Dr. LeClaire is very thorough with her exam and spends so much time with contact lens fitting. Every time I go in for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting, she looks for what's best for me. She usually sends me home with trial lenses with a new prescription to try out for a couple of weeks. A couple of years ago, I tried out three different prescriptions until I found what works best for me. She had me back for quick follow-up appointments to make sure of proper fitting each time, and there was no charge for them. It really shows how much she cares about her patients. The staff in the office are very helpful and very pleasant. They always checks my insurance benefits, and there's never been a surprise. When I picked up my glasses, asked again if I owed anything more - again 'no'. A month later, I'm told 'you have an outstanding balance of $128 - When I asked why, the response literally was 'I don't know, you just have a balance.' Now it turns out that the amount my insurance covered was 'less than we assumed.' None of that was ever explained throughout the process, until after I got my past due notice. Fact is, the cost is now as much as it would be for new frame and lenses anywhere else - Had I known that, I wouldn't have agreed to the transaction. Add to that the whole 'insurance paid less than we thought' thing - I've bough many a pair of glasses under the same insurance I have no - Never had an outfit pull that one on my before. When I complained, the office manager paid lip service to waiving the $128, but literally when I got home, my wife said she'd paid the bill - When I emailed that fact to the store, twice, I received zero response or acknowledgment, and still have not a few weeks later. Me burned is a lesson learned - NEVER again will I do business here, and I'll make a point of letting anyone and everyone know that when the subject comes up.

My fiancee made this appointment two months ago after her PCP sent a referral over. She has a…read morepretty serious eye condition and needs to see a specialist so she doesn't go blind and her current eye doc is out of his range of expertise. They cancelled on her less then 24 hours before her appointment because they don't take her insurance, which means they didn't bother to confirm her insurance before they accepted the referral. Not to mention she called them a few weeks ago to confirm everything was in the clear before her appointment (she had some insurance difficulties) and they told her she was all good.

My my vision right away was not good so I had to retake the round of drops. The second round improved my vision but I needed to have the bottom tear duct plugged. Best vision that I could have hoped for. The doctor wanted me in for a 6 month follow up which I went to. But, now the bills start rolling in with explanations that we are outside the "global" time of 90 days. When I asked on the pricing up front the response was that it included any follow up treatment and care. I guess that they are as good as their word.
