So unfortunately, we didn't eat there because I wanna be fair and give a proper review on the food…read moresince it is a restaurant. But we didn't make it to the food. We didn't make it past trying the beers. We knew the place had reopened under new ownership and wanted to give it a shot. We walked in and were seated promptly. Right away I noticed there were crumbs all over the floor. That's a major red flag, not a good first impression. Decided to try some beers. We placed an order with the waitress for three tasters. She informed us one of them was brand new, and all of their other beers were from the original owners. A minute later, another waitress came over and says that our server can't service alcohol because she's not of age and to give her the order. When I said one of them was one of the new beers she had no idea what I was talking about. Strange. What is most strange is that why is a server working at a brewery who can't serve alcohol? That's a new one for me. Let's just say the beers were awful. They were flat, tasteless and not entirely up the temp. We got up and walked out and went to the Trolley Barn across the street.

She spilled the info table-side. And most importantly the chef is one of the best ever. We've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the area and only one comes to mind and they no longer exist. So this place is up there. We're blessed to have a lot of awesome restaurants in our area within easy driving distance. This particular restaurant stands out even among all the great places nearby. 5 plus stars. One note however, the chairs are comfortable enough but, they are subtly designed to keep people moving to keep business moving. It's not bad for an hour and a half but, around this time you may start noticing what I am saying. Bring a cushion if you're planning on a long stay. And since I gave you such an accurate detailed information filled review I would ask that you do me a favor and check out my original music here, www.n1m.com/frankporter

It's a Wednesday night and folks are nestled around the tightly knit bar like everyone is family. I'm the outsider from Allentown just passing through but the hostess and servers treat everyone all the same. This quaint restaurant has cloth table settings with ice water, awaiting your arrival. While the view is the main highway that runs through this sleepy town, it offers a bit of nostalgia from a day gone by. I've been here several times and I'm finally getting around to posting my review. I've always enjoyed my time here at Limeport even if every visit had some flaw. This time my drink glass had lipstick all over it, which the server thought was hilarious as well as embarrassing. I agree. The Smashburger is not a Smashburger at all. It's a decently flavored frozen puck that's been transformed into what ended up being a decent burger. You see, they know sauces well here as they're famous for all of their house made dressings and add-ons. The fries are homemade and come straight from the potato, but the oil is clearly old and the fries unfortunately were over overcooked. Well, this visit wasn't my favorite visit. I've really enjoyed my meals in the past. I will be back several times as I come through the town, but I'm not sure that it would be a destination restaurant for me. For those that live local, you're very blessed to have a solid restaurant available to you with filet mignon scallops and wonderful, house-made salads at your fingertips. Cheers!

A delightfully strange combination of craft beer bar, liquor store and dog food supply store, Free…read moreBridge consistently has one of the best craft beer selections in the Lehigh Valley. To-go prices are great, along with $5 growler night (!) on Thursdays. Chill atmosphere is supplemented with the occaional mountain dog or three relaxing on the couches or under the pool table. One of my favorite craft beer destinations in the area. I just read some of the comments on here about the birthday challenge, and I just want to make some things clear: The birthday challenge is for regulars, and it's about 7 pints in a large Chimay glass, which is free if the person finishes it. It's 100% voluntary (I've never done it), usually needs to be asked for, and you're not allowed to do it unless you have a DD or taxi. I've seen a bunch of them done, never once under any pressure from bartenders or owner (makes sense, since it involves them giving away a TON of high-priced beer for free). The owner is a lovely woman who doesn't drink hard alcohol, so I have no idea who the 19-year-old party girl described was, but I've never seen anyone like that working there. I'm a regular, and I've literally never seen anything like what that person described. My advice: Don't drink 7 pints of beer anywhere if you don't want to get drunk. But if you're one of those people who want to drink a ton of beer on your birthday, the ones you'll get at FreeBridge will at least be excellent craft brews. Side note: If you're at all into craft spirits or meads, you won't find a better selection in the region. They have a full line of a more artisanal beverages than anyone could want.
