A call to…read morea very nice and apologetic lady at the Hankook Rebate Center informed me that it had not even been processed, but she was doing it right then, and I should expect to see it in another 3-5 weeks. Since I've never in my life received a rebate I've applied for, I'm of the mind that it's standard operating procedure to never send them out unless someone follows up, in much the same way that some insurance companies deny all claims, initially. This is the first one I've ever bothered to run down. I guess we'll see. Stay tuned....

For brakes and other mechanical jobs make an appointment and leave the car pick it up later. My company just got quotes for shocks and struts for van. Les Schwab was the lowest quote! Our van is in their shop right this minute. Prices are up everywhere, Les Schwab prices are very competitive, and service after the sale is second to none. They stand behind their work, and will put it in writing. They are the best!

We had an issue with the trailer documentation to the wheel torque specs - their lawyers wouldn't let them pull the wheels - but the helped me find a solution, swapped out the tires (for a good price) and I had peace of mind the rest of the trip. Yes, I came in with only a couple of items that needed to be repaired, but left with having other items worked on. Once they have done a diagnostic check on your vehicle they give you the awareness of the different things that need to be serviced. No, this is not a scare tactic, because you decide to repair the items or not. They will have pictures to show you what the current condition is like my brakes, they were not making any noise, but they were at a critical state that left unrepaired and waited until it was making screeching noise I was in for more expensive repair. I like the fact they give me the option on to fix or wait until I'm ready. There approach is not a hard sell, I like Kat approach to the repairs. One one of my cars, they heard a rattling noise in the heater box area and it turned out where I was living in middle desert in so ca, I had left my car parked in the open for 5 months and a mouse / rat decided to make my heater box it's new home. I had them fix the issue and it also explained why I was having sinus issues whey driving the car for extended periods of time.
