I know some people may like this store, but unfortunately my experience at Not Too Naughty wasn't great. I decided to give it a chance, even though I usually shop at Good Vibrations with my partner and have had much better service there. I spent about $300 here, and I expected at least some guidance on product selection, but no one really tried to help match items to what we were looking for. The devices we purchased were extremely loud -- much louder than expected -- to the point where they could easily be heard from another room. That made them unusable for us. I should have trusted my initial instincts before buying. We went back the next day to ask about returns. I understand and accept the no-return policy -- that part is fine -- but when I tried to speak with the person who originally helped me, the assistant I spoke with was dismissive and rude, which made the experience worse. Overall, between the lack of helpful service and the product disappointment, I wouldn't shop here again. read more

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful in finding the right product. Selection is good, the story is well organized and very clean.

When I walked in I was greeted with a smile which was nice! Wife and I are heading out on a vacation so I was looking for something for her. The young lady at the counter was very helpful and even went to the back to check to see if they had more of what I was looking for and sure enough she found what I was looking for. The only down fall I see about this place is all sales are final which is understandable but damn what are ya gonna do!? So the value of what I purchased is pretty good the value of flicks they have is really outdated maybe they can step their game up on the movies but sincerely thank you to the lady behind the counter!! Well like everyone else who pulls up to a shop like this, you look around as you walk closer to the door feeling guilty as ever. ha ha As soon as you walk in the gentleman greets you asks if you need any help. He is indeed helpful, gives out as many suggestions to meet your needs. Also, from the 2 times i have came here, he always makes sure the product you are purchasing works. He does the battery test. As embarrassing and awkward it is to look around, search, reading the products & asking questions. Just remember the rest of the shoppers are feelings the same way. Making no eye contact. I simply placed a call to make sure they had an item in store. Just to be spoken to rudely. "No we don't" Me "Okay, Thank you" other person hung up on me. I went here at night, under the cover of darkness so no one would see me entering. Scurrying up the side walk, avoiding all lights, I pulled my jacket collar high around my neck to conceal my identity. A black cat ran across the street and somewhere in the distance there was a siren wailing. When I arrived at the door I knocked the "secret knock" and the man from inside peered out into the dark before unlocking the door to let me in. Ok it wasn't quite like that but I did go at night and the door was locked but the sign said opened so I knocked and a man did look out and saw I was "normal" and he did let me in. The store is well-lit and clean. Some toys, lots of movies and a good selection of magazines. Mainly hetro with the required girl on girl stuff from what I noticed. It seems like the folks behind the counter are married. They were helpful and acted like they didn't notice that I was avoiding eye contact when I asked if the latest Playboy had come in. (Dita is featured, you know I had to grab that- it's not just ANY skank posing) They didn't have it. He said he thought that would be in January's issue and suggested that I should come back then. The owner one night had to chase a shoplifter out the store...hilarious! The employees were nice as we were looking for gag gifts and toys and very helpful when i wanted to try something on one of the employees let me use the employee restroom area because they have no changing rooms and thought at least the employee restroom would be better...and for that i thank him! ... and even though i had to walk through the back room to get it he made sure i was ok and no one followed me in! bad thing is running into customers from my own work there but hey what do you expect! ps: they battery test all products before you leave the store...which is also a good thing... read more

How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. I recently went to look for a bachelorette gift. First off all, the packaging on everything is beat up, scratched, dented or just looks dirty. Not to mention the price, over priced for crap. Might as well order off ebay n risk it. Second of all, the customer service is horrendous. The girl who works in there is obviously bitter. IT'S NOT WHAT YOU, IT'S HOW YOU SAY IT!!!!! She talks to people as if you're trying to steal. U can't treat everyone like that if you want their business. I have gone to this store a total of 6 times 1 to purchase for my coworkers bridal shower another for a bday and then one more for a baby shower yes as it was a 16 yr gap between one baby to another so the gift was enjoy before the baby comes kinda gift hahah so this 5 th time I go for myself I decide to splurge I had bought a magic massager at a Berkeley store years back and really loved it but the charger was lost so I splurge and got another one and bought a lot of other items you know to go along with it and a few for my honey well the young lady was awesome she wanted to make sure it works she plugged it in and it did well I brought it home and charged it I know when you first charge something it takes several hours well after I charged it and then unplugged it it didn't work but I plug it again and it's works great so I decide to use my old one to see if it works remember nothing wrong with it just lost my charger. charged it and only an hour unplugged it works great like I remember. so i tried it again with the new one charged it longer again same results not working but when plugged it works fine I am like wtf so I do have a job i work alot odd hours plus I just bought it I remember I kept the receipt in the box. a week after purchasing it I go back to the store I saw right away it's not the same lady. I waited in line where about 4 ladies in front not sure maybe 3 they where together 1 person purchasing and they where all giggly must be there first time and so she said you purchased something over 50 you get a new panty. Nice I think I purchased over a 100 and i got nothing but whatever that's nice I am not like that but it would of will be nice to get something free. whenit was my turn I explained my situation the first thing she says is we don't carry that box here I am like really it's right behind you then she says we don't carry that brand again I said really it's right behind you why don't you ring it up and see that I purchased it not to long ago and she did she kinda frowned and said well where is your receipt I said I don't want a return I want to exchange it for one that works and then she said well before you left we check if it works I said listen lady I just told you it works great when it's plugged in and when you unplug it it doesn't work she then said oh then it's one of those you got to keep plugged in and then she reads the box says rechargeable then she says next I am just the assist store manager I can not do anything you will need to come back tomorrow morning when the manager is here I said what after all that your just the assistant store manger really I said I will never buy anything here again and I won't and I walked out feeling so mad about the whole situation what happened to the customer is always right I didn't want a refund an exchange i wanted something I bought to work so a week later my back and head is hurting I have a few massagers and they don't work great I still have the new magic massager in the trunk of my car but I realized my old one was just recently charge. I turned around to use it and it works like magic no charger attached and as I use it I write this story out. Next time I will just drive to Berkeley it is always worth it as I enjoy my old and trusty magic massager. Never going back to this place all my experience was great till that one encounter with the assistant store manager awful service!!!!!! read more

This place is about what to be expected. I'm not shy so it wasn't awkward. It's right up the street from the farmers market so I wouldn't consider it a bad area. The bad part came trying to redeem a Yelp deal. I found everything I needed for bridal shower gifts plus a couple extras for me pretty easily within 15 mins I was done shopping. It then took me 45 MINUTES to check out. The clerk had no idea how to redeem their deal, called her manager - who didn't answer. She was apologetic but seriously 45 minutes? People were waiting behind me all upset but I was in a rush - my fault for buying gifts last minute- so I wasn't moving. Eventually I paid what we concluded was accurate and she took down my personal info in case of whatever... In short products were reasonable for the small shop it is, you can find the basics here but customer service can use some work! read more
