Vision plus in Ferndale tried to WITHHOLD my sons glasses that insurance paid for, for a 35$ dilation fee, that was already paid. it took over an hour wait with a child to figure out where the transaction was. keep track of your receipts so you don't get double charged! read more

Yuck. Awful. Worse than, "not good". I allowed this place to put new lenses on my Silhouette frames that I had bought in Singapore. They came back and the temple bars were mismatched from each other, and neither matched the bridge. Furthermore, within about 6 months one nose piece had broken off. The response of their staff was that I could purchase a replacement bridge for about $120, but that the temple bars were on me. Their staff agreed that the temple bars, right and left, were clearly different from one another (one is polished silver, while the other matte gun metal GRAY), and neither match the temple bar, which is blue. Even so, the claim of their staff was that they could not see how their lab (in St. Louis) could possibly have done this (despite the fact that each temple bar sells for over $100, while counterfeit Silhouette frames go for $20), basically leaving me as the only variable, the unavoidable inference being that I was somehow trying to scam them. We are done here. Never going back. read more

I purchased glasses at Ferndale. they are too tight. I went in to get them adjusted and was told there would be a long wait. I said doesn't this take a minute or two? blah blah only one person there or some such excuse. my husband's had the same experience at the Bellingham store. no respect or care it seems if you are not buying something. read more

I have been using Vision Plus on James for over 10 years and have never had an issue until recently. They have lack of staff and you have to wait forever to get glasses you ordered fitted. Came in at 2:15 pm on a Friday one person available and multiple people waiting. Ridiculous, find another place to get your eye care. Costco is a great option. read more

At first everything friendly staff at first, promised wait times of 2 weeks at the most, and that's fair. But, then the waiting game started. 2 weeks turned to 3, then almost a month....keep in mind my husband whom we were getting the glasses for is blind as a bat, and was getting headaches, vomiting from the eye strain, and stumbling over everything. When I call they made false promises that they would try to rush the product, we'd get our hopes up. And, then I'd have to call to find out it still wasn't in even though they assured us they would keep us updated through text. Last time I called they wouldn't answer the phone, and when they did kept me on hold, and then proceeded to call my husband and tell him they weren't in...again. I have glasses myself, and I've NEVER had such an awful experience such as this. 0/10, would not recommend! read more

I was in and out under 30 mins. I put off getting glasses simply for the dread of picking them out especially now with wearing mask. I have really mixed feelings about this place. Our experience with the eye doctor was fantastic - we've been seeing him for 5+ years and it's always been positive. The front staff and wait time....much more of a mixed bag. My kiddo was flagged at school for vision and the soonest they could get us in was two months out. Ugh. I'm cool waiting for my annual eye appointment, but for a kid who really needs to see it'd be nice if they kept some flexibility built into schedules. And the wait to get glasses adjusted is atrocious. Today I was told 10 minutes which turned into 45. They seem to be perpetually short staffed. For the most part when you do work with them it's a pleasant experience, but hard to not be frustrated with the wait. There's also someone at the front desk who seems harried and on the verge of rude every time I've been in. I hope they get this figured out or we may jump ship. They do have a really nice range of frames, though, we've always had good luck finding lots of options there. read more

If I could pick 0, I would! They put new nonprescription lenses in my Lindbergh frames. When I called to see if they were ready, I was told by the manager that the optician cracked one of the lenses, and they needed to start over. When I finally picked up my glasses, the person had been helping me just handed the case to me. I'm glad I opened the case. One of the nosepads was missing. She consulted with the manager, and I was just told that it can be fixed at the Lindbergh store in Seattle. I immediately visited another optical shop in downtown Bellingham that can competently install new lenses into Lindbergh frames (wish I had done my research before going to Vision Plus!) When I handed her the glasses, one lens popped out. Apparently, the lens was cut too small, so Vision Plus used epoxy to keep them in the frames. The lenses were also very flimsy and paper thin. The nosepad had been broken by their optician when installing the new lenses. Vision Plus does not stand behind their work!! So, I had this new optical office install new lenses. Terrible manager and opticians!! read more

In the past, always good service. Now, not so much. Apparently a franchise, they are consumed with the voice mail model and very nearly cannot engage the long-suffering customers with any sort of professionalism. Paid this clinic a visit recently and was taken aback by the warmth of the staff. They were friendly and helpful without being pushy. I did not have an appointment but was able to see the optometrist after a short wait. He was personable and very knowledgeable, answering all of my questions easily. By the way, their waiting area is really nice and comfortable with free coffee. I ended up buying a pair of sunglasses on the same visit which happened to be on sale!! read more

I got my lenses replaced on existing frames. A different clinic was not willing to do it because I bought the glasses online, but Vision Plus was willing to help me. The customer service was very professional and friendly. My insurance benefit of $150 paid for most of the cost, leaving me to kick in another $35. During the procedure, the lab reported that they found a hairline crack in the frame, but on inspection of the returned glasses we couldn't find a crack. Whew! The frames seem fine and the new lenses are very clear and comfortable. Based on this experience I will return for a similar service in the future if I have a similar insurance benefit. read more

They are quick to show you many options for your exam and lenses and eyeglasses or you can stick with the basic service. I have needed new glasses for years. When I discovered Vision Plus accepted my coverage, I was excited. Then Covid-19 happened and my hopes were dashed! But Stage 2 happened and I called right away. The Names street office got me i n quickly and I found an office with kind and caring people. With an eye to safety, we were kept apart an d I never felt uncomfortable. My doctor was kind and patients as I went through my eye history then set to work finding me the best prescription for my dad eyes. I then saw the kind folks who help with the frames. My helper make great suggestions and found a great pair of frames. He then set to work to make them affordable. I'm the end, I will end up with helpful lenses, attractive frames and better eye Sight. I've been going to see Dr. Aginsky for years now and he is always professional and kind towards everyone. He is the only eye doctor that noticed I had a cataract in my eye when I was 17 years old which prompted other tests. The front desk are always nice and fast when it comes to billing and appointments. I have never had a bad experience coming here. read more

Not impressed. First time going here and I won't be back. Front desk staff was friendly and the assistant to the optometrist was awesome, Emily I believe, but the optometrist just rushed the appointment and talked over me, the floor staff who helped with frames and lenses seem like they haven't the slightest idea what to do they are very timid, meek and just want to get you out the door while stumbling over their words and can't give a direct answer and say things like "yeah I guess that's what it should do" "or sure yeah I think so" you need to know what you're doing not guess this stuff is not cheap. They miss speak then turn around and say that the customer just wasn't listening. Very cramped location, poor frame selection and overpriced compared to other places. I will go pay out of pocket, out of network and actually have a meaningful visit where my time is just as important as theirs and I'm not left upset afterwards. Prescription was done wrong leaving me very ill for multiple days because the chick on the floor said it can take a few weeks to adjust to new lenses. Never before in my life has it taken more then a few hours to adjust with a single lense. Would not recommend, try a local business instead this one has that franchised corporate gimme the money feel. read more

I had a eyeglasses/contact fitting and prescription, an eye exam got contacts and a to die for brand new prescription pair of Ray-Ban glasses all for 305.00 that's right DESIGNER Glasses and NO EYE INSURANCE. read more

Overpriced and the customer service is poor. I have made four of five trips to this Vision Plus location in the last year. I accompanied a friend who was looking for new glasses in January. We were assigned a staff member to help with the paperwork, insurance, etc. The staff member could not have looked more bored or unengaged to be helping us. I foolishly had Vision Plus make me a pair of prescription sunglasses in Summer 2015. After my insurance deductible, I still needed to pay $390 out of pocket. Lesson learned: Everything in Sight can make a comparable pair for $140. read more

I really liked the Dr and staff however when I got my bill I had a question about an amount. I called and they weren't sure why the amount was different so they said they would look into it and get back to me. The next thing I knew I got a letter from a collection agency!! I called Vision Plus and the woman in billing was rude. I of coarse paid the collection agency right away (it was not a large amount) and sent an e-mail to Vision Plus but never heard back. They told me it would take 2 days to get my glasses, 1 week later they acted upset with me for dropping in to pick them up when I had not yet received a call that they were in. It has now been 10 days, and my glasses are still not ready. A simple apology and an educated guess of when they might actually be ready would make me happy, but they have not provided either one. read more
