Love all of the doctors we have seen. The staff is kind and efficient. Highly recommend!

If I could give ZERO stars. This place only cares about your money. Not your child. They turned a friend of mine away after agreeing to see her daughter when they wanted to wait on vaccinating. Then when they got to the office they told her they would not see her daughter because she isn't vaccinated. (Meanwhile she's only 2 weeks old so the only vaccine she hasn't received is hep b and vitamin k). Today we went to have our 2 month check up and they told us they wouldn't see her because there's an issue with my insurance. Thanks for the heads up! We were in the parking lot, and the only notification I got about the issue was a text saying "please call front desk regarding insurance issue" 2 days before the appointment. When I tried to call I was on hold for 29 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. So I hung up figuring we'd work it out at her appointment. Funny that they turned her away for not vaccinating and turned us away on vaccination day. Thanks for nothing scumbags. We are looking for a new office with doctors that care read more

Both of my kids see Dr. Nadarajah and she is so great with them. I love all of the office staff as well! They have walk in hours two days a week, a well-staff nurse line to call and ask questions, as well as same day sick appointments. Everyone we have seen from the practice has been wonderful. They do have a pro-vaccine policy, so if you are on the other side of the discussion you may wish to steer clear of this practice. Alternatively if you are pro-vaccine this is a great place to be. read more

We've been seeing various doctors here for a few years. This practice is always willing to talk to you on the phone or squeeze you in. Today, we saw the nurse practitioner for my daughter's checkup and shots. It went well. This was the first time my daughter didn't get hysterical about getting her shots. I also turned down the HPV shot per usual without too much upset from staff. The office is clean and professional. I like this office and staff. read more

My daughter is almost 10 months old and has been going to the office since she was born. We were coming pretty frequently when she was a newborn because she was a preemie. My husband is an ER physician so I must say we are quite picky about the doctors we choose for our family. Northpointe was recommended by some of his colleagues who also take their children there. We drive almost 25 minutes to go to the office but it is definitely worth it to have a Peds office you feel comfortable with. Dr. Foster is her primary pediatrician and we can not say enough good things about her. She's very knowledgeable, listens well and never seems annoyed by answering questions. Her demeanor is very warm and also laid back which was very helpful for a stressed out Mom of a preemie. My husband was impressed by her medical knowledge and outstanding bedside manner. She stays on top of results and communication with specialist offices. When my daughter had to go to the hospital for an ultrasound of her hips and Echo for her heart, Dr. Foster called us back the same day to let us know the results were normal. Anytime I have called for a same day sick appointment, the office has been able to see my daughter. It isn't usually with her doctor but they always have someone available. The office also has a lactation consultant which was really helpful when I was dealing with the issues associated with breastfeeding a preemie. This office is well established, well organized, attentive and caring to the patients and parents. read more

Dear Dr. Brian Engel, Thank you for showing your true colors so that we know not to entrust our son in your care moving forward. Our son was recently admitted to the ER for severe stomach pains. First let me say that I'm always amazed that even with a kid doubled over in pain they still want your insurance card first before they do anything and second before they ask about symptoms they ask about your child's immunizations. I get it money first then more money are key priorities before patients health and treatment. Before my doctor friends chime in trust I know the system and worked in it for 18 plus years. Second if you aren't the type of doctor that practices medicine this way don't be offended or feel you have to chime in on a topic that I feel strongly about because this happens to be my opinion. I love doctors , have many friends and relatives that have chosen this as their profession. I admire what they do everyday however this type of doctor I'm going to discuss is a different story. So he's admitted, questions are asked, tests and labs are done to rule out the worst. I actually am amazed at how quick the ER at St. John's responded after they got the appropriate credentials. We were rushed into x-ray where the technician was very kind and technically efficient. The staff doctor was equally impressive. Not condescending and had a great bed aide manner. Within an hour we knew that our son only had a bad case of constipation. Whew thank God we made it home and all is well again. So back to Brian Engel. The next morning I received a call as a follow up to see how Chase was doing and they asked to schedule a follow up appointment and I thought oh that's cool. Then I thought ok they are going to press the issue about our sons immunization records I'm sure. Fast forward get to the appointment and mind u, the doctor he saw wasn't his usual Doctor he saw Bran Engel who apparently owns the practice. He checked his blood sugar took some other labs and without discussing them came into the room and immediately wanted to talk about Chases immunizations that he was missing. He recommended HPV, and a coupe of others. Chases dad told him our thoughts on HPV and that Chase wouldn't be getting that and he would consult with me on the others. Brian Engel left the room and never returned. His nurse came in to say that there was a conflict of interest in our belief about immunizations and unless we agreed right then to have Chase immunized that we would need to find another pediatrician because of our philosophical differences. First Brian Engel. We didn't come into your office to discuss immunizations with you and you called us in under false pretense. Second we have a right to decide what is and isn't appropriate for our son and when we will decide based on our research on the subject. Thirdly I'm glad they didn't not stop handing out licenses to practice medicine when you became a doctor. There are several hundreds of pediatricians across this great Detroit Metro area so the fact that you think a threat to not treat our child would work in your favor is beyond me. I'm sorry that you will not make your practice quota and bonus for children receiving full immunizations in your practice. I'm sorry that my sons health is viewed as a means to and end. It is my duty and responsibility as a parent to sue my diligence before I just allow my son to be injected with anything unnecessarily that could harm him. Now you may not agree with my public flogging but in the days of social media you should think carefully with your heart and uphold your oath instead of thinking of your pockets. From day one at St Johns when Dr Nadarajah came by with her calm demeanor and loved on my little lady, its been a beautiful relationship since. Now we also see Dr Leo more often as my work schedule has changed and shes so kind, has young kids and is so relate-able. The staff in the back is awesome too! I can't remember the assistants name that we had last time but so helpful when it came to my insurance battle. I love Dr. Jeannette Marchand, she is without a doubt a fantastic human, doctor, and confidant. I rated 3 because of staff. They have what seems like a higher turnover!! There are a few MA's that are fantastic as well.. but, the receptionist now that Sue and Trina are gone, just isn't worth it!! My stars are for the Dr and the few MA's that have treated me and my children well. read more

My family has been going to Northpointe for over 23 years! We absolutely love Dr. Foster and Dr. Nadarajah. Both doctors have an excellent bedside manner. Not only do they listen to what you say, they actually remember it. I love the fact that Dr. Foster always remembers my older child, even though he is almost 21. It's not often these days that you can find doctors that are attentive and passionate about what they do. I highly recommend this office for your pediatric needs. read more

I was taking my two boys to this facility for 8 years until I was told without all vaccines we were no longer welcome. Dr. Engel who is not our primary doctor was scheduled for my son's 7 year check-up. He was in the room for possibly 5 minutes when he told me about a new policy that was just started on March 1st that no longer allows families who opt out of vaccines or choose an alternative schedule to be seen at Northpointe. read more

We have been coming to Northpointe for approximately 18 years with all 3 of our children. We have been seen by almost every physician that works there. Our highest recommendations are for Drs. Clark, Nadaraja, Foster, Marchand, as those are whom we have seen on many occasions. We have always appreciated the care received at Northpointe and their ability to get us in when needed! I am a nurse, so I am quite picky on whom I choose for my children's care. read more
