The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. Like really rude…read more I bought a 750ml bottle of Crown Royal vanilla and it had a price of $50 + Normally its 25 to 30 bucks. If you're able to go across the river, you can get whatever you need at the liquor store in Easton. Its maybe a mile away. The employees there are friendly and the prices are better as well.

A really TERRIBLE place. PLEASE AVOID. Have gone here over the past 10 years as an Easton resident…read morefor a bottle of wine when other places are closed. In truth, was always a kind of creepy, dark, wonder- what- this- is -kind -of -establishment - with only a single employee and a very high turnover. This past weekend, after calling repeatedly - (4 times) to ask if they were still open (its the kind of place you imagine will be shut down at any time) and no one answering, I made the mistake of taking a chance and walking over there. At the counter, with no one there, I dialed the phone # again - curious. The only employee, finally came over and I asked if they were still open. She clicked her nails on the counter and gave me "a look". I explained, that I had called repeatedly and no one answered - wondering if store was open. She only glared at me and then, refused to serve me, calling me rude. I have never had anyone call me rude, ever. I am a working class person, always respectful of others, regardless of race, gender, etc. When I asked if she could please, accept my apology and allow me to purchase this bottle of wine, as it was for a friend's birthday at my apartment (friends were actually waiting for me} she became even more absurd and nasty. Cleary not a stable person - my main point here. Please avoid. Worst shopping experience I have ever had!

After a long awaited visit to Weyerbacher, I think I have a new favorite PA Brewery…read more Good to know, especially if you're driving - you'll be hard pressed to find a low ABV beer at Weyerbacher. Drink responsibly. Thankfully, they offer different sizes, from tasters to pints. Great to know, especially if you love good beer - Weyerbacher has a varied selection and they're all superior. I've been chasing good Belgian beer since my trip to Belgium two years ago, but nothing stateside has ever compared. Weyerbacher is, arguably, some of the best beer in PA, if not the entire country. Yep - I said it. Their brewery location is huge, with indoor and outdoor seating. Food is BYO, and there was an onsite food truck the day we visited. On the Saturday afternoon we visited, there was a man with a guitar who was very pleasant to listen to. I'm not one for loud music, but I found his playlist and musicality added to the experience. The bartender was super kind and personable, and there is plentiful parking onsite. The space is accessible, and there is merch, beer to go, and other fun things for sale - besides the rotating 20 or so beers on tap. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Weyerbacher.

Outdoor seating area would've been nice if it wasn't for the fact that the food truck compressor was running maybe 20 feet away making an abysmal noise so we sat inside. There was plenty of parking.

Why the sour reviews? They all reflect some kind of ambivalent emotional response- vindictive even…read more We have been coming here since they opened, and frequented his prior establishment at the Silk Mill. Nowt a bad experience. The menu is appropriate to the wine. This is a Wine Bar- that is the focus. Jason, the proprietor knows his trade very well, and is not bashful to discuss it, his passion for it, and his history in said trade. Said passion runs thoroughly deep, and his wealth of knowledge may even supersede this. The monthly Wine Dinners showcase his unending search for lesser known, and often hard to find wines within the contiguous United States- Jason being an ex-pat Aussie. I've come to expect a bit of a story and charade with each dinner- and experience. I like that the sampled wines are all generally for sale. The food is usually paired very well, and executed as such. There do seem to be a regularly rotating staff, but that's irrelevant to the experiences. It's his show. Sometimes the portions can be a bit too large at the dinners, and that says a lot for the price- very fair. As for the restaurant proper, the portions are fine. His curated charcuterie board is spectacular, and local. The Bavarian aspect is appreciated quite well. I miss Zum Stammtisch in NY- now, that does not mean this is a German Restaurant, but there are enough influences and pop-up fare that ist es wunderbar! His schnitzels are always thin as paper, crispy as seashells, and delightfully tasty. We always have the German Fare when it's available, as it so often it. For a state populated by/with so many Germans, this is THE ONLY good true German food around. The overall decor is a bit dim (lighting) and old world European- this is not negative- I prefer this to modern settings. There is a 'secret' Narnia room which is reserved for parties of 12 or more. I quite like the concept- though have not used it- had the tour. Again, the wine list is incredibly extensive, and you can always find what you want. Ask. Then, visit the curated wine shop next door! Truly one of a kind. That's another review. Book the specialty dinners weeks in advance as they generally sell out, but pop on a standard night, as there are usually a few tables open. Sit at the bar and chat with the staff about the wines- it's an adventure.

Very quaint spot located in Easton. We stopped in on a Sunday evening about an hour before closing,…read moreand the restaurant was fairly quiet. Camille, our server, was excellent. While the food wasn't personally my favorite, a few dishes stood out--especially the Roman-style grilled artichoke, which had the perfect crispness, along with the lobster ravioli and the German apple cake, which was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. The flavors overall leaned earthy, which may just not be my personal preference, as my parents love this place and are regulars. I would definitely come back for wine and appetizers. The restaurant offers authentic German cuisine and is truly unique, with nothing else quite like it in the Lehigh Valley.
