I regret I cannot select zero stars. I just had the single most unprofessional car buying experience in my 55 years on Earth. I was interested in a used car they had listed. I called to inquire about the process to put a deposit on a vehicle; I had another car at a different dealership sell before I could place a deposit so I wanted to be prepared this time. I told them the car in which I was interested. Was told it was available, set an appointment to see it. Next day I get confirmation in the morning of my afternoon appointment. Thanks to some availability in my schedule I went early. I get there, meet my assigned salesperson who says "Let me go get the keys." She's gone the better part of 15 minutes and comes back to tell me the car just had a deposit placed on it. WTF?! This is a multi-million dollar auto dealership. There is no way the salesperson shouldn't have known the moment I came in the car was unavailable. She tried to ask if I want a different car from that manufacturer; I made it clear I was driving 45 minutes round trip for ONE particular car. I started to leave then asked to speak to a manager. I expressed my frustration and he tried to give me an excuse about the deposit being made only 45 minutes ago and there being 29 different sales people with whom he has to communicate. This isn't a pre-computer era. There is ZERO reason the system shouldn't be up to date INSTANTLY. If you take a deposit, the system should indicate that immediately. I hope this helps any reasonable person know with their eyes wide open what to expect if you visit this dealership. read more

Had a Unfortunate experience at this dealership TLDR They ran credit application when i was told it was a soft check by the sales man. (I asked and told the sales man "I will sign as long as it is a soft check and not a hard inquire" )(I was told not to worry and that it was a soft check.) I spent almost 4 hours negotiating, repeatedly asking for the out-the-door price and APR, but they kept avoiding giving clear numbers in writing and instead pushed monthly payments. What really stood out was how the payments suddenly dropped from $1,200+ to around $700 after I'd already been told several times that it was "the best they could do." They also tried to force about $4,000 in add-ons, claiming they were "required by the bank," which felt misleading. When I followed up about the hard inquiry, the response was basically brushed off with "Texas laws mean it won't affect your credit much." and we will get back to you about another trim level and see what we can do. (No one got back with me) At the end of the day, I'm left with a hard inquiry on my credit for something I clearly didn't agree to. They owe me a refund for an overpayment related to my trade-in, and despite repeated attempts to resolve this, no one will return my calls. Once the paperwork was signed and they had my money, the communication stopped entirely. I've called multiple times, left messages, and followed up, only to be completely ignored. This is not a misunderstanding -- this is money I am owed, and the dealership's refusal to respond is unacceptable. Mistakes happen. Dodging customers when you owe them money is not a mistake -- it's a choice. A reputable dealership would address the issue promptly and professionally. Northwest Hyundai has done neither. I scheduled a week in advanced for a replacement headlight. I arrived and was quoted $105 for parts and labor. I found the price a little on the high side but understood that I was at an authorized hyundai service center and would be paying a premium. They tell me the service will take 1.5hrs. 1.5hrs later, they return and tell me, it actually costs $350+ tax because they didn't realize how "labor intensive" changing the headlight would be on my vehicle-- a 2019 Veloster. I asked the service agent how it was possible that I was at an authorized hyundai service center where I made an appointment for a routine service a week in advance and no one knew the labor costs ahead of time...such that it was 3x the initial quote. He didn't really have an answer. I ended up just buying the headlight and taking it somewhere else. read more

Very disappointing experience with this dealership. I purchased a certified Hyundai vehicle on March 7, 2026, and even after more than two months, my registration is still not completed. I was charged $225 in documentation fees, yet the paperwork and registration process remain incomplete. I was also charged approximately $390 for a "mandatory" tracking device that was never installed in my vehicle. To make matters worse, the vehicle was sold without proper emissions testing and complete paperwork. Despite multiple follow-ups with the dealership, Hyundai customer service, and TxDMV, the issue is still unresolved. I expected much better professionalism and transparency from a certified Hyundai dealership. Buyers should carefully review all charges and paperwork before purchasing from here. read more

When I contacted the dealership, I was told they could not honor their own advertised price or even come close to it. After I declined to accept their counter offer to their own listed offer, I received multiple unsolicited texts over the next two days, including after I clearly asked to stop being contacted. Horrible This was my first car buying experience and it was horrible. They refused to answer questions strait up and I was constantly unsure. They told me I had a promo for a low deposit. Before coming I called multiple times and spoke to different people to confirm that this promotion would be applied because I was driving over an hour and didn't want to make the trip without being sure when we got there. They acted like they said that I couldn't get the promo. The whole thing was just shady and I'm grateful that I was able to get something but the way they handled me was horrible Now after two months of me having the car I am contacted by one of the representatives and they told me that my registration was never done. Mine amongst everyone that bought a car within the last four months. I was never told that my registration/inspection was not done and I had already been waiting two months to get my registration/inspection . They want me to drive all the way back there so they can do my inspection and I'm very upset and annoyed by them because they could've at least told me that my inspection was not done.I had left my car at the dealership for five days after buying. For a significant amount of time, there was little to no communication, and it appeared that nothing was being actively worked on. It was only after I raised concerns about the lack of service that I was told the delay was due to the finance department working with banks. Shortly after making this complaint, I began receiving multiple email notifications about hard credit inquiries. These notifications did not arrive until after I spoke up, which strongly suggests that no real progress was being made beforehand. The internet team lists vehicles at very attractive prices, but when you show up, you're told the car you came for was "just sold." In fact, every vehicle advertised online as being on sale has conveniently become unavailable, and the only cars they do offer are significantly more expensive. This has happened to me twice at this location. Before my second visit, I double- and triple-checked that the vehicle was still available--I even had the price in writing. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because of the service advisor, Katy -- she was really nice and tried to help me as much as she could. Unfortunately, the service technician was dishonest. I've been having an issue with my driver's side window for over seven months, and I was told that when a loaner car was available, they'd contact me so they could remove the door panel and fix the problem. During my recent visit for an oil change and a recall, I was told my car was ready and they sent a Lyft driver to pick me up. When I got to my car, I noticed that the part sticking up on my driver's side window had just been cut down. They claimed the issue was fixed -- but it wasn't. I could still hear the wind while driving. It's disappointing that they thought cutting the part down would actually solve the problem. read more

A true story of bait and switch. I worked with a salesperson over email and text and had a confirmed out-the-door price negotiated and even an appointment to finalize at the dealership. When I arrived, a different salesperson told me that the vehicle I had made a deal on less than an hour before had been sold. The new salesperson then said that they would honor the agreed to deal on an identical car that they could get in two days; I just needed to put down a deposit. I reluctantly agreed but said I wanted to make sure a manager also agreed to the deal. The manager eventually came over, denied there was ever a deal even though I showed him the messages where his salesperson agreed to the deal, and said they wouldn't have a similar car in stock for over a month. But, they could sell me a different car at a higher price before then. I walked out. I have never been the victim of such an obvious bait and switch tactic in my life. I purchased a used car from this dealership and after just 7 days it is already showing major mechanical and electrical problems. Multiple sensor lights came on, and the transmission began overheating, making the car unsafe and unreliable to drive. When I had the vehicle inspected, the mechanic found significant preexisting rodent damage--chewed wiring and signs of a nest that had clearly been in the engine compartment before I bought the car. That type of damage does not happen in a week. This is extremely concerning, and the dealership has refused to take responsibility. I had to drive the car to Austin, Texas for work and now have no safe way to get it back to Conroe without risking further damage. Regardless of "as-is," no reputable dealer should sell a vehicle with undisclosed wiring damage and safety issues. I will be filing complaints with the Texas DMV and Attorney General. Buyers should be cautious--my experience has shown there is no support after the sale. read more

I purchased my 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe in April/May of 2025 (not from Northwest Hyundai, but they are my local dealer). From day one, the vehicle had a small crack in the driver seat leather, which I noticed immediately after bringing it home with under 100 miles on it. On top of that, my Blue Link has not worked since June. When I brought both issues to Northwest Hyundai, I was told a claim would be submitted to Hyundai for the seat. Later, I was informed that it was "denied." After calling Hyundai America directly, I found out that no case was ever submitted at all -- the Service Manager simply decided it wouldn't be approved. That is not acceptable. A dealer's job is to advocate for the customer, not to make warranty decisions on their own. As for Blue Link, I was told they needed the car for a few days and that I would be provided with a rental. That was back on August 25th. Since then, I have been called in multiple times for "tests" that led nowhere, still no working Blue Link, and no rental vehicle ever provided. The Service Advisor does not return my messages, provides no updates, and the General Manager has not responded to my emails either. This is my fourth Hyundai. I like the vehicles overall, but it is frustrating that every new Hyundai I have owned comes with issues -- and what makes it worse is when a dealership gives customers the runaround instead of solutions. It has now been almost a month with no progress, no resolution, and no accountability from this dealership. Completely unacceptable experience. read more

Another thing, I didn't appreciate being told that we HAD to purchase added protection but at the end all but the GPS was removed( which I still dont understand but whatever). We did our research after we left and found multiple sites that stated it was not required but yet a dealer tactic that is used to make more profit. Then there was the statement that ALEC made about that's why he wanted to put us in the used one because it would be cheaper as if I can't afford these vehicles. I'm sorry but I make 150000 plus a year and I had the check stubs on hand yesterday to prove it. It's not about the money but I'm still not going to let someone try and get over on me. I understand he is new but at the end of the day, y'all need to do a better job at preparing your salesman and saleswomen on professionalism. We will be leaving reviews and trying to get ahold of someone higher then you to report the unprofessionalism that we experienced (Not that it will probably do any good since we did notice that y'all are very busy with so many unsuspecting customers that I can only assume never question y'all's bullshit! I was contacted by the internet sales team member Chaun. They made multiple attempts to get me to come in, I completed a an app before I went to the dealer. (I'm 40 mins away) I was "approved". After getting to the dealer I was told that Chaun does not work at the location, which she had ensured me that she would be there from 9am-9pm. Another salesman sat down with me which he told me I was not approved ect. He was very unprofessional. Confused I called Chaun she mentioned that she would get with the finance manager and get back with me. I sat for a hour, no call no one checked to see if I was helped. Internet sales department is completely unprofessional. I found a car that I really liked told the gentleman I would be there the next morning as it was past 8 PM. I looked online in the morning and did not see the vehicle still available so I texted the gentleman, he responded that it was still there. I said I would leave probably around 2 PM and head that way and I would text just to make sure it was still indeed available, I texted he said it was. I drove over an hour to get to the dealership and it was not there. And no, it has not just been sold. The gentleman at the dealership said they had another similar vehicle, which was the same one that Internet guy was trying to sell me on... I guess they thought if you get somebody here in person you can try and sell them on something else. Do not recommend this place at all. read more
