. I could not pick a favorite if I tried!!! They were moist and light and PERFECT. And the icing!!!! Oh. My. WORD. If you're looking for a sweet gourmet treats this is the place for you. When you walk in it's like walking into an oasis of fun happy times. There is a case with all the cakes display and the prices and all the information you mean is clearly seen. The Decour is very sophisticated girly and lots of pastel colors. They do sell more than cakes and have really cute gift ideas for everyone you can think of. The cakes are very moist and delicious and so much better than store-bought. The icing is really thick it's definitely not a buttercream but it's absolutely delicious. They always have samples to your left of the cashier for you to try and offer 6 to 8 flavors including the flavor of the month. I've been to other stores in this chain in other cities and so far I have never been disappointed. read more

Oh my goodness... RUN to try this place! Haha seriously the cakes here are so moist and flavorful! The Bundtlets (small cakes) are great, but the Bundtinis (bite size) are my favorite because they are more moist. The cream cheese frosting has such a rich and creamy taste... it's delicious. I highly recommend getting the Bundtinis because they come by the dozen and that gives you the opportunity to try all of the flavors and determine which ones you like best. My personal favorite is the carrot cake it's sooo yummy. read more

I had a little sample of the red velvet, but after laying eyes on the Chocolate Chocolate Chip I just could not resist. I badly wanted to try the carrot and strawberry but I will save those for next visit. HOLY MOLY this thing was good. First of all, I'm not a cake person. Second of all, what even is a bundt cake? Bundt, that's a funny sounding word. But Nothing Bundt Cakes (love the pun) is awesome! I love the little bundtlet cakes so you can try a few of them. My favorite is the strawberry one with the fresh cream and strawberries on it. Yum! You can get varying sizes, you can get a tower of bundt. You have lots of choices. They even have gluten free ones for those who can't have gluten. They are all delicious and moist. Really cute place. Next to Ruth Chris' Steakhouse on Shallowford. Loved loved loved this place and this idea of bundts. The name of the place is very clever and the people are so friendly and helpful. Mom and I sampled a dozen different bundts. We loved them all! If I lived anywhere near this place I would definitely frequent it. We tried peanut butter, red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, strawberry and cream, chocolate raspberry, carrot cake, pecan, and lemon something. Definitely go out of your way to have a bundt! read more

I heard about this place from a coworker whose son works there. I am gluten intolerant, so I wasn't expecting anything for me, but we stopped for my husband. They actually have a GF chocolate chip cake and it is amazing!! A lot of GF cakes are dry and crumbly, but this was incredibly moist. And the icing on top is ... the icing on the cake! ;-). A whole bundtlet is a bit too much for me, so I ate half and am saving the other for later. The store itself is very quaint and nicely decorated. Right after we stepped up to the cashier, a bunch of other people came in. There's not a whole lot of room in the storefront, but you can get out quickly. The cashier we had was very personable and knowledgeable. We plan to go back! read more

The cutest little cakes from the cutest little bakery! I'm a sucker for a good pun. It smells like heaven and the bundt cakes are extremely fluffy and light. I would tell you my favorite, but every single one I have gotten has been delicious! It feels very obvious that the employees are excited about their product. They have a few different sizes, anywhere from bite size to 10" tiered masterpieces. This would be a darling idea for a bridal or baby shower, or a just because cake. read more

Very disappointed with the poor service and attitude towards a paying customer. Visited this location late in the afternoon to make a purchase. The store had no other customers present and my wife was not wearing a mask due to health reasons and was told that they would not serve her. We left the store angry that they would turn away a customer when clearly they were not selling much as the case was full and they were closing soon. The workers were shielded by large plexiglass walls and no one was in any danger. We have purchased from this store many times before but will NEVER return!! As businesses fail all over the country it is baffling that they would refuse a sale. I can purchase my non essential items elsewhere if they don't appreciate my business. I doubt they even care! read more

This place has some of the best cupcakes! This was the second time I've tried there cupcakes and their amazing. They have several different flavors and there isn't a flavor I don't like. Wonderful atmosphere and no judging buying sweet Bundt's. As a heavy set individual I always look at reactions of employees and they were most accommodating. I picked up and 8 inch red velvet cake and a couple of bundetts red velvet and chocolate. The cakes are moist and cannot describe the amazing icing texture as it is rich and thick. The chocolate and the red velvet cake both have chocolate chunks which adds nicely to the cake. The cake is perfect texture and consistency as not too dry nor so moist that it falls apart. read more

Established in 1997.

To find the perfect recipe, you first need the perfect ingredients. And that's what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other. In 1997, they joined forces, or better yet kitchens, to help make cakes to entertain their friends. The cakes they made were delicious, unlike anything anyone had tasted. As a result, their friends and family asked them to entertain more and more. They quickly realized this side project of theirs could be something more. There was a gap in the world for delicious cakes, readily available, that didn't compromise on their ingredients. Fresh eggs, real butter, and real cream cheese; nothing was too good to achieve perfection. And perfection are those decadent, slowly melting bites, we all know and love. Flash forward and the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand has grown nationwide. Built on Dena and Debbie's vision, each bakery still has the warmth and nostalgia of its home-kitchen roots, but they also take a modern approach for the world today.

It tasted like it had a bit of curry or something to add some jazz and it was refreshing and delicious. The pickle was also noteworthy. I purchased a toffee snack and biscotti for later and both were also good. Service at the register was super friendly and I enjoyed my quick lunch here people-watching. It's a popular spot. Theme of Rembrandt is with images throughout, even in the bathroom.

This class is very good for people who are pretty new at decorating cakes, is a VERY basic and short course that will get you started! In my case helped me tremendously because they introduced so many new tools to me and taught me techniques on how to use them. So yes I would totally reccomend this class! I will be taking course 2 and 3 so I can learn even more! They also sell a lot of baking supplies that are priced very reasonable and they have a lot of different options, for example they have several kinds of food coloring and flavors, candy melts, cookie cutters for every occasion, cake boards, pans and boxes every size you can imagine. The sugar shoppe also has a stand at the farmer's market at the first Tennessee pavilion and we really like their cake slices, my mom and my husband enjoy them very much because the textures and flavors they offer. They are large portions for $5 each slice. They are very delicious! I haven't ordered a cake from them, but since I was able to be in their kitchen for the classes I was able to see their cake schedule and they had a very clean and organized kitchen, they prepare ahead the buttercream which is their own recipe ans it's perfect texture to decorate and pipe any designs. I would definitely order a cake from them, they are very nice, I saw them interact with customers who were placing custome orders, they ask a lot of questions to make sure they deliver the cake you want.

I am vegetarian, and get the veggie burger a majority of my visits, and it is TO DIE FOR in terms of flavor. I have been aching to get my hands on the recipe because it really is that good. On that note, it is difficult to eat at times because the patty comes apart, I would ask for a fork and I'm sure you will receive. We didn't know and went straight to outdoor seating, which worked out because we got a table and about a minute later we figured out the ordering process. I ordered the chicken salad croissant for my wife, then the California club for myself and then I had to order quiche Lorraine for the table. I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. Service was pretty quick, between our order placement and table delivery it was 7 minutes. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. The accompanying arugula and onion salad dresses with oil and vinegar and seasonings was an excellent pairing of freshness with the richer quiche. This is a big hit, as expected when advertised on the menu as "available until sold out." The California Club was on 6 grain toasted bread with an avocado spread and aioli, bacon, turkey, tomato and lettuce. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. The chicken salad had just a hint of lemon and was not overwhelmed with aioli, just the right balance. This was a fantastic meal. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I need one of these in Greenville, SC, my hometown. Last thing to note, you bus your own table and there is a dish basin nearby the outside dining area in which to place your dishes. This was an excellent lunch spot. The staff were also friendly and patiently helpful. This is a must visit spot when visiting or living in Chattanooga!

I think that there is something for everyone and the best part is how dog-friendly Oddstory is. I think it's a keeper for my occasional list, but not a go-to for me as a regular.
