Though review to write. The Doctor and exam were great! The billing process was, and 2 years later is still, a nightmare. I was told my Medicare covered the exam. Upon completion of the exam I was told I owed an additional $200, actually $400 because my wife also was tested. Fast (?) forward 1 year and I recieve a bill for $200 for my wife's exam, thatt I already paid for, but no bill for my identical procedure. Contacted their office and was told billing would contact me later that week. 6 months later got a second bill. I will spare you the rest but the short version is 2 years + after the exam North Side has recieved payments from Medicare, me, and from my insurance carrier. I shoud have recieved a refund from North Side because I paid a balance that my insurance company covered. I don't expect a refund but do expect to receive another bogus bill in a few months. read more

I took my 92 year old mother to see Dr Daria for hearing test and to get hearing aids for both ears. She was very patient with my mom, explained all she was going to do and then explained all the results. She is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. Highly recommend her. Everyone in her office is so nice and professional. The office was also very sanitary. read more

The North Side Audiology Group, while already mysterious due to their complete lack of reviews, turned out to be just a huge scam. Though they are in my insurance network, and though the insurance did in fact cover the cost of a hearing aid, they insisted that I pay the cost upfront by taking out a medical credit card. Since paying upfront, my insurance paid out the full cost to the North Side Audiology Group, and when I inquired about receiving my insurance money back, they continue to tell me that they are still "processing" my payment for what is now well over the number of days they can withhold the money. The NSAG are thieves, scammers, and I will take every action to ensure that this company is held accountable for their scam. read more

I have been going to Northside Audiology for at least 20 years. They have always given me the time required to get a good fit/setting. Also I like that they sell any number of brands, trying to get the best fit for my unusual hearing loss. I would highly recommend them. I have tried others but they are the best. read more

For some reason Yelp keeps removing my unfavorable review of this business. They have more than one location. The location I visited was at Advocate Humana on 99th and Western. The Audiologist was terrible. She charged for services that she didn't provide. Please Don't go there. They're only interested in getting money out of you. Beware!!! read more

From my first tiny, completely-in-the-canal hearing aids to the much higher amplification now required, I have received the best hearing programs, at the best prices, each step of the way. Most importantly, my satisfaction is the bottom line here. Sometimes that means repeat visits, at no additional cost, to adjust the instruments or fine-tune the settings. Sometimes it requires sending an instrument back to the maker for needed corrections. Sometimes consulting on the phone with manufacturers' designers about technical issues. Even arranging for a manufacturers' rep to meet with me in the North Side office for a fuller explanation of what's behind today's technical wizardry, and a look at what tomorrow's technology may offer. Beware!! $75 consultation fees never mentioned. I made an appointment to learn about their program and get their recommendation on the best hearing aids for my hearing level. I am there to purchase hearing aids which cost a whole lot of money. I already had an audiology test and furnished the results to them. On a lark at the beginning of our meeting I asked the doctor if there is a charge for this meeting. "Yes, $75." Wait a minute. They charge $75 to make a sales pitch to sell me some sell super expensive hearing aids and they never mention the $75 fee until I ask about it? Pretty slick, just like a slippery slope. Makes me wonder what other hidden fees lie ahead? Three other locations offered complimentary consultation on the type of hearing aid that would be best for me and presented their programs - no fee. I thought the hearing test was good. However, i cancelled my hearing aid order. I made the appointment originally because north side is in my network and because they pursued me. I read the reviews on Yelp and wasn't surprised by the hard sell once I got there. I also wasn't surprised that the audiologist told me the company would retain $75 of my $100 deposit, saying now that it was a consulting fee. At the time, it was a deposit. She called after I cancelled. The consultation she was referring to was telling me to buy a particular brand. Period. I told her I was disappointed by that decision and hoped she would reconsider. She said it wasn't up to her. That surprised me. There is no price list or brand comparisons. I also waited an hour before being seen - or heard. This office is not independent so it's difficult for me to know if the hearing aid being recommended is better for me or better for the office. I had a great experience at Costco two years ago. I misplaced those hearing aids and Costco is not in my network. My insurance will pay $2000 toward hearing aids. But North Side recommended a pair that would cost me an additional $1600. I will continue to shop around. But for that out-of-pocket money I could go back to Costco. The audiologist also expressed surprise that I liked my hearing aid experience at Costco.
