If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Parents please stay away from this place. They will push hours and refuse to cut hours even if it's too much for your child. Literally because we wanted to reduce hours for the benefit of my son they told us we would be "discharged". This was after frequent SIB and a neurologist suggesting to cut hours. This is after giving them over 7,000 dollars. They refused to work with us or even try to reduce hours! Also BCBA came here on Fridays for a hour and did nothing but try to push hours and talk. She was supposed to be helping us with daily living skills and she did none of that. We wasted about 8 or 9 months there and lots of $$. Stay away from Karen the BCBA and this whole place. They care about money not what is best for the child read more

Very unfortunately, I must update my review for NSPT to one star. I've used them for 4 years and have never been charged a cancellation fee. My daughter had to suddenly cancel telehealth therapy to be tested for COVID and they charged me $50 for that. I very politely and respectfully asked them to waive this one cancellation fee with agreement to be as careful as possible to not miss appointments in the future, and they refuse. (My daughter does therapy 5 days a week, so it is incredibly difficult to not ever miss a therapy visit with less than 24 hours notice.) My two children have done intensive therapy with them 5 days a week since late 2016 (see my earlier review). We have been faithful and supportive clients and have gone along with all of the COVID-related changes without complaining or arguing. I'm just aghast that they don't value their relationship with us after all this time, that in the middle of a pandemic, this is the hill they choose to die on. read more

Went here for at least 9 years, and achieved so many wonderful things, the therapists are Angels on Earth. The management is totally atrocious. Could care less how much money you spend, when you get in some difficulty they kick you out, and sick the absolute rudest collectors on you. The calls wouldn't stop, at least 15 a day, after filling bankruptcy. They told me I was part of their family. I am so glad to have a divorce. grrr read more

One star is way too much for this place. I have a 9 year old boy going to NSPT for anxiety related issues and he seems to be doing better. I think that the improvement is due to his continued success at school, and him seeing the hard work paying off. I really have little to no faith that this place is doing anything for him. His therapist is very slow to follow through on what she says she will do. She promised to contact my little boy's teacher and after two and a half months it was finally done (I had to give her several reminders along the way). The only reason we keep going back is due to my wife feeling that maybe something is working. I think she gives those people way too much credit. The billing process has also been a huge issue. The person doing the billing seems completely incompetent. She completely fouled up my son's billing and I cannot even get a hold of her supervisor to discuss it. My wife called up to talk to the billing person and she would not get on the phone to discuss the issue. Save youyrself a lot of headaches and take your kids somewhere else. This place is more trouble than it's worth. read more

There are so many issues with this place - ridiculous turn over, rude management, and not so clean conditions at their Glenview location. We stayed there because we had been there for almost a decade between two of our kids and often had 2 children attending at the same time. Recently, due to COVID, our sessions were on zoom. We had several connection issues and the platform they are using is not the best. Our child seemed to be making improvements and so we just kept on going. Recently, we had scheduling conflicts and just a lot of other life issues happening. We had an issue with an appointment - my son got online late for several reasons. The therapist had contacted us via email - never called. When we saw the email he got online within minutes but she had already marked him as a no show and wouldn't see him Because "they can't bill for less than 30 minutes" and "she couldn't stay late" - we were the last appt of the day and she would have had to stay 7 minutes late to fill the 30 minute quota. This resulted in a 50 dollar late fee. I spoke to the therapist - and then the clinic manager - and I got nothing but patronizing and condescending comments such as "I understand you're angry" and "I'm a woman of principal" too (haha). We have decided to move on to a different clinic that is more flexible and treats their clients with more understanding and empathy - not a place just out to cycle through as many kids as possible. There are many other options on the area and this place is not worth the hassle. I wish we had left years ago. Thanks read more

When our then just turned one girl began at NSPT in April, she wasn't walking and barely rolling over. She was refusing the appropriate table foods, and mainly bottle fed. Thanks to her physical therapist, via both weekly office visits and get suggested at home routine, by August, she was up and walking. It is now six months later, and we can barely catch her when she takes off. We've gotten detailed progress reports all along the way. As for the feeding, the therapy was invaluable in terms of types of foods, tricks, and techniques. We have since discontinued the feeding therapy, as after the first few months, what we learned has been effective and she has been eating the appropriate foods, and it now depends on her tastes. Personal relationships were built between she and both therapists. Her big sister, who's always along for the ride seems to know the whole crew as well. One thing that I've noticed that some people don't get is that these are therapists, each with an area of expertise. This being said, they are not physicians. They can offer insight and advice regarding your child's progress, but they are not licensed to provide a medical diagnosis. Further concerns should be addressed with your pediatrician. If there's one blemish, it's the parking situation. They share a fairly small parking lot with other offices in the building. While their is some street parking, when you're lugging in one or more children and infants, and the associated supplies, it's quite a pain. It's too bad, as right behind the office is the parking lot for something (auto shop?) that's always vacant, but parking there is prohibited. That part is by no means NSPT's fault, but it's too bad that they can't buy out a portion of that lot. read more

1 star is solely for their billing system it is completely whack, unless you have unlimited funds set aside to pay out of pocket until you hit your deductible, and IF your health insurance will even cover services, it is next to impossible to A: receive billing notices before you are charged automatically B: use an HSA to pay your account C: they threaten to send you to collections for a bill less than 30 days due when you haven't even received a notice. I feel bad for the therapists providing the service because they do an important job, but now understand their high turnover rate. read more

Sarah Friedman was excellent and made a huge difference in our daughter's life. I was so nervous about finding the right therapist for my daughter. I knew I made the right decision just by talking to the friendly staff. We were so incredibly lucky to have Sarah assigned to us. Sarah was so flexible and professional. She came to our daycare center twice a week for 9 months straight. She was always on time and was proactive in scheduling around the holidays. Since we were not at the appointments, she made sure to keep us informed through email and even sent us pictures and videos to document our daughter's progress. I can not thank her enough for the time and attention that she spent with us and our little girl. She made sure that we got her the right shoes and gave us helpful tips along the way. She even came to our home when the daycare center was closed. We were so fortunate to have her in our lives. My daughter is very strong willed so Sarah was constantly thinking of ways to make the exercises fun. While it was extra money for us to work with this practice, it was the best decision that we made. I couldn't imagine a better group. Thank you again Sarah. We will never forget the difference you made in our daughter's life. read more

Zoe and the team at North Shore Pediatric Therapy is amazing! Before we were referred to Zoe, we went to a few feeding specialists without success -- our infant could not drink from a bottle. Zoe quickly identified our daughter's problem and found workable solutions. Our kiddo has made amazing progress during a couple of short months! Zoe is knowledgeable, kind, and funny. She makes our baby and us parents feel comfortable and supported. We are so appreciative to have found her! I can not recommend Zoe and North Shore Pediatric Therapy highly enough. read more

My son has been going to NSPT for the past six months. We are more than pleased with the behavioral therapist and the support staff in the clinic. They have been very helpful with insurance too. Unlike previous reviews, posted here, we have not had any billing issues or attempts to increase business. My son enjoys going to therapy and is making excellent progress. All of the therapist are very good. My only issue with the place is parking. The parking lot is very small and in the afternoon it is difficult to find a parking spot. read more

One of my kids goes here and they do an excellent job and genuinely care about the kids and improving their lives. I'm consistently impressed by the staff and the facilities. All top notch. I'm honestly shocked by the poor reviews for this place so had to add my experience. From my very first call to them, they have been nothing but accommodating and helpful. Our pediatrician recommended we speak with Zoe, their feeding specialist, after seeing a lactation consultant, pediatric ent and even a cranial sacral therapist to try and resolve our daughters feeding issues. Zoe called me back the same day I called the office, despite the fact that she wasn't even working that day (she called from home). She got us in the next day and, more importantly, immediately and correctly diagnosed the issue. I was suspicious about billing issues given the reviews below but someone from their billing department reached out to my insurance after our first appointment and (proactively) emailed me detailing my coverage. My only complaint about the practice is that there is seldom parking available in their lot, but you can park on the residential street they neighbor. All in all they have been wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them (well, the front office and Zoe - haven't worked with any other therapists) read more

North Shore Pediatric Therapy has been so helpful in helping me get my son on the right track with school. He went into kindergarten slightly behind his classmates and with the tips and tricks the therapists gave me to help him with his name writing and handwriting he quickly caught on, and was writing his own name in less than a week! I also appreciate the advice from the social work team on addressing some of his behavior concerns and giving me techniques and methods to help him and his teacher in the classroom. All of the therapist's are very friendly and helpful. I really feel that they have my child's best interest at heart and am so pleased with progress he is making. My life is getting easier because of the help they are giving my child and the support they are giving me! I cannot say enough good things about North Shore Pediatric Therapy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for help with their child. read more

My daughter has been receiving occupational therapy at NSPT for more than a year, and her results have been outstanding. Not only have we seen a near-complete turn-around in her struggles, but she truly enjoys her weekly sessions and adores her therapist. North Shore Pediatric Therapy is amazing. They assessed my child and realized he was struggling with gross and fine motor skills. To get him to where he needed to be to start kindergarten his therapist Rachel Trost worked hard with him and got him to achieve his goals. The best thing about them is he LOVES to go. He calls it the play doctor and looks forward to the days he goes. They have the best Occupational therapists in Illinois! read more

I have taken children for therapy to several clinics and worked with several others as a therapist myself and have been very pleased with the services provided at NSPT. The therapists are caring and enthusiastic and truly work hard to be strength based and make each parent feel good about their child's progress. While we have experienced some turnover in therapists, each one has worked hard for my child. Whenever possible, new therapists have taken the time to observe the old therapist before taking over the case to ease transition. The therapists go above and beyond to reschedule missed sessions whenever possible. Also, the waiting room of this clinic is welcoming to siblings making it possible to schedule therapy sessions at a time when child care is unavailable. read more

Everyone we encountered at NSPT was professional, skilled and caring. They assessed my son accurately and set up a protocol to help him with sensory integration, ADHD and behavioral issues. We worked with both an OT and a Behavior Therapist who went above and beyond to make sure he was getting what he needed. They both did school assessments and took the time to meet with his teachers to help them work more effectively with our son. He absolutely loves everyone at NSPT. I can finally breathe. My girls finally have a direction at school and now THEY can finally breathe. NSPT has been nothing but wonderful and loving. Their staff, especially Dr Staci was so patient with the girls and even me!! He went out of his way to meet with the school, make amazing suggestions and continue to be a huge advocate for us. This office is a real find. I am amazed that the team has managed to get almost every bit of therapy and testing we've need completely covered by insurance with no involvement from me. In the past we went with local hospitals and this was not the case. In fact, I spent thousands on my first child's evaluations. Since finding North Share Pediatric Therapy I have only paid co-pays for my second child. The insurance situation is indicative of how organized the office is. For the first time I feel that I am not alone in coordinating my child's medical care. The team follow-up with the school directly to arrange teacher-parent-therapist conferences and have worked collaboratively helping us advocate as needed. I was very happy with the doctor we'd found for my first child at a local hospital many years ago, but the bills! The doctor we work with at North Shore Pediatric Therapy was trained by the same supervising physician and is equally competent. I highly recommend NSPT especially because they understand that administrative management of the therapy process is so critical to success.
