My dad passed away in October. Today is his birthday so I ordered my mom and sister a cake to celebrate his memory. I paid the delivery fee. My mom wasn't going to be home during the delivery time so she left a bin with ice and a note to put them in there. I called to see if I could change the delivery time - they had no record of my order. After 15 min they finally found it. Then they said I have to call Uber or door dash - whoever I used to - to change it. I didn't use any of those I ordered off the website and paid them the delivery charge. After another 15 minutes they finally figured out that they arrange the delivery. By then it was already on its way. I messaged the delivery person 3 times to ask to put them please put the cakes in the bin so they don't melt - a note was also on the door to please put them in the bin. The delivery person would not message me back and refused to put them in the bin. A simple act of kindness was too much. On a day that I'm trying to do something nice for my mom and sister on my dad's first birthday since he died - they just completely ruined the sentiment. Great cakes - horrible employees. read more

The cakes are delicious, no question about it! If I could separate it from the full experience it would be 5 stars. I was disappointed that the store didn't display many decoration options like other stores I've been to in the past, but that's OK, no big deal. The issue here is the service. I went in yesterday and ordered a confetti cake. I was told it would take 10 minutes. Being the only one in the store with 4 employees, knowing these are all premade and sitting in a fridge in the back, I was confused. But ok. I asked if I could get a bow, which caused all manner of confusion and required new people being brought into the conversation. I then asked about additional decorations and was completely ignored. I asked for a Celebrate topper four times. I even explained what the celebration was about to help clear up any confusion. No response, no acknowledgement. No one was rude, I just got the feeling no one wanted to be there. And by the time I got my cake (and my bow only in a bag on the side) I had talked to all of them. This location will greet you happily if you look like the average Burleson customer . I am a white woman so I was greeted at the register with a smile. They completely ignored my friend when he walked in shortly after. Do better . This happened last year also but I wanted to give it another try because one bad experience can sometimes be just one bad employee. I would give zero stars if I could . Hubby and I ventured in one day to check out the goods. The store is adorable and decorated seasonally, of course. All of the staff immediately greeted each customer, with great eye contact and a sincere, welcoming smile. The cakes were presented professionally and beautifully in the completely fingerprint-free display cases. The prices are clearly marked, as are the serving sizes, saving the consumer from having to ask those silly questions. Each transaction is handled as if the cake being purchased was going to be eaten by the server's family. They are boxed gently, wrapped and placed into a bag (smaller cakes), all with the attention they deserve. I did meet the owners, Vanessa and Deric and found out I used to work with them when they were both in public service years ago. Now this flawless operation makes sense. Vanessa has always been exacting, diligent and professional and expects the same of her partner or co-workers. I can only imagine she would be an amazing boss, offering constructive criticism where warranted, lavishing praise on those amazing employees and pitching in with the grunt work when it was crunch time. Okay, mess up my order once, that is forgivable ..but Messing up my order three times on three different occasions?!?! Urgh! Not cool. This is the worst location of all the locations I have been to. The workers are either not trained properly or their stuff is just very very unorganized here. And they never seem to answer their phone at any given time. I placed an order online at 10am to be picked up at 4pm same day. A simple dozen bundtinis. Paid online and got the confirmation email for time and location of when and where to pick up my order. I get to the store at 3:45pm, anticipating there might be a line and I did not want to be late for my brother's birthday dinner. I show up, sure enough there was a line. No big deal.. I patiently wait in line. 4pm rolls around I finally get to the front of the line. I give the cashier my name. She goes to the back and comes back and asks for my name AGAIN, as if I am lying about me placing my order (wtf!) Then she asks me to step aside while another worker checks on my order so she can move on to the next customer (seriously ?! Rude...like I felt like I was just shoved to the side). Then 4:10pm..the other worker comes to me from the back and she asks me for the name AGAIN and then my phone number and proceeds to ask me questions like " did you place your order for this location? For today?".... and then I pull up my email confirmation to show her that I am at the right location and the time to be picked up was same day at 4pm! She goes back to the back to " check again." She then comes back out and says "I dont have your order..." and by then I'm getting irritated because now I'm not only late to my brother's birthday.. I also do not have my order. And I proceed to show the worker my confirmation email AGAIN (because she is still acting as if I am lying...) and I say again " how do you not have my order? I placed it online and I got the confirmation with all of the right information on it. I even tried calling you after I placed it online, and no one would answer the phone." The worker looks at me and says " let me check one more time..." when she came back out she said to me "i am so sorry! I did see your order come in earlier... i just forgot to put it in!" What the actual fuck. Then she continued to say "what is it that you ordered?" (So she can put it together really quick) of course the flavors I wanted for my dozen were not "ready" and would take another 20 minutes. I was furious by that point like are you kidding me. No I'm not waiting. I settled for something else that was ready so I could be on my way because I was already so late.... I didnt leave the store til 430! Another incident, I went straight to the store to pick up 3 bundlets. Told the worker I wanted two pumpkins and one chocolate...of course they package it all up for you.. I get home only to find she gave me 2 chocolates and 1 pumpkin spice... Sorry... but I would much rather drive 30 minutes to the next location rather than go to here even though its 10 minutes from where I live.. but with all of the mix ups I keep having here, it's not worth it... read more

Very pleased with NBC in Burleson!! I live in California but my dad lives in Burleson & works at Texas Huguley Hospital there. It was his birthday & I wanted to send him a cake. I found out from the Arlington store that the Burleson one was about to open & that they might be able to deliver the cake for me. I contacted the owners through email and they were totally okay with taking an order over email and delivering the cake to the hospital to him. It made my dad's day to come into his office that morning and see a beautifully decorated Lemon Bundt cake with the Happy Bundt'day decor on it! I didn't get to try the cake myself but everyone that did eat it, told me the cake was very flavorful and moist and stayed that way, even after 3 days when they ate it again. I am both happy and sad that NBC is in Burleson. Happy that it's so close to home, but sad because my wallet is going to be lighter and my waistline is going to grow! The location is in a great spot, and is true to the other metroplex locations in terms of decor and taste of products which I'm sure is a must of the franchise. There is really nothing else to say, NBC is delicious, albeit a bit pricey, but so worth it! I absolutely love nothing Bundt cake but not really impressed with this store. Went in on a Friday afternoon. There was one person in front of me and I waited about seven minutes only to find out they did not have any gluten-free bundlets. I've only come into this store four times and two of those times they were out of gluten-free. I've never had that Problem in any other store, especially the one on can't buoy that I frequent often. Only one person was working the front of the store and about five people were in line behind me. Although she was very polite, She never asked for anyone to come out and help her. I love NBC and am so happy a store opened in Burleson. Great location next to Target with plenty of easy access parking. I went in today and bought 2 dozen bundtinis (mini cupcake size bunt cakes) and an 8 inch bundt for a baby shower. The store was super cute with lots of little items like cups and tea towels you could grab as a last minute gift. The two girls working were very patient with my mother and I as we decided on our order. Also while there I tried a sample of praline bundt, soo moist and the cream cheese frosting is hands down the best! I will post pictures after the baby shower. read more

I'd always wanted to try NBC but never had the chance to make the long drive for one, until they opened this one in Burleson. Because I bake a lot, I really didn't expect the cakes to taste much better than local grocery bakeries, but I was very surprised. I've already been in several more times, both for myself and for gifts for teachers and friends. I order Bundt Cakes all over DFW I stopped in this place and the staff was friendly but they brought me 5 dozen Bundt cakes in boxes to carry out the door without a bag. They told me they don't have bags big enough for the boxes. I order all over DFW so I know that was not true. All the places I order from have bags that will for the boxes I believe this location is just too cheap to buy them for customers. Luckily I buy Bundt cakes often so I had a spare bag in my car which I packed them up myself and carried them to my car. We opened the Bundt cakes boxes about an hour later and noticed there was hardly any icing on them, that was very disappointing this again led me to believe this location is cheap. I tried a Bundt cake about an hour later and noticed it didn't taste as good as the other locations I use every week. If you have to order I would skip this locations and drive a little further for better tasting Bundt cakes, stores that give you a good amount of icing and aren't cheap with the icing or bags. Again how can you have a store with no bags for your customers? Anyway the Fort Worth location has great tasting Bundt cakes, they are super fast and great, both Arlington locations are also good.
