I have referred two people to this storage because they give you a discount for first 3 months, but now I regret it. First of all on the website it states that you can get discount on rent for referrals, which I have never received. Then the website states that they invested in advanced surveillance system to keep your belongings safe, but this is a lie as well. My referral had their tool trailer broken into, then their brand new travel trailer was vandalized and door is damaged from someone trying to break in. No surveillance footage for either insurance wont help nor will the storage management for their negligence. Then my other referral was in the unit less than 30 days and had insurance through the storage company. The roof had leaked and destroyed her furniture. Come to find out the whole row of units in her row had leaking roof and insurance will not cover that damage either. I do not recommend this storage unless plan on having it for a very short time to save a half months rent. read more

Horrible!!! Absolutely DO NOT rent a unit from them! The manager Heather has been caught at least twice cutting off renters locks to steal belongings, then replacing with same/similar locks. The owners just look the other way when it's been brought to their attention. Appalling. Price is above average rate too. Do Not Rent from North Star Storage! read more

Drivers will take packages for all of the different contractors working in the area and dump them at one office trailer location MILES down the road and either a.) forge signatures of who the delivery was addressed to, b.) take a picture of proof of delivery up so close that you cannot determine where it was delivered, or c.) just drop off the package and note on the "received by" portion of the tracking that they dropped it off at a completely different company (that is labeled nowhere on the shipping information UPS has). We have attempted calling customer service and have gotten nowhere besides getting routed to automated call centers with no apparent way to resolve the issue. Could not be less impressed with the level of service and really wish there was a way to contact UPS to try and work with them to resolve the issue.
