***Minus ZERO stars***
After speaking with a Plan Examiner and getting my plan approval over the phone/email I was asked to go in to provide my plans to obtain my permit.
I walked in about 3:15 pm, signed the clip board, spoke to a front counter lady letting her know I already had spoke to Plan Examiner earlier and was also aware she had left early but said someone would be able to help with permit issuance. I was then asked to wait outside, about 40 min after Stephanie walks up and asked what am I there for, I then repeat myself as I already did with the other front counter lady, this time I show Stephanie the Plan Examiner's approval email from earlier, Stephanie then says, ok I'll let Robert know. Since I was the ONLY person waiting outside at this time about 30 additional mins, I decided to walk back inside, I observed Stephanie, Robert, and Norma not assisting anyone just chit chatting then this contractor walked in and signed the clip board and Norma calls him by name and tells him to come to her to help him. Robert seen exactly what just happened but he doesn't bother and continues to pretend to be busy with Stephanie. Finally, the contractor leaves and Norma asked what I'm there for, I, AGAIN (3rd time) explained, that I had already spoke to Plan Examiner and got my plan approval over the phone/email and was told someone else would be able to help when I go in to provide my plans to obtain my permit. I also showed Norma the approval email, Norma and Robert then tell me that I have to wait for the Plan Examiner on Monday. By this time is about 4:55 PM!!
How come I wasn't told I needed to wait till Monday when I first walked in about 3:15pm!!?? My time is valuable AND I left work to go in and WASTED my valuable time!
These City employees take their jobs for granted!
Stephanie, Robert, and Norma need to keep in mind that WE are taxpayers and because of US taxpayers they are employed. And WE TAXPAYERS are NOT there to ask or obtain ANYTHING for FREE!!
DO NOT TAKE YOUR JOB FOR GRANTED, TAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE COURSE 101, or allow someone else that has customer service skills to assist taxpayers at the front counter! read more
