The corners in the back looked like they had never been cleaned. Because of the mattress, remember therapy only three hours a day and the other 22 in bed, our loved one has needed extensive chiropractic care because of that. PAM care is poor. I don't know what else to say. Therapy was just nothing - on a child's level. No aggressive therapy. They say if it hurts don't do it. If you went by that philosophy a person would remain an invalid. You know, everyone - literally everyone is just going through the motions and can't wait until it's time to go home. If you don't have someone who can stay with your loved one at least 12 hours, I pity your loved one. Many things will not get done for them. Also, and this is very important - the most important thing is that they offer no financial assistance to anyone - no one!! Most hospitals have "charity care" for those under the federal government 200% poverty level. But NOT PAM. They receive every penny from insurance and still want more. I have never seen such a greedy, non-caring hospital like this one. Now I know why the care was poor. They are vastly understaffed - they save money there. The hospital is not clean - they save money there. Staff almost offended if you ask for help - could be poor wages and they are saving money there. Someone's making a killing! Oh, one plus for them. The only clean thing there is the entry hallway. It shines like a diamond, but the rest of the place - not so much. I don't know if it is a non-profit or profit classified hospital but they do not - absolutely refuse to help the poor with any financial assistance whatsoever. I remember one man who walked the entry way hall a lot, greeting people, saving how's thing going and all that - like he really cared. What a farce! From every thing we saw, a few people are making a fortune, the rest not so much which is why you get mediocre care at P.A.M. Rehabilitation Hospital of Allen, Texas.

I thought this place would be nice for my father who just needed more therapy after breaking his hip and fracturing his neck. It was quite and seemed clean. However it turned out to be a nightmare. One incident my dad said he had to go to the bathroom and waited an hour and 10 minutes in a dirty diaper before anyone came. There was no communication between the rehab and nurses so asking for an update about how he did in therapy revealed nothing. If I asked I was told I had to ask the physical therapy which was only there 8-4 Monday through Friday. I had called and left a message for the administrator and never got called back. I had watched a people be really condescending to their residents. I would not recommend this facility ever.

Bad experience just trying to get my mom into this place…read more After calling for almost 2 weeks and finally getting a call back, I was instructed to have a letter faxed to the them from my mom's doctor. Two days later, the letter was sent. I called, emailed, texted trying to reach someone (3 different people) to verify the letter was received and what we needed to do next. No response, no return calls/emails. Today, I call and ask to speak to the director. He apologizes and said he would look into it and have the admissions person contact me. Sure enough, 10 minutes later, she calls. She confirms she received the letter. However, she says they don't have space for my mother and, likely wouldn't have space in the near future. She says they admitted 5 people Friday and 6 on Saturday. So, they admitted people and gave away my mother's spot while I was trying and trying to reach them and they wouldn't respond? Or, because I called the boss and complained you weren't responding, you tell me there is no open space??? Either way, great business practices!!! I can't speak to the patient care because we never got there. I guess if you can get someone to communicate and actually help you, they may be ok. I'm counting this as a sign that mom didn't need to be placed here anyway. Good luck! **Just an FYI, the 5 star review on here from John R. is the director of Belterra! I guess he had to self-rate to bump up their ratings by adding a 5 star to the average!

I see a lot of negative reviews, and all I can say is, don't check in here and expect a 3-5 day stay. prepare for 10 days, as that is standard. Other than that, anytime I had an issue with another patient, my medication, or if I was in pain, it was PROMPTLY handled right then and there. I was treated with the upmost dignity and respect by all staff and nurses. I even had fun banter with most of the techs and therapists I had! I went in very reclusive and a bit scared, and by day 3, I was a pro and laughing and socializing as normal. I felt good and cared for. Nurse Chris, Nurse Constance, Tech Javier, Tech Sara and Tech Henry (Trey) were my all time favs and made my stay warm, welcome, and they treated me like a human being, not just a patient. Therapists Brittany, Jordan, and Nitin changed my life for the better in more ways then one. I can't thank them enough. and Dr. Khan heard my concerns and prescribed me medications that WORK with me and my lifestyle. (wells unit was the best!) My only gripe is the discharge. I feel as though they need to make absolutely SURE that the doctor you are going to see for outpatient has made an appointment for you before you are discharged, because the doctor I was going to see through them wasn't taking anymore new patients! :( Other then that, while I hope I never see them again (haha) I wish them all the best and I owe them a ton! Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, my interactions with Helen P., who oversees intern and practicum placement communication, were extremely disappointing. Over the course of several weeks, I made multiple attempts to follow up through email, phone calls, and voicemails regarding placement information and next steps. While I understand people can become busy, the level of communication I experienced felt unprofessional and dismissive from a prospective intern's perspective. On one occasion, Helen P. briefly answered my call and stated she would respond to my email the following week because then wasn't a good time, but I never received a follow-up. After continued attempts to communicate, I still received little to no response. As someone pursuing clinical training opportunities, I believe professionalism, responsiveness, and clear communication are incredibly important. Unfortunately, this experience did not leave a positive first impression, and based on my experience, I would not recommend Carrollton Springs to prospective interns or practicum students seeking a supportive and communicative placement site.
