Also I was informed up front of the cost which was very good and luckily thanks to my insurance too im sure. Anyways delivering here was so much cheaper than in San Francisco, like 5 times cheaper ! Finally the nurse and doctor helped me file my California state disability on time even tho they are very busy. Final comment: Baby and I are doing very well.

The maps were confusing on what the location was because they are near a bunch of other offices. I finally found the plaza and was waiting for 5 minutes for the elevator because it wasn't working. I can't take the stairs because I just hurt my knee. Aside from the fact that they aren't shown on the digital display downstairs yet, their office is around a corner and not easily visible. I got a text at 9:56 saying I missed my 9:45 appointment, even though it hasn't gone past the 15 minute grace period they've ALWAYS had in place for years. I walk in not even one minute later apologizing for being late and explain I couldn't find their office. (Which by the way, aside from their address, they provided no explanation or insight as to where the new location was, not even when I scheduled on the phone and I didn't know to ask because I thought it was going to be an external building like it was before.) The receptionist tells me that because I am late, I need to reschedule my appointment. I ask why if it hasn't been even fifteen minutes yet, let alone past the fifteen minutes. She says she knows but they have no wiggle room because they are booked. But the fifteen minutes is the wiggle room? So I dont understand. I live in McKinney and have to take tolls to get here. I just wasted PTO, time, money, and gas. I have been coming here for THIRTEEN years. I have referred plenty friends and family, who are still patients of theirs. I didn't recognize this receptionist because she is not who I usually see, so she must be new since I last came a year ago, or a different staff member that wasn't usually the receptionist. I say this because the usual receptionist was always very kind to me and warm and enthusiastic, which this one was not. I have never been late or missed an appointment or cancelled/no showed in those thirteen years and have always given plenty notice to reschedule, except for maybe once or twice when I started my period the day of and they asked me to reschedule because it would interfere with the pap smear results, and even then I called first thing in the morning to ask what I should do. I'm extremely upset. There was not a single person there or waiting, and no next appointment had arrived, so it makes no sense why I couldn't be taken back if they have my insurance. ID, and pre check in paper work on file. There was absolutely no reason why I couldn't have been taken back, ESPECIALLY since I was within the grace period. It is so upsetting and disappointing that the management is willing to lose a patient over 11 minutes. She had already decided before I even walked in that I had missed my appointment. At the TEN minute mark. She didn't bother asking a nurse or checking with the doctor, or seeing what she could do. Not ONCE. Mind you over the last thirteen years, Dr. Fong has run late because of deliveries, emergency appointments, and other issues and not once have I EVER complained or rushed them. I have been patient. It is such a shame because I love my doctor so much and I hate having to end a relationship of thirteen years with him due to poor, un empathetic staff. I used to rave about this office for years and have left reviews years after years. Well now Doctor Fong, because of your receptionist, not only have you lost one patient, but you will be losing several others as well. I will be informing every single family and friend I have referred to longer come to this office. Please do not come here anymore, they seem to not care about their patients anymore or care about wasted time. I even explained to her I had already taken time off when she asked if I could come in Friday instead, and she still did not care. We will take our business elsewhere. Sorry I could not say goodbye in person Dr. Fong, but as I am sure you read these reviews, please know it was not you nor your nurses, but rather your front staff. She also showed me how to help my wife through contractions with spinning babies techniques and and once my wife got an epidural she was even more pro active then the nurses in making sure my wife was constantly being switched from one side to another. These movement changes helped to to optimize our baby's positioning and also to make sure my wife didn't get blood clots. She is all about the details such as setting the ambiance of the room with lights and a diffuser. I can go on and on. I have never felt so dismissed or dehumanized by a medical office…read more After driving over an hour to this appointment, I arrived just 9 minutes late--within what I understood to be the office's grace period. Instead of compassion or even a conversation, the receptionist immediately canceled my appointment. Her demeanor was cold, hostile, and completely lacking empathy. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that my physician had personally assured me I would not be dismissed from the practice. Instead, I was terminated as a patient with no continuity of care, no referral or transition plan, and my requests for my medical records have been refused. For over 20 years, I've lived with severe pelvic pain while searching for answers. A women's health clinic should be a place where women feel heard, supported, and cared for--not discarded over a matter of minutes. Healthcare policies are one thing. The complete absence of compassion is another. This experience has left me feeling abandoned at one of the most vulnerable points in my healthcare journey. Sadly, this has been another deeply disappointing experience with medical care in the DFW area. I sincerely hope no other patient--especially one living with chronic pain--has to experience the same treatment.

We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. Ladies, please don't be fearful! Our bodies were created for this. Should a hospital transfer be desired or necessary, there is always a plan B and C for those scenarios. They have solutions for everything and did so well educating me on health, nutrition, my body, pregnancy, and the delivery process. Every part of my experience with them felt intentional and thoughtful, from the amazing childbirth classes with Brooke, to their newborn specialist Diana who was such a huge support after delivery. Anita was always so helpful and kind as well. I always felt listened to, never rushed, and like I mattered to them. They went above and beyond for me in ways I'll never forget, and because of them I had not just one, but two of the most beautiful birth experiences I could have EVER imagined.
