I recently purchased a new IS 250 from this dealership. My sales consultant was Barry Bartel. Barry was calm without being condescending, had the car ready to test drive as soon as I walked in the door, and we completed the paperwork per our previously negotiated sales price. Straightforward, no nonsense, and very empowering to complete an important purchase with as minimal hassle as possible. Barry knew about the vehicle, the standard equipment as well as the add ons, and was able to talk me through the test drive without being overbearing. The finance manager, Cristian Craioveanu, was also wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this dealership. Even though it was farther away from my home and place of business, it was definitely worth the drive for the painless and speedy service they provided. I do realize I'm on that "new car euphoria" for now, and things may slide a bit from here, but overall, I have only positive things to report about this experience. read more

It was "too bad so sad" from Management at NorthSide Lexus, their word and policies don't mean a thing! I live out of town and was negotiating with one of their veteran salesmen. I gave him my ccard info to put a deposit on the car, we agreed on the price and while I was deciding on which finance option to go with their Sales Manager sold the car out from under us. When the salesman started my finance paperwork he went to get the car and it was gone! Now if that wasn't bad enough after finding out what happened no one went to bat for me. The salesman just said "I'm sorry the car is gone I guess it was meant to be." What!??! Meant to be?!!?! There wasn't a "we are so sorry this happened, I'll look for another car and give you a good deal" no nothing like that just "too bad so sad, it must have been meant to be". You can spin it any way you like but that is called "stab you in the back, sneaky snake trick"! read more

We went to Northside Lexus because they happened to be there when we came out from Infiniti across the street. We told the rep exactly what we were looking for and the model, and he figured he had a few available. He went to get the car around so we can "look" at it. When he came back, he didn't ask for our drivers license, so I asked "don't you want to see our license?" He said "oh, you wanted to test drive it???" There was no way we were going to buy from him or this dealer. He tried to make it up offering us to test drive any car he had, but we were done. We actually ended up buying Lexus elsewhere. Maybe the rep didn't want to deal with us, because my husband and I are somewhat young, minority couple, who don't flash our wealth. Every time I talk about this story, everybody laughs including me. How ignorant people can be. I do not recommend this dealer. read more

Never use the Northside Lexus Collision Center. The Collision Center doesn't honor their own warranties. By their own admission, if a part wasn't broke went they installed it, there isn't any warranty for defects that may be revealed in the future. In addition, they reused a existing gasket as part of an installation although a new gasket was provided. They claimed no accountability for a later problem. read more

I had my 2012 Lexus RX350 serviced with Northside Lexus on Thursday, June 12, 2014. While this is only my second time to visit Northside Lexus for a service, I cannot complain with either experience. Jeffrey Pettipher is my service consultant. He is always very helpeful and explains the service in full to me. He keeps me informed while my car is in the service station and contacts me immediately upon the completion of my service. My car is always sparkling clean inside and out when I pick it up and smells like new! I would give Northside Lexus 5 stars with regards to the service department. These guys may be decent in their normal operations but I'd HIGHLY recommend thinking twice before coming in from out of town. Came in to buy a 2011 GX460 which was apparently a new arrival. Had the color, miles and options that we wanted so I called to purchase. Was told, Just came back from interior as it had some upholstery work done. So I thought, GREAT! Lets do this! The salesman Larry Kidd cautioned that I may need to wait a few hours as the paint was going to get a little touch-up work. So, my wife and I arranged financing before I headed out and all was well.. Or so we thought. Interior repair work was done. Car was not detailed, not even washed. Paint guy had barely started (I drug my feet and got there late at 11am to accommodate for this) The car was in much worse state than told. Scratches and dings all over that were purposely left out of the photo's and that it is going to take much longer than stated to get this done. My point being, I was on a schedule being from out of town and had the salesman just been Honest with me, I would have worked something else out. To cap it all off, their finance department is in the 19th century electronically. I wanted the car to be in me wife's name because I carry all of our debt and it weighs on my credit. We filled out a power of atty. and everything. At the last minute, we are told that CAPITOL ONE, who we are financing through.. Doesn't accept electronic docs and must have the originals. Hmm.. Not what Capitol One originally said and we called again to verify. Then, after an hour of chasing people at Cap One, the truth comes out.. Hamilton Dawes of Northside Lexus informs me the Northside Lexus doesn't want to accept the e-docs. This forces me to change financing at the last minute and now we have to come out of pocket on the sale because we are not dealing with our preferred finance company. Just a terrible experience with them. I would never go back and I would never recommend them. To top it all off, I get halfway home and stop to eat. As I'm walking back to the car, I notice that one of the parking sensors that was removed for paint, was not put back in. I text my salesman and he replies with a part number and a website of where I can buy them. Very disappointing! Update: Called and left a message for Mr. Karmout per message below. The vehicle service and body repair departments are fantastic at this place. Very honest.

Have been a customer since 2007 and have always had my Lexus serviced there religiously. However, over the last two years things have changed and not for the better. They have gotten much more expensive for service and parts, and I am not sure if they are recommending work that does not need done. Most recently, I was told the engine cooling system hoses needed replacing and was quoted a very high price for simply changing hoses. I sought a second opinion from a highly rated Lexus service and there price was almost half. Additionally, the service confirmed one hose needed changing but the second hose was o.k. however the clamp had become loose. Makes you question NSL efficacy at best. Will be hard to trust them in the future. read more

I'm leasing a 2017 Lexus RX 350 from Northside Lexus. I got my new vehicle in January 2018. After driving my new SUV for two (2) weeks, I started to feel that the vehicle was stalling between 35 - 60 miles per hour. I took it to Northside Lexus and one of the Service Advisor told me that I should drive the vehicle a little longer so it would adjust to my mode of driving. Not true. I took my SUV to Northside Lexus for 5000 mile maintenance and informed the Service Advisor that my SUV was stalling and also experiencing delayed engagement at a low speed. I was surprised when the advisor told me that these issues had already been reported by multiple RX 350 owners, and it seems that Lexus gave more importance to fuel economy than performance. All they could offer was a software update, which by the way is useless. The SUV has 7000 miles, still stalling, and Lexus and Northside Lexus are doing nothing about it. An engineer from Lexus supposedly came to Houston to inspect my car a week ago, I haven't received any technical report yet. The Lexus RX 350 is a beautiful SUV but the transmission has problems. My recommendation: do not buy the Lexus RX 350, you'll be disappointed. Once you exit Northside Lexus, you're on your own. Service Advisors will only give you excuses, and they will offer meaningless software udpates to distract you from the real problem. Don't buy a Lexus. read more

I've been a customer for almost 4 years since I moved here from Florida. I've always been able to get a loaner car with any service I get. I called to make an appt for my car to get an oil change. The lady told me on the phone they don't offer loaner car for an oils change. I was like is this something new? I've never been told that before. She said no. I was like this is the first I've heard of it I don't have time to wait I'll have to go to another Lexus dealer. She say well I'll get your appt with a loaner car. I asked her if she was sure because I don't want to drive all the way there and not get a loaner car. Sure enough I came in and the service guy argued with me about getting my loaner. I had to walk out because I'm not gonna spend my money at a place that's not going to appreciate my business. I've just bought 4 new tires and did my 30,000 miles service with them less than 2 months ago. read more

Don't trust the service dept. Document your car when leaving it with them. Their actual repairs seem OK but I have had 2 cars damaged during service visits. First car - front spoiler broken and scratched and the second was my Navigation Screen. They agreed to fix the front spoiler because the damage was obvious and not noted on my service adviser check in report. We had also just had the entire front end repainted there due to accident a couple of months prior. So, they really could not deny it. The second car was dropped off to do a recall on the fuel rail. When we picked it up, the touchscreen had magically stopped working, Since the repair did not involve that unit, they claim no responsibility for it's damage and told me it was just due to age. Never mind that it was working perfectly that morning, and that there are electrical connectors that are unplugged and plugged back when working on the fuel rail that could cause a power surge and damage things like a touch screen if the battery is not properly disconnected. They also flatly refused to document my claim in any way and said I just had to take the car and deal with it myself. Even when contacting Lexus US office, I was told the same thing. So, the take away is that Lexus will not admit to anything and you need to have your own documented evidence of your vehicles condition (especially the expensive parts) when it was dropped off. Do not assume anything. If you take it in for a fuel rail, and the seats get torn up, they will claim innocence and refuse to fix it since that is not part of what they worked on directly. You have no recourse other than filing in court. Luckily I believe (hope) my issue can repaired with a $250 touch screen replacement, but what if the entire unit had to be replaced? That would be $5000 or more out of my pocket due to their abuse and denial which means lawyers would need to get involved. Take pictures, video, whatever you have to when dropping it off. Obviously they do not treat the cars with respect. The Lexus Experience is no different than any other dealership... including the ones on the street corners. CYA ! read more

I took my wife's new NX for its first 6 month service. I asked if they could clean it (a supposedly free service that they offered when we bought the car) and also to tighten the front plates because they were loose from the first time they install it. I received the car dirtier and they broke the plate frame. They stated they do not have the piece in stock because the car is too new. 1 week later I had to ask again to leave 1 hr earlier at my work to bring the car again. Super bad customer service. I wish I had a different dealer closer to me. They are way behind BMW or Mercedes. read more

I took my Lexus to get the dash board recall done @ Northside Lexus. When I got it back, it suddenly had 3 minor problems including an A/C vent dial (next to the new dash) that didn't function, the navigation system did not work correctly(not calibrated to this area), and it had a thumping noise near glove box area (a/c filter was not inserted correctly). 2 months later, I finally had time to bring my car back to fix these new problems. They fixed everything, but made me pay over $250 to replace the A/c vent that their service tech allegedly broke (this is the price for the part, they waived labor charge to install it). I have no proof he did it, so I'm stuck paying the bill. I asked to speak to a manager, but was told this was the best deal I could get. I sent an email and asked for a manager to call me about this problem. I rec'd no call. I'm very disappointed that I had to pay for a mistake allegedly caused by their employee! I will never go back. read more

We actually had out heart set on the Infiniti QX56 across the street but after going to both dealerships Sewell and Northside there was no doubt which SUV we were going with. Our Sales rep, Eric V, had a laidback style and wasn't pushy and at the same time gave us the attention and details we were looking for. This is the worst experience and least professional company that I have ever dealt with in my life. They stole from me and were supposed to order parts in last February and I have been waiting since then. I have given all my necessary information that was supposed to make sure this job was taken care of and awaiting the parts since that time. So we fast forward 8 months later and not only did they REFUSE to do work on my vehicle they kept the parts which were ordered using my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). They didn't give me a legitimate reason why they refused to service my vehicle and now are keeping my parts which were ordered on my behalf. They are STEALING from me and have given the worst possible service for someone like myself who works extremely hard day and night to make a living. The Lexus Northside dealership should absolutely be ASHAMED of themselves for marginalizing my issues and pushing me to the side like this. I have literally no other options to go to other than voicing my frustrations on this platform and hopefully someone can hear me out here. The fact that they took this long to give me a final decision since last February makes me think that wanted to take advantage of me and felt like I didn't understand anything about customer service. read more

I brought my Lexus here for just a maintenance service and received more than what I bargain for. They dropped something big on the back of my white Lexus which caused a dent and scratches on the Lexus emblem that is located on the back of my trunk. They did fix it two days later at no charge when I went to pick up my car it was very dirty and I asked is this how your company return vehicles to your customers they offered to wash it so I waited 15 minutes. But I will never take my car here again. read more

I found a car online that was at this dealership and drove in from Austin with a certified check to purchase. The finance mgr Hamilton was especially rude, he even had the nerve to argue over meaningless details that had nothing to do with the actual transaction. He was extremely unprofessional and it became obvious why he was kept in the back away from customers until after the sale was made. Additionally, after signing the paperwork, I returned to Austin and realized that I forgot my garage door opener in the trade-in vehicle. I requested for two days for them to look for it and only got a response after calling the main number. It's now been over a week and you guessed it ...they still haven't sent the remote as promised. If you must use this dealership, ensure you get everything you're looking for in black and white, because once they have your money, all customer service is done. These guys will smooth-talk you until you purchase, after that you're just another annoying number they have to deal with. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from these guys. read more

I'm a little disenchanted with the service department. When I bought my car I was told that since I live in a southern suburb of Houston all I have to do is call the dealership and they will schedule a pick up, drop off rental car, and return of my vehicle when services are performed. They would also detail the inside and wash and detail the outside of my car each time. The first oil change my car was washed and the floors were vacuumed. That is not "detailed". And it took two weeks from the time I called to get on the schedule for pick up. The second time I needed an oil change and 40k service my car was not even washed and the inside was not touched. I purchased the wheel touch up contract when I bought the car and had that performed and that was given as a reason not to wash my car (couldn't they have done that before the wheels were buffed and put back on)? I know that seems petty but this is the first luxury vehicle I have ever bought and I was looking forward to being pampered a bit when it required servicing. The pick up and drop off with loaner car is nice, I have to admit. The people are very nice every time. I guess I was just expecting a little more pampering. Overall I am happy with the actual service and the friendly personnel. read more

It was easy to make an appointment online for my 10000 mile service and repair of some window tint that had peeled. When I arrived, I waited 20 minutes for the service advisor to greet me and sign the paperwork for a loaner car. She was very nice and made a special effort to get a loaner just like my vehicle, as I had a need for an SUV to transport my pet to the vet. My car was completed at the time promised and the work was excellent. I was not badgered to purchase any additional services or equipment. The car wash was excellent for the exterior. The interior carpets were vacumned, but the dash and console had not been touched and were still dusty. I received several texts and emails thanking me for using their dealership. My salesman calls periodically to keep in touch and check on my vehicle. My sales experience was excellent. read more
