Catherine stated they had none in stock (even Bric's website listed them on back order). However, she provided me with "knock your socks off" customer service; did a store search, found some, AND sent me the link to order. This was Monday. I had a complicated repair job…read more My $6,000 John Suttner concertina case was broken because the lesser quality hinges had entirely snapped off, and were barely useable. In fact, my concertina fell out of it's case, on a snowy day, and onto the pavement. By the grace of God, the instrument was not seriously harmed beyond a nasty scratch. I was sure that Altman's was going to use plastic or something etc. I spoke to them concerning my trepidation. They said that I would be very happy with the result once complete. Considering that I paid less than I expected, I was very pleased with their work. They had to remove the lining and put it back etc. They ordered the best quality well-made hinges with stops that allow you to leave the top of the case open, now and then, without the hinges simply snapping over time. Note: It is still better to lean the top of the case against a surface etc, Prior to this the case had to be leaned against surface area all the time or the hinges would snap over time pretty quicky.
