When I gave birth to my second son a few years ago, Dr. El Sabbagh even came to visit me in the hospital. I was impressed because It was unexpected and showed how he cares for his patients. They never pressured me into getting my kids vaccinated or doing anything I wasn't comfortable doing, like previous pediatricians. Dr. El sabbath and his staff always made me feel comfortable and made it easy for me to ask questions. Now that El sabbath has expanded his practice, we no longer see him as much as we use to. We miss him but he has amazing staff and doctors working along side him. They accept walks in and you can almost always schedule a same day appointment. The wait times are generally reasonable, which is a huge plus with little ones. The place is nice and clean. The decor is modern. I would love it if they made the waiting area kid friendly. I believe bright colors and a playful aesthetic would make it feel more like a pediatric office. Overall, I feel confident and comfortable bringing my children here, and I'm grateful for the care we've received.

My eldest daughter had been in a severe accident, suffering life altering injuries and I was raising another child who was disabled. My son was diagnosed as ADHD and had been put on medication. Due to my daughter's accident we had recently moved and I didn't have the resources to get my son to his appointment. I was overwhelmed but he needed his medication! Dr. Alex el Sabbagh wrote a script for my sons medication. The second time I tried to get him to give my son his meds, even with a prior script he made excuses as to why he couldn't. When I requested he contribute a rationalization for not permitting my son to retain his medication. He became irate and belligerent. He began to yell at me in front of his staff. My Aunt was on the phone and heard the commotion, asking who is he speaking to that way. I was immensely embarrassed. I proposed we speak in private which he obliged but not before demanding I hang up my call. I tried depicting my situation to him entailing what I was dealing with, now in tears. He continued to over talk me and spit insults, he declared not to write the script before leaving me in the room. This gets worse unfortunately, when I tried leaving a review on his platform he assumed I was drug seeking. He literally asserted this on his platform. This was slander in its worse form! I was devastated, I felt bullied and discriminated against. I couldn't help but notice that there weren't many people of color in his office and that definitively nobody else was being told no for scripts for their children!

I recently made an appt with a very specific from that needed to be filled out. I went into detail over the phone when making the appt, what we were coming in for. The morning of the appt I received a phone call stating that I needed to call my insurance company and add Brentwood as my Sons PCP. I explained that I had a PPO and had not had a change in my insurance since being last seen there. She told me to contact my insurance company or my visit would be cancelled. I called my insurance and they said that is not a requirement of a PPO (which I already knew) I called Brentwood back and the same girl answered that phone, her attitude was repulsive. I work in healthcare, so I try to kill with kindness. She again told me that it was a requirement and then put me on hold, someone else then picked up with phone and told me it was a mis understanding and I was all set for my appt that afternoon. We arrived to our appt 10 minutes early, We were taken back about 30 minutes after appt time, again, I work in healthcare and waiting does not bother me. I understand emergencies come up that can push patients back. Running late is not held against them! Then a D.O. that We have never seen and is not on the website comes in and immediately says that he will not fill out the form (concussion for MHSAA) He says that it is a liability and he will not sign it. I informed him that is says right on the form that the physician signing hold no liability for clearing the student. Also, at this point we had been seen at trinity, he had a very mild concussion and had been following concussion protocol for 2 weeks and would continue concussion protocol with schools athletic trainer until she sees fit for him to return. MHSAA requires a follow up and clearance of physician to return to play. Dr. Bazzi refused again to sign the form and gave me a CDC "return to school" form that I explained was a waste of time as he had been back to school and MHSAA was a requirement. We left without the form being signed, Myself moving my patients to clear schedule and My son being pulled out of school early only to have to make an appt with another Practice. It is disappointing the amount of turnover within the staff and physicians at Brentwood over the years. It is disappointing that then you call and make an appt with a specific Doc you will be made an appt with whomever. If Dr. Ajay and Lamis could get a good supporting staff, it could be great again
