This was a 1.5 hour travel and when there was an accident and traffic jam it turned in to a nerve racking experience. However, from West London, I avoid getting on to the tube, carrying my luggage for miles and paying for a tube and expensive Stansted express ticket. All perceptions I threw over board when using the Standsted Express, which leaves from Liverpool. This train leaves as frequently as every 15 minutes, but please note, as fast and convenient the train is, the journey time takes 46 minutes. Please remember two point: Ticket: If possible, purchase your ticket in advance online but do not pick it up last minute. I almost missed my flight while queuing for 30 minutes to pick up my ordered tickets at the train station!!! (Fridays are the worst by the way.) Nowadays I purchase my ticket a couple of days before hand online, as I get £2 discount and pick it up when passing Liverpool street station in advance. An other word of warning - even Stansted Express can be delayed due to mechanical failure. Once me and more then 300 people were made to get out of the train and alternative transports such as taxis and buses were organised. Leave yourself enough travel time...

I have had a terrible experience with them. I tried buying a bus pass online. The transaction went…read morethrough, but upon asking them they denied. When I rasied an issue with Paypal, they blocked my account stating they're doing so because i raised dispute for my transaction. After repeated requests to talk to superior, they have just taken a decision to block my account whereas they are the ones who didn't provide me service in the first place and got offended when a dispute was raised because they blatantly denied refunding the amount and unblocking my account. Twice they deducted money and didn't give the bus pass. Classic case of racial profiling.

The fares are an absolute joke compared to TFL....so much for leveling up or bus back better. However will people have confidence to rely on public transport and give up the car... Never... The workers are quite friendly and I was greeted many times despite such a small space/ It's the closest thing to my friends in Norfolk from London so I took the trek from St Pancras through Cambridge here. The only drawback is the quirky characters out front, reminiscent of the riff raff of the US 7 Eleven patrons (yes that's a specific inside baseball type reference). There's also a pub across the street if you have a wait as told to me by many of the cab drivers....quaint place and my gateway to Norfolk

It's a fabulous journey back into the past made all the more enjoyable as virtually all the staff on the trains and stations are volunteers who have a real passion for the days of steam. Throughout the year there are a number of 'specials' where people may travel whilst wearing period clothing, or have a day out with Thomas the Tank engine or go on the Santa Special which make the trips more memorable than the usual weekday trip that I had experienced. The only criticism I had really was the cost, which for one adult was £9.50 and a family ticket comprising of 2 adults and 2 children was £29, which I imagine might make some families think twice about doing the journey.

You can reach the station in Holt by horse drawn cart or by car (plenty of parking) and choose either steam or diesel trains depending on the time of day or day of the week. The carriages are clean and spacious reminding you of the olden days and great for kids to see how different life was. There are great views all along the line to Sheringham including Cley Windmill, the steep golf course and of course the sea !

It take approximately 1hr 45 to reach London Liverpool Street. The station has a waiting room on each platform which are open from 05:45-20:00 Monday-Saturday with a later opening time on Sunday, There are self service ticket machines located by the bike shed on platform 1 and by the waiting room on platform 2. The second is covered so best used in poor weather. To cross the platforms customers must take the foot bridge over or in special circumstances such as the eldery or disabled my be escorted over a barrow crossing which exits in to the NCP managed car park.

When I confronted the driver and asked him if he was my driver, he looked me dead in the eyes and said "no, he wasn't my driver" and picked up 2 random men in the car park. When I called the owner to complain, he said he would investigate the matter, and call me back, but he never did, instead he lied to Norwich City Council who actually believe him, he must have fiddled with their online dispatch system and sent Norwich City Council an edited version of their drivers route. Norwich City Council actually told me that the owner said that I was never at Norwich train station when I said I was and that the taxi that was sent for me was actually for the 2 random men in the car park. If that's the case, then why were the men asking "where do we get a taxi from?" Coz when I had received the text message from BESTWAY TAXIS to say my driver had arrived, I ran to the car and the licence plate and the make and model of the car was the exact same in the text message, so how could it be for the 2 random men in the car park? If that's the case, then why did they dispatch a 2nd driver to pick me up? I'm currently going through intensive chemotherapy as I have stage IV cancer, and the owner knows this yet insists on lying about me and putting me through this whole ordeal. Please do not use this taxi service, you are better off using a different company from a decent human being, not a scumbag like this owner! Stay well away! You have been warned!

The is a large car park managed by NCP which is quite considerable in size with parking meters that accept cash or card payment. Facility wise there is a small wine bar open in the evenings and a small cafe/newsagents. The paper shop can be found on platform 2 which is just through the booking hall. Outside of opening hours tickets can be purchased from self service ticket machines both of which are located under cover in the event of bad weather. Wheelchair access is available to each platform. There are level crossing barriers which drop when services approach blocking traffic and pedestrians from passing.

One of the worst stations to get stranded in ever!…read more Despite the very pretty city of Ely itself, the station is situated on a rather bleak patch of ground across several very busy traffic lanes, and the bus services to anywhere else are (in my unfortunate experience) sparse and badly signed. On finding myself at Ely station I couldn't make head nor tail of the bus timetable and sat waiting for a bus that didn't arrive for the best part of an hour. (When I jumped on the first bus that came along in sheer desparation, the driver was as helpful as could be, I should add). That being said, it probably isn't the fault of the station itself, per se. Although it's location feels really 'out in the sticks' despite the fact that's it's perfectly possibly to walk into town from there. It just needs better links, and better information outlets. If I'd landed there are night it would not have been fun!
