I am in the process of moving out of town. and a few days back my computer stopped charging. I needed my computer to work so I went to Computer Crew and told them my situation with moving. I was told my computer's cord and adapter was bad because my computer and cord /adapter were 9 years old. They sold me a new cord/adapter for $56, and charged me $30 for looking at my computer for 10 minutes. I could have bought a new cord/adapter online or at another store for around $20-$30 dollars, without being charged to have my computer checked out. I would not recommend Computer Crew as they take advantage of people and excessively overcharge for their sales and services. read more

The only downside of this business is the dog; they animal needs some serious corrective brain surgery or shock therapy. Or maybe some faith-inducing machine from the Spanish inquisition... OK, let's try a CAT with attitude on him! A real big one that is half Siamese and half bobcat who will take possession of the food bowl! Otherwise, I have been there several times with various computer issues, and always came away with my problem fixed for a fair price? How often do you find that in these times? They really know what they are doing, I have high confidence in them and will continue to use their services as problems arise. But the dog is NOT nice. read more

Hello was going around town to find a really good computer for cheap many other computer store were expensive for old tech but for the first time I entered computer crew it's small and cute dog I was able to find a gaming computer with amazing specs had the cpu fan motherboard case ram and power supply and only paid 120 for a really awesome set up I highly recommend this place and Jerry is a very nice guy as well. read more

When my old computer died, Jerry was in the process of refurbishing another computer that he planned on later selling. I decided to go ahead and purchase it when he was done refurbishing it. The computer was ready when he said it would be and the final price (which included some parts, diagnostics, etc to test the old one) came in a bit under the price that was originally quoted and was very reasonable. Jerry was extremely helpful with his recommendations and he even helped me re-install Quickbooks successfully before I left the shop. He's an all-around great guy and I would highly recommend anyone with computer/software issues or anyone in the market for a new or refurbished computer check out Computer Crew before going to one of the Big Box stores. Both times I've been there my laptop only needed the problem diagnosed, and after diagnostics, they refused to charge me anything. This kind of attitude is exactly what I look for in a business. He told me exactly how to treat my computer over the phone and then I immediately took took my computer to their shop in Carson City. I really want to thank Computer Crew for taking such great care of my friends. My friends had a 12 year old computer that crashed and they didn't know what to do. They had several files and pictures they were afraid were lost forever. Everyone was giving them all kinds of advice on what to do, where to go, what kind of computer to purchase, etc. My friends laughed when I told them they don't sell the big towers anymore, the computers now are about 1/10th the size. I told her how much help Karen and Jerry at Computer Crew always are for me and recommended that they ask them for help. My friends went and met with Karen and Jerry and were so happy with them. I strongly recommend you skip this PC Repair shop. Mr. Jolicoeur (Jerry) requires too much babysitting and becomes a passive aggressive teenager if you question his intent or ability. I have also spent much money there and have found he is not competitive; rather, engages in price gouging. Don't let the rushing around his shop fool you, he employs terrible time management. He ain't that busy but, he sure wants you to believe that. Carson City has several other pc repair shops. Save yourself some grief, check them out first. read more
