Walmart is conveniently located near the Līhuʻe Airport, which was my first stop coming into the island. I was intrigued by the idea of browsing and purchasing a good variety of Hawaiian snacks. I was truly impressed by the offerings, such as Milk Chocolate Island Macs, Hawaiian Sun drinks, Kauaʻi Coffee, Maui Style Potato Chips, Hawaiian 3D candy, and much more. The store was well-stocked and easy to navigate. In the afternoon, the inside was very busy with many shoppers, which is understandable since this is the only Walmart on the island of Kauaʻi. The parking lot had plenty of spaces, making parking easy and stress-free. I also noticed roosters roaming around; how adorable! I will definitely be returning to this Walmart location. I plan to pick up more snacks and souvenirs that I don't normally find back home in California, or in most parts of the U.S., for that matter.

Sorry Gigi, guess you're just gonna get another fridge magnet this year cause that's all I can fit. ;) Anyways... So there we were, once again on the beautiful Island of Kauai... And suddenly my wife remembered she needed something and said "let's go to Target in Lihue, I just want to pick up a couple of things." I of course, knew exactly what that meant... "Just a couple of things" would ultimately turn into a "cart full of stuff." Of course, you can bank on it that every single Target trip will either start or end at their in-store Starbucks. So there we were, walking around the Target in Lihue, Kauai approximately 2,600 miles from home... She picked up the things she originally came in for, grabbed a few snacks for the kids, and decided to get some ingredients to make a few meals back at our condo. But then as we continued walking down the aisles, something caught her eye. We were in the back to school section and she was like... "aww look how cute these lunch bags are for the girls lunches when they start school! Oh and they have matching containers for their school snacks too, we need these!" Mind you... It was the middle of summer. We were on an island. On Vacation. In Paradise. But there we were, shopping for lunch bags. At Target. So I said to my wife... "Lunch Bags?" "Shouldn't we just get these at our Target back home?" "Plus, we don't have room in the suitcases" My wife, "I think you have some space in yours" Needless to say, our girls are rocking their new lunch bags thanks to Dad ;) Ok, I'm being a little dramatic, but hopefully you can relate and enjoyed my little tale. But know that those memes you've seen about going to Target for a few things, but land up with a cart full of stuff are Real! Hey, I'm not gonna lie, some of the stuff in the cart is mine too! So what makes this Target stand out? Well for one... The parking lot has chickens and roosters just chillen out front. Of course, this target has all things Hawaiian and you can definitely find some great local merchandise and gifts that you can't get at your local Target location. The store is well stocked, clean and there are plenty of staff to assist. So.... The next time you travel to Kauai... Fella's, I recommend leaving a little space in your suitcase for that "spontaneous" Target run; your wife will appreciate you! Mahalo from the Mainland!

I was descaling all over the island not finding any pharmacy they could help. Then I called Lifeway. The pharmacist told me to come up and that she had everything. And she did. She told me exactly what to do and what medicine to use if the initial medication did not work. Excellent!

The place that we love to shop for all necessities is here at Long's, which is now owned by CVS hence the biz name here on Yelp but here in Hawai'i it will always be known as Long's. A place to stock up on the various wants and needs of our daily needs are found here through the weekly Sunday ads keeping it cost friendly for generations along with shopping for gifts and celebrations are found here and being miles away from town I'm sure is the place for many locals shop. Parking here is amazing in comparison from the general Haleiwa location is never gonna be a problem lots of free parking regardless the size of your car and though the roof seemed to be suffering from the recently downpour of rain hoping it all can get fixed so that we can continue to appreciate the staff and what it has to offer this community. It's rather convenient but a little more expensive due to the touristy area. It's my go to for prescriptions, vaccinations and other health care options. The entire staff here is friendly and they work so hard keeping the lines moving. They've added the new self checkouts but many aren't ready for that yet. So you still see the long lines. I love the self check out. If you're headed to the beach and need supplies and drinks, stop by your local CVS in Haleiwa.

This place is a pharmacy that happens to sell some other sundries like shampoo, bandaids, tissues and the like. I had a wicked sunburn/wind burn on my lips and asked the pharmacist for some suggestions on what to use. He recommended a couple of ointments that worked quickly to soothe my chapped mout. I also found the insect repellent I needed for our trip to the Kupi Ranch and was satisfied with my purchase. Keep this place in mind for a quick stop if you need some medical supplies while out in Eleele.
