She did a full assessment and ordered an MRI to make sure my fall had done additional damage. In March, I was sure I was on the brink of losing my job because I'd be able to perform at that level again and I was depressed. Dr Bass assured me I'd recover and was upfront about how long might it take given my condition went undiagnosed for six weeks. (thank you UW MADISON). She gave me non-narcotic med for the headache which also helped the depression and recommended two therapies. Over the next 4 months she worked closely with my therapy team in Madison, WI. Making regular checkin calls. I traveled to Chicago for probably 6 appointments with her and her team. They recognized me immediately when I walked in & I treated me and all of the patients like VIPs. A special shout out to Iris who dealt with my work's HR system - I huge task. I chose Dr. Weiler as my physician upon moving to Chicago 7 years ago and every time I see her I…read moremarvel at what a truly great choice that was. This time it was an injury to my arm. I misjudged the weight of a crate and ouch, that hurt. I assumed it was a simple muscle strain, but I'm no physician. Dr. Weiler, however, recognized my symptoms as consistent with a more serious injury and, thanks to her and her very professional staff, I had an X-ray, an MRI and saw a specialist, all within four days of my initial visit with her. There's no way I could've achieved all these appointments on my own. It's only because of Dr. Weiler and her staff that I got in to see a specialist that very same week. UPDATE: Within 10 days of that first appointment with Dr. Weiler, I learned I'd suffered a 95-percent separation of my bicep, and had the surgery necessary to correct it. Yes. All within 10 days. If not for Dr. Weiler, the injury I mistook for a simple strain could've very easily become so severe that even surgery wouldn't have been an option. Besides that, the specialist to whom she referred me was among the best of the best. Another win for Dr. Weiler. She's got a lot of those.

Dr Dima is generally very sweet but when I came to her with bad and persistent shoulder pain, I ask if she'd advise physical therapy, as I assumed that would be the best first step. She told me we should wait and see if medication would help. When it didn't help, I went back. She asked if I had started physical therapy and when I told her I hadn't, she smiled at me and told me (I felt with condescension) that this would ideally be where I would start with treatment. When I told her ~she was the reason I hadn't~ she pivoted. Saying "ah yes that's right" and moving on. I have been charged for appointments that I had already payed for. I have waited hours and hours for an appointment I was scheduled for. I have been asked to come in to renew prescriptions that I had not run out of refills on. I will not be returning to them.
