Convenient location, store enlarged, employees are helpful, good inventory selection and reasonable prices

Online ordering was great...or so I thought. Clearly listed the number of items in stock for what I ordered. Placed over $200 in orders and was ready to go next morning by 9 am, within a few hours of opening, and notified in email they cancelled my order! Called the store and asked if the website had been wrong. Nope! They decided to not honor online orders and cancel them without notice after 5 pm. I have health issues and critically needed what was ordered. Asked for management who refused to speak to me about the situation. Poorly managed store, poor business practices, and rude staff. I'm a customer of 30+ years but doubt I will go back. I bought paint for a furniture project. I had several questions and the employee ( who was very nice and polite) could not answer a single one. He called for help three times over a 20 minute period and NO One came. Finally. Another customer helped me with the paint rollers. I gave my card to the cashier and asked that the manager call me, and have not heard from him. My complaint was not with the employee, we've all been new in a job, but with the fact that three calls for help went unanswered and now the manager has not followed up. I really don't think I ended up with the right product and learned I need to go to a big box store. read more

Ace hardware sucks so much. They always have terrible customer service with the most unfriendly staff. I try my hardest to avoid dealing with them, but if you want Stihl products you are unfortunately stuck with these morons. I ordered a saw online, got confirmation it was all ready to be picked up and they charged my credit card for the purchase. I drove over an hour to the store and they don't have the saw!! The staff was incredibly unapologetic. I asked what happened and they just shrugged and said I don't know. These people do not care about helping customers. They are complete idiots. read more

I try to support my local Northwest Ace, even though as we know their prices are generally higher than Home Depot or Lowe's. I recently needed a new key for my F150, they didn't have one available (said they could order one, but would take several days to get there. I needed it asap) so I picked one up somewhere else. I came back to Ace to ask if they'd cut it for me, told them I'd pay whatever they thought fair. They refused saying amongst other things it could possibly damage their key cutting machine, then saying they didn't want to open that door to people bringing in their own keys (it was an ordinary key, the same type you use to unlock any door, nothing unusual about it). obviously within their right, but considering I try to by from Ace as much as possible, I felt it wasn't unfair to ask for a favor, but since I was told no, I took that same key to Home Depot, and they gladly cut it for me. That was enough for me, to from here on out, take 100% of my business to Home Depot from here on out. read more

I love this place. The folks are so helpful. The other day I had a door in my house that would not close correctly and I was looking for a larger door jamb catch device. I went to Ace. Alice greeted me with a cheerful "what can I help you with?" I explained my problem and when she saw that what they had on the shelf would not fix the problem, she said "Wait here and I'll see if I can file this down enough so that your door will close." A few minutes later, she came back with what I needed -- and it worked perfectly! Thanks Alice! read more

Save yourself from the look and feel of the big box stores like Lowe's and HomeDepot... ACE is really your friendly hardware store. What makes this place even better is the managers and people like Hope and Debbie... awesome cashiers and really go above and beyond. (Darkhorse) read more

There are a couple of grumpy old guys, true, but they are helpful. Everyone else is kind. No one at Lowe's knows their stock the way they do at Ace. You pay a little more for the convenience, but it is worth it if you need advice. Good luck finding someone who knows anything at HD or Lowe's. read more

I love ACE! Amazing selection...they always seem to have what I need. The staff greets me and is always helpful telling or showing me where to find what I am looking for. They are conveniently located, no driving for miles to mail a package or buy a hose or screws or bird seed. My husband calls it "his ACE fix" when he heads that way. read more

I like coming to Ace because it is smaller than other hardware stores. Bigger places can be intimidating. The staff is very helpful and easy to find through out the store. They do have less of a selection, so if you are looking for something really specific they may not have it. Their prices are good and I have paid lower for several items. read more

"Welcome to Ace Hardware!" :) You can't possibly walk in here without being greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. I come here quite often for many different needs. The post office is the best. The ladies behind the counter are a hoot! They are so thoughtful and helpful. They always make sure I'm getting the best price for what I need done. Even when they have to go out of their way they do it with a smile. I have also had keys made at this location and bought general garden or housing items. I love that there is a location so close to my neighborhood, especially when I need a quick nut or bolt to round out whatever project I may have gotten myself into. If they don't have your item they will guide you in the right direction :) read more

"ACE is the place!" There are 2 Lowe's and Home Depot's in town but this Ace is a mile away from where I live. Selection is not as large as the big box stores but they almost always have what I need. Price difference isn't enough to drive across town. Also service beats the big box stores read more

Came to this location a couple of times. I tend to stick with smaller hardware stores vs. larger ones (Home Depot, Lowes) who have a wide selection of quality merchandise your looking for. And if they don't have it, they know where you can find it. If your needing a small quantity of bolts, nuts, washers etc and want to avoid buying those large packages because you only need one or two, ACE is the perfect place to go. They have every size of nut, bolt, washers that you could ever imagine. Most of the staff are friendly and are eager to help you find what your looking for. They appear tired and are not the most outgoing but that's minor. If gardening or lawn care is your thing, then your in luck. ACE has a huge selection of soil, seeds (veggies and grass), fertilizers, garden tools, Etc. Very convenient location off Robinhood RD with a large parking lot. Great for those in and out purchases. If you are in search of a post office and want to avoid those long lines, ACE has a post office conveniently located in the back of the store. Hardly ever a line of more than 2 people. read more

Save yourself the time and money! I've been to this store on many occasions and I'm tired of the dismissive and disrespectful personnel employed here. Unfortunately it's the closest hardware store nearest my house. Now I drive across town to go to a different store. I bought two kerosene heaters over the phone and went to the store to pick them up. The employee had written down my phone number and debit card number incorrectly. When the card didn't go through and he couldn't reach me on the phone, he made the decision to sell them out from under me - regardless of the fact that I said I'd be there in one to two hours to pick them up. The owner apologized, but didn't offer any suggestions to make it right. I also found out that this store charged $20 per heater than is advertised on the Ace Hardware website and has a "no return policy" on "snow items" - wouldn't a kerosene heater be a winter item, not just snow? I will never go to that store again! read more
