It needed a power source and battery, parts which my SD pc gearhead said were unavailable. Timing was critical in that I had a huge legal assignment due and the laptop was simply dying every time I turned it on. I had tried to fix in San Diego before I left, but my schedule was bonkers and I'd been told the problem wasn't fixable. I came to Truckee hoping that the laptop would last long enough for me to finish my assignment. It didn't -- what flickered in the Southwest terminal at Lindbergh went black in Truckee -- and I was pretty desperate. Sierra Tahoe Computer had the parts, plus an Enter key which I'd long given up on. Thanks to their inventory and spectacular customer service, I was out their door and into the sleet with a healthy laptop in under 30 minutes. Reasonable price and they saved my sanity, laptop and GPA! Thank you, Eric (the owner) and Germano (techie).

The original…read morehard drive was showing signs of age and the general consensus of the on-line support community was to transition to Windows11 with the purchase a new computer. "Do I purchase a new car simply because the tires are worn?" is my perspective. The level of communication demonstrated by Noah and Cerita was unexpected and refreshing for this first-time customer. I explained what I expected needed attention and received a couple of solid pricing options given the age of the equipment and my general computing needs. Not all of the replacement parts were available at one time, so the team was able to stage the repair such that I had a working system in my possession while waiting for the final item to arrive. I am confident that my friends and family would receive a similar positive experience and therefore would recommend the Credo Technology team with 5 stars.

On May 14, 2026, I called Reno Computer Fix in desperation because after transferring data from our…read moreold computer to a new one, and working with several other tech services, I still did not have Microsoft Outlook installed correctly on our new computer. Without going into too much boring detail, my husband and I have an unusual email/Outlook configuration - same email address, two formats, three devices, etc., and I had lost all my Outlook folders - arrgh! I requested a home visit so I would have all the information that might be needed at hand. Within a few hours, owner Justin returned my call and said he would be at my home the next morning. He showed up on time, patiently listened to my non-tech explanation of our Outlook goals, and went right to work. With expert tech skills on his side and held breath on my side, and both of us occasionally crossing our fingers, Justin worked his magic and Outlook was configured for our needs (even better than it had been before) and I got all my Outlook folders back - YAY! The visit lasted two hours - about one hour was for the Outlook concern and the other hour was filled with small fixes and reorganizations that most 12-year-olds could manage but that I either did not know how to do or was afraid of the consequences if I tried. The price was very reasonable and the work was excellent. If you need help with anything computer-related, contact Reno Computer Fix first. Justin was able to fix what three other tech businesses could not.
