I tried to get this resolved but when I messaged Joe, he only responded with "Omg I sold a stainless identical to that fridge, and it was only 2 yrs old. We found out about Matt Cawley Appliance Service from the Athens FB page, people were really happy…read morewith the service. I contacted him to check our gas dryer as the Jack A Slab crew mentioned they smelled natural gas coming from our outside dryer vent before they started their work. Matt was on time and has a kind and professional demeanor. Found it was going to cost more to fix than replace so we purchased a dryer from Matt, we liked his attitude so much we also replaced the stove and microwave, something we had been thinking about for a while. He delivered and installed all 3, again on time, receiving a text saying he was on his way, which was greatly appreciated. He didn't leave until he was sure everything was in proper working order. He was very careful removing the old and bringing in the new appliances. We highly recommend Matt for repair or replacement of your appliances.

Appliance repairs in Springfield are difficult. Mixed reviews for everyone. For every person who…read moreloves one place, another hates it. When my washer went out, I called 4 different places and left messages. Only one called me back. I spoke to the owner on Wednesday after 4, he was able to come out on Friday. Shockingly, the washing machine was repairable. With its age and the problem being electrical, I was aware it might not be. The owner was friendly and kind; I enjoyed our conversation. At the same time, I never felt like he wasted my time. I also didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on something, like many other places do. My over the counter microwave has now broken and I feel very comfortable calling Henry's for that repair as well.

My Maytag washer was on the fritz. Henry's came out twice and charged $300. I had told the repair…read moreperson that my washer was also making a funny noise as well as shutting down due to a faulty wire. After the repair person left, I attempted to do a load of clothes. It sounded like a lawn mower. I called him back and was going to come back in a few days. I told him I was done. My brother who lives in another state and is not a repairman, was able to diagnose the issue, ordered a part, drove to Illinois and fixed my machine in about 30 minutes. The whole repair job was only $20. I have always dealt with Henry's in the past and been happy with their service. I am very disappointed with the service I received this time. I won't be calling them in the future. My advice . . . Check their work before they leave your house.
