Available upon arrival is free valet parking for an easier entrance for those with disabilities. Reservations for carts can be made both online or via phone for one to avoid walking, if necessary, to their destination. Of course, the security and safety of both patients and patrons is wonderful. As for our visit, my father is here for a hearing examination in addition to seeking better quality devices for easier hearing due to sensitivity with his skin. Hearing aides tend to irritate eczema that causes an inflammation; therefore, they suggested a visit to relieve him of discomfort and try something other than daily wear of what he has, presently. The VA is certainly taking care of their service men and women - a friendly reminder that we should do the same. Thanking all those who are helping my soon to be 94-year-old father. He served in the Korean War. I am blessed; therefore, I am thankful in more ways than one.

There's one bad apple The nurse who drew my blood, I asked the Dr to not give me a iv yet incase I didn't need to stay or have any surgeries. Because I am a very hard stick. So the nurse took offense, because I showed the bruises from last time I guess it was her from last time because she was upset. And then I heard her repeatedly saying things about me to the point where I heard her and she was very mean, stern and rude Not a way when I was having a panic attack. That a cardiac, pulmonary, bone and mental health is involved. Oh I included a picture for her for a keepsake. She was placed in the ICU and the nursing staff was very attentive to her needs. My concern is with the doctors and the hospitalist. What a terrible system to have these "experts" put in their mandatory 10 min. and leave the patient with no information about their condition. One doctor came in and when we asked about the X-ray results, he told us he wanted to meet with my mother first. After about 5 min. he left and never returned with any results. The social worker was great and I can't praise Martha Lindstrom, a nurse practitioner, enough. She gave us more information about my mother's condition than any of the doctors combined. I have had experience with other doctors at other hospitals and unfortunately have found the same lack of interest or care to patients. The medical system is failing terribly with the mentality of ordering tests that aren't read in a timely fashion nor relayed to patients to keep them informed about their health. God help us all as the business of patient care is overridden by incompetent doctors. You all need to do better because your patients deserve better!

Granted, I have difficult veins but they're ER nurses!! IVs are something they should be doing every day, ALL day... you would think they'd be pros. The doctor came in (I swear he was drunk) after about an hour and ordered a blood draw, breathing treatment, chest X-ray, and an MRI of my head, because I hit hard when I fell. Tests were done quickly but nurse could barely get blood - then I waited HOURS for results. Except for the breathing treatment and tests, I received no care, at all but was there for 7 hours!!!! I finally told the nurse to get my discharge papers because I was leaving. I can't believe I actually stayed that long! (Possibly drunk?) doctor comes in, says I have bronchitis and maybe pneumonia, and he's going to order antibiotics and cough medicine. That's it. They weren't busy, either. The nurses were standing around talking and only one other person was brought in while I was there. I would never go there again and, if I hadn't been taken in an ambulance, I wouldn't have gone there this time. It's sad because it was a great hospital when it was Victory and is still a nice facility.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any healthcare location while trying to…read morebring my child in for care. My child has active Illinois Medicaid, and I completed all required intake forms online ahead of time, including entering insurance information. I drove about 45 minutes to this office specifically because it showed that my child's insurance was accepted, we were out of town, and I called beforehand to confirm they accepted the insurance. When I arrived, I was told by Devon at the front desk that the insurance could not be verified because I did not have a physical insurance card. I tried to explain that Medicaid members do not have physical cards and that all insurance details had already been submitted online prior to the visit. She advised me to fill out the paperwork before hand and when I arrived, I was told it did not matter and they did not care because the system does not transfer over. That should not affect me as a patient being that it's a clinical error, not patient error. Being that my son has had this insurance for 5 years, I have never been turned away or told they would not see my child due to not having a physical card. The online Medicaid system allows providers to look up people with name and date of birth. The front desk refused to do so. In fact, she laughed in my face and spun around in her chair. I asked what my options were so my child could still be seen, I was not given any answers. Due to the severity of my child, I had to ask if I could pay self-pay of $175 out of pocket in order to proceed, despite having active Medicaid coverage. This is not appropriate under Medicaid participation rules and regulations. I was also forced to ask what my options were multiple times because she dismissed me and my sick child and began talking to the next person in line. The interaction at the front desk felt dismissive, disrespectful and unhelpful, especially while I was there with a sick young child on a holiday weekend. There was no effort made to work through the insurance issue or offer alternatives. I have also filed an official complaint with both the company and Medicaid because if this experience happens to me, I cannot imagine how many more it has happen to. I advise if someone working at the front desk does not have basic efforts to help a sick patient, do not keep them. I hope this office improves how it handles Medicaid verification and patient communication, especially for families who are trying to access covered care. To make it worse, this woman was training other women and refused to help the line of 5 people. I understand how training works, but to be as dismissive to all those in line just because you did not feel like doing your job, very sad for this location. On the other hand, the provider was absolutely phenomenal, and it is a shame that others may not get to see her and her great quality of care because the lack of professionalism at the front desk. As someone who works in healthcare, I would be extremely embarrassed if this front desk was the face of the practice.
