I expected to need them annually, but they did such a good job we have not seen hide nor hair of a mouse since then. I'm currently using them for an outdoor rat problem. And at that point, no one thought this was a simple DIY project -- what, were we going to smack it down with a baseball bat and run for our lives?!? But we didn't want to use any toxic chemicals -- we have a small dog and there's a daycare right next door with little kids always running around in the yard just downwind. Thankfully there were a number of pest control companies in the area, and when we reached out to several, Green Planet Pest Control responded promptly, answered all our questions, and were able to schedule something within a day or two. The guy who came out to our house wore appropriate protection gear, and got the job done without any toxic chemicals that would've been bad for our dog or kids nearby. He also advised me on what product to get (a fairly pleasant-smelling natural spray with peppermint oil) to keep spraying in the area if I saw any return buildup, that would dissuade the wasps from sticking around. Would 100% recommend.
