So I wish I could say anything good about this company but I cannot…read more To be fair, I sued Brian Getto in small claims court and I didn't present my case well, likely because I didn't prepare my pictures well, and I should have gotten a better contract, but I liked Brian, and he did me wrong when I trusted him and I shouldn't once the job began. He took a job to replace a front door, some screen doors (front and back), and sand and refinish all the woodwork in the house. The first part he did fairly well other than breaking the wood under the door sill and needed to be fixed, but his woodwork is to use a word, pathetic. He used a power sander to strip stained wood to bare, and then realized, hmmm, this won't work, and then when he went to replace the rest of it, he hurried thru it, not even being sure the boards were attached to the wall, He did a horrid job staining the boards and attached boards with obvious defects to the wall (when the were attached at all), and many of the corners are not joined properly. Honestly, its an absolute disaster. He had to cut some boards to fit the baseboards and he even cut them wrong in his hurry to get out of there. Honestly, he priced it wrong, he was in over his head, and I made the mistake of trusting him. Oh, he is NOT registered as a MA home improvement contractor, nor does he carry the required insurances. I have forwarded that to the Attorney General's office.

Originally the insurance company claimed that only half of the roof needed to be replaced, but Chris identified and explained why the damage had been more severe than originally thought. That kind of attention to detail and consultative service is what drew me to work with Millstream and Chris in the first place. In very short order, he had a team at the house and in a single day had completed work. It was so well done that I used them to install gutters on top of the roof work, which was equally as flawless. He offered to pay for the damages caused to my Gutter Helmet. This was replaced on 1/29/20 at the cost of $300. I am impressed by the customer service to handle this in a timely manner. I will now recommend Millstream to others for roofing projects, but just be aware that they might use subcontractors. I hope the company they use will learn from their past mistakes.

Absolute disaster…read more Terrible communication from start to finish. No initial walkaround to establish expectations. No final check out before leaving the job site. Contractor canceled the majority of the work due to lack of 'acceptable' supplies, without my knowledge or consent. The contract should not have been proposed if work could not be completed as promised. Major work was left unfinished (installation of smart thermostat) but still charged for the work on the final bill. Repairs promised as not-noticeable upon completion look absolutely terrible (see photos). My son and I had to help install/mount my 77" TV because only one contractor showed up for the entire $2500 job over the course of four days. This project seemed to be a complete afterthought for Girls 'N Tools. Would not recommend (even for small jobs/maintenance) under any circumstances, whatsoever.
