I've never had any major issues with this practice since being a patient here, but I tend rely on…read morereviews, so I figured I'd mention this, in some small hope this could be included as part of a quality control type of survey. 20 week ultrasound has been scheduled since 6 weeks. As usual, they called me to confirm this appointment. I confirmed and even asked if the office closes due to possible impending snow storm. "We don't cancel or close unless the doctors decide it's too dangerous". Cool, we don't cancel plans unless the same... Appointment day. We get kids ready to bring with us to the 11am appointment since school was cancelled, and yes, it's been snowing since last last night. No big deal. We get there at 11:06 am to check in. We are seated in area D, and it's the only area with people waiting, and packed. Didn't think anything of it and get settled in to wait. 40 mins later, I finally decide to ask about any clue when we will be seen, she says there's only ONE tech today and everyone waiting is waiting on her. Wow. Ok. I talk it over with my crew in tow, when the nice lady at the desk informs me that there's another tech coming in at noon. At this point the other people waiting overhear, and are also becoming impatient. Finally, at about 11:53 (remember appointment was at 11am) I decide to try and reschedule. My thoughts: -I don't mind waiting. But waiting for an hour to be called in for my 11am appointment, for a procedure they warned me lasts 45 minutes, and they told me to be ready with a full bladder for? -no one came out to check unless you went to ask. It sounded to me that everyone else waiting were also guessing as to why and when. Why couldn't they mention at check-in that they are down to one ultrasound tech and it could be a very long wait? I feel like his would save many peoples time and frustration, and gives a baseline expectation. Seems a bit inconsiderate, kind of unprofessional. So we left. Got up on a snow day, to wait an hour in a doctor's office to not be seen. Hopefully tomorrow I actually get seen. And going forward, hopefully some consideration could be exercised with procedure in front office when short staffed and these types of issues arise.

I have become horrified about specimens sent to the wrong lab and the resulting astronomical bill sent to me by that lab. I was recently refused any assistance and hung up on by a nurse. This after praising all of my doctors and nurses over the years. If your staff can't handle me, they can't handle anyone! I am too scared to ever call you or enter your facility ever again!

Garnet Health Medical Center - My own little room in the ER.

I only recommend Garnet Health Medical Center because it's the closest hospital. Their pediatric…read moreand maternity units are great. As for the other departments, it really depends on which doctors and nurses happen to be working that day. Two months ago, my GI doctor sent me to the ER for a STAT CT scan. Even though he called ahead to let them know I was coming, I still had to wait about 3 hours to be seen. Once I was brought back, things moved quickly with a series of tests. Initially, I was placed in a large shared room with about 10 other patients, which was not going to work for me--I'm immunocompromised and very cautious about exposure. Thankfully, they were able to move me to a private room, which made a huge difference in how safe and relaxed I felt. They ran a bunch of tests, diagnosed a GI infection that had spread to my organs, they were supposed to give me IV antibiotics, but they ended up giving me them by mouth instead and monitored me for any allergic reactions before discharging me. I was very clear from the beginning that I have a complex medical history and that I know what I need. I've learned that being my own advocate is the only way to survive in today's healthcare system. The ER doctor even said, "You're really on top of things," and I reminded him, "I told you I would be." This particular visit was a somewhat positive experience--but that doesn't mean everything was ideal. The waiting room itself is honestly filthy, overcrowded, and... a bit scary.... I strongly considered waiting in my car to avoid picking up something else, but staff said I'd miss being called if I did that. It's disappointing that there aren't more accessible facilities in the area for STAT imaging like CTs or MRIs when you have a script and just need urgent outpatient care. That gap in care really needs to be addressed, but I know probably will never be.

Despite atrocious billing issues, the facility itself is great. My wife went for a same day…read moresurgery. Each and every staff member that we encountered was polite and kind, very professional and friendly. The staff were personable and helped to ease concerns or worry. From start to finish we we greeted, spoken to with respect and decency and values as a patient. Great job, Garnet!

Sadly these doctors nowadays do not care about their patients. It's all about money. They walk in…read morethe room with their laptops rushing and reading up on your symptoms just like you did on the Internet before you got there. Then they have the nerve to get upset and tell you don't believe everything on the Internet. Meanwhile, they saying the very same thing the Internet just said. Only difference is the Internet ain't give a huge bill just for information. I'm not even sure if there are any good doctors here but with my experience they look overwhelmed with patients which doesn't allow them to properly care for each patients. My son was sick and the doctor sent him home twice. When we came back a third time she didn't even know who we were meanwhile we just seen her 3 times in one week. Now what does that tell you? We are just a number, a Bill and she is not taking the time to get to know her patients. She had to be asked to do test which came back positive for pneumonia. Meanwhile, she didn't even call us with the results. We had to call the doctor on call. How could she call us when she don't even remember who we were? It's sad because most of the doctors today are not doctors because they love helping people, they are doctors because they think that's where you can make the most money, and because their parents probably told them that's what they need to be to be successful in life. Their work is not coming from the heart so they do nothing from the heart that's why their behavior and actions reflects that. What is also alarming is that there are so many Crystal run healthcare buildings popping up everywhere. It's like they are playing Monopoly buying up the whole board. Anybody that knows about business knows they have to do their due diligence first, they have to check their demographics, and do their research before they open a business to make sure it will be profitable. The numbers must show that the business is in a good location and will be profitable. So Why so many Crystal Run buildings? They know we are heading into a future of a lot of sick people. From the GMO cancerous food, The polluted water to even the polluted air we breathe. What do they know that we don't know? Anyway the main point here is this is becoming more about business and money and less and less about patient's health. Finding a doctor who truly care in today's time is hard to fine. Doesn't mean they're not out there but I don't think that they are at Crystal run healthcare. Their model seems to be let me hurry up look on my laptop at your symptoms write you a prescription hurry up and get you out of here so I can move onto the next patient, bill you and forget you ever existed. And by the way make sure your credit card is on file or else we won't even see you. Sorry those are the new policies. They want access to your money immediately. Money first your health last.
