My optometrist recommended Dr. Amador Subong after determining I had macular pucker. Dr. Amador was…read moreefficient and matter-of-fact, explaining to me what needed to be done and my odds of success. I agreed to surgery. I was scared (for no reason, it turns out) but that fear turned to surprise after my almost-fun experience at the surgery center. No pain, fast recovery and, after major improvement to my vision the very next day, it continues to improve. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend.

My dad suffered a massive vitreous hemorrhage and completely lost his vision while on vacation. We…read morescheduled an emergency appointment with Subong who didn't even review the medical report from the emergency room where he was initially seen and acted flippant and completely uninterested during the appointment. He concluded the visit by saying he wanted to see him in 3 months because "he was lazy" which delighted his assistant who began laughing while my mom and I were on the verge of tears in the room. Keep in mind that my dad was still completely blind. He offered no reassurance, next steps, or advice. Just shuffled out of the office saying he was going to be on vacation for the next few weeks. We went to another retina specialist who recommended an emergency vitrectomy which was successfully completed this week. My dad has now regained vision in his affected eye. The doctors here care more about going on climbing adventures and getting as many patients through the door to pad their pockets than they do about providing actual compassion and healthcare. The most unprofessional, uncaring doctor and practice we've ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with.

I would give him NO Star if I could. I'm not one to leave a bad review unless something truly…read moreterrible occurs. With that being said, Dr. Kim was my fathers Doctor, my father has glaucoma in both eyes and cataracts in one eye. Dr. Kim's was very insistent about my dad getting cataract surgery, so his office scheduled my dad for the surgery, I flew home and took off work to take care of my dad. We showed up the day of the surgery 30 minutes early where we were informed that my father's surgery was canceled to our shock and dismay. I called Dr. Kim's office for an explanation for the unceremonious cancellation, the gentleman I spoke with said the surgery had been cancelled due to the fact that my father was last seen by Mr. Kim in early December and that was too many months between the surgery(which was in mid March) and the last office visit. I asked why my dad was not informed of this when they scheduled his surgery and why we never received a phone call nor a voicemail telling us the surgery was canceled, the man told me that someone from Dr. Kim's office had called my dad that day. We NEVER received that voicemail and did not have any missed call from Dr. Kim's office. Regardless if Dr. Kim's office called us on the surgery day (which they did not) that is unacceptable. Both the man I spoke with and the office manager admitted this scheduling error was their fault and should have been caught much earlier. To make matters worse, when I finally talked to Dr. Kim the next day he admitted to me he didn't look at my dads chart until 11 pm the night before him surgery. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The next day after the supposed surgery day, Dr. Kim examined my dad and he concluded that he doesn't think my dad needs cataract surgery after all. WHAT!!!!! How do you go from needing cataract surgery to not needing the surgery. HUGE RED FLAG Dr. Kim was not apologetic at all, he acted like it was not a big deal to cancel a surgery last minute. I explain to him that I had to take time off work and fly here for the surgery to take care of my dad, but he couldn't have cared less. I explained that due to his and his office error it costed me almost $1,000 in travel and lost wages. I wrote Dr. Kim and his office a letter giving a detail account of everything that happened and how much their mistake cost me in travel expense and lost wages. I received a letter back saying they refuse to reimburse me for anything. I will never let my father go to this doctor ever again. I have already found my dad a new doctor. I chose to wait to write this review to give Dr. Kim the opportunity to make things right, he chose not to.

He gets onto things right away. I got in at the last minute on a Friday as I had sudden onset double vision. He is very thorough when checking your eyes and describes everything in detail to you. This is for their Lynden location - Nice new building but that's where it ends. I contacted Peace…read moreHealth as I'm new to the area and have new ins. I advised that I needed to get a Rx refilled but was told that I was not able until I established care with one of their drs. I was told that there were no appts avail at either the Cordata or Lynden location until late Mar. I asked what people were supposed to do about Rx when appts were not avail for mns out and was told that the only option was to go to urgent care at one of their 2 bldgs I asked if they had any telehealth options and was told no, that I had to wait for an appt to go in or go to urgent care.I was assigned a dr and an appt was made for Mar. I told her that was going to be too late still so she gave me info about the urgent care locations and advised that Lynden tends to be a little bit less busy so that would be the better option. She said they accept walk-ins until 5:00. A couple of days later. I drove to the Lynden location and arrived at 4:30. There are two grumpy girls at the front, but the one to the far right is definitely the worst. When I told her I was there for urgent care, she asked me about my insurance, and very arrogantly dismissed me saying they don't take my insurance there. I told her that was strange because I had been directed to come here specifically by the peace health rep I talked . Rudy she just repeated they don't take my insurance at the Lynden location, and that I would have to go to their Cordata location. I asked what the difference was if it's the same entity, and she said that it's a new bldg. I let her know that I didn't understand what the new construction has to do with it but that's it's frustrating to drive 30 min for nothing. I then asked her if this location doesn't take my insurance then why was I assigned a Dr at this Lynden location. Rolling her eyes, she asked who my doctor was. When I told her Wang, she said that the dts at their location take my ins but not the urgent care. I told her that I didn't understand, and she retorted that It's a different dept and their urgent care doesn't take my insurance so I would need to go to their urgent care at Cordata. Then she said that they stopped taking patients at 4:15 , well depending on how many people are there (which the place was empty), so in either case she wouldn't be able to hellp. This girl could hardly make the effort to even look up at me while speaking, and when she did, it was all dirty looks- I mean blatant disdain and smugness on her face I don't actually think it was personal, I just get the feeling that this is just how she treats people in general. I was concerned about my appt so I asked her to double check that it was still on for Marc, seeing as how there seems to be some confusion as to whether they take my insurance at their bldg or not. She said yes, that it was confirmed and I asked if there was anything sooner. Begrudgingly she typed it in and as it turned out there were a lot of appts avail even the very next wk, so not sure why I was told mns over the ph. As frustrated as I was, I'm just trying to get my rx refilled so I booked an appt for the next wk. My appt was for 2:20, and unfortunately due to an accident from the sudden rainstorm that hit, I arrived at 2:31. Without hesitation, that same girl, and I quote, cocked her head and said, "yeahhhhh 13 minutes late, reschedule!" I explained to her that I apologized but I really did hit tan accident that put me a little behind and I don't need an extended appt, I just need to get a rx refilled. She said they have a no exception 10-minute policy. I literally got there at 2: 31 and that this was my second time coming down. I pretty much begged if they can go ask the doctor, She stomps off to the back and came back in with that same arrogant attitude and said, "yup, reschedule!" Okay I get it, things happen, the weather and traffic accidents aren't their fault, they don't want to bend over a minute, but dang, it's the the condescending tone and facial expressions that are just downright gross. The two times that I've been there, I've never seen that girl even remotely crack a smile or soften her face, except for when this male coworker comes by, I think he might sit behind her, then she's all giggles, but when she turns back around to look at you, she's got that dead face and attitude. All in all, I have not yet experienced the doctors or nurse care so I can't comment much on that. All I can say is that the people on the ph booking appts either don't have it together or are intentionally giving you bad info about appt availability, and urgent care info but worse, check-in will make you feel at best, like an inconvenience, but moreover without dignity. It's truly been an uncomfortable and degrading experience dealing with this location. Customer service is dead a lot of the time these days and I don't expect much, but this is bad bad, even with very lowest of expectations.

My 15-year old son has been coming to this clinic since he was a baby. Although our overall…read moreexperience has been positive (see my original review from 5 years ago), I need to downgrade the rating. Scheduling (2 stars) For acute symptoms, they are great as they have a same-day clinic and an after-hour clinic. However, when it comes to non-urgent care, we need to wait for a long time to be seen. Recently, we tried to schedule an appointment with his pediatrician, but they were scheduling more than TWO MONTHS out! I ended up calling Kaiser, and he was seen at the Kaiser Everett Medical Center the following week. Also, it's a challenge to schedule an annual checkup. My son was born in March, but his annual checkup is now in May as it keeps being pushed back because of the lack of provider availability. Provider turn around (2 stars) We have liked every provider he has had at this clinic. However, we had to switch to different providers several times because they decide to become a hospitalist and stop seeing patients at the clinic. I understand that doctors move, retire, etc. However, it just happens so frequent at this clinic, and it's not great because we would like to establish a long and solid relationship with a Primary Care Physician. Urgent Care (5 stars) Their triage nurses are ready available to answer medical questions and schedule an appointment when necessary. The after-hour clinic hours are also great. Specialists (5 stars) Because they are part of a hospital system, referral to specialists has been relatively easy (if you can get an appointment with your PCP that is). Verdict (3.5 stars) I will keep my son at this clinic mostly because they are good at providing urgent care (e.g., triage nurses and after-hour clinic) and they are the only "game" in town. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button!
