I have been going here for years. Dr Clark is awesome. I don't think there are any other doctors other than him. The other ones are all PAs.

I feel that DR Nader Sallam at this office is one of the best doctors I ever dealt with. With all the appointments I've been to personally and accompanying my mom to, he is the most attentive of all of them. DR Sallam will actually talk and communicate with you for as long as needed. He has always taken the time to listen as well as had heart to hearts with me when I was going through some of the worst times of my life. I'd rate this 0 stars if I could based on the poor medical treatment I've received, but I'm not going to disclose my health history here. So here is the none health review. This office charged me a $50.00 fee for "missing" my appointment, when I was late. Doing so is in violation of the American Medical Association policy if the patient is not advised of the potential fee at the time of booking. I was not informed at the time the appointment was made that a "missed" or "late" appointment would result in a fee. Upon my arrival, I was informed of such a fee and told that I could wait for a "walk-in appointment". This tells me that this mysterious administrative fee is just that, an administrative fee to penalize clients for late or non-arrivals (aka Nickel and Dime the patient). Plus I'd still be charged that fee even if I decided to take the "walk-in" offer. This is a complete double standard because the physicians are regularly 15-30 minutes late whenever I have made appointments to see them, so I regularly would just use the "walk-in appointment" option. I didn't this time because I had to call ahead because I didn't know what their COVID-19 restrictions were... This office also refuses to use email, but (check out the google reviews) they address every negative complaint (in sometimes a rather snarky and condescending tone, or they attack someone's spelling or grammar because I can only assume they can't refute the claims) made on social media or online. So, they have the capability to use technology outside of the 80's, but they just refuse to do so for appointment reminders (and associated disclosures), or informing their patient base on changes coming to their practice, or changes to their operations due to COVID-19, etc... Makes me wonder why they are financially struggling so much that they are forced to nickel and dime their patients in the Lake Villa and Lindenhurst areas. I don't recommend. I won't be going back for any of my HealthCare needs, that is 100% for sure. Now I just have to decide if I am going to find a new provider and leave my medical records unless I pay their hostage fee/payment, or if I will take advantage of the legal statute (735 ILCS 5/8-2001) that will allow me to physically see and copy the records myself. If I choose to exercise my right, I'm curious to see if they will refuse, granting me "expenses and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred in connection with any court ordered enforcement of the provisions" of this statute. I would not recommend this place at all. I had blood tests done elsewhere and they came back with a few issues. I was directed to call my primary care dr. I called there and the responses I got were as follows. What did you want us to do we didnt order the tests. I again explained the situation and she replied, what is it that you want me to do. I have been going to the practice for about three years now - for me the biggest issue I have about going to a doctors office is to actually believe what they tell me and that they take the time to explain the issues ( from past doctors visits I believe they guess half the time) I'm in my upper 40's and it has taken me many years to find a practice that provides what I'm looking for. Upon my first visit Sam was assigned to my room , from that day forward she is the only one that I request to see. She is Honest , takes the time to properly explain the issues and doesn't rush you out like many doctors in the past. She has great people skills and is a VERY valuable asset to this practice!! I have finally found a caring office that actually takes the time to listen and care for their patients! This isn't some 10 minute in and out kind of office. They don't just half listen and throw a script at you. They take the time to explain everything from your diagnosis to medication options, and involve you in the process. I also really appreciate how the doctors and PA's take time to get to know their patients and what our needs really are. I switched to this office after a recommendation and I couldn't be happier. no matter what you are going through they are there to help you. The fact that they have a pharmacy in the office now is just an added bonus! I highly recommend lindenhurst family practice for all your family's medical needs. read more

I started coming here because they had a walk in option for sick appointments where you can always get in same day. We used to end up at Acute Care with horrible service and high bills. This is a doctor visit so much less $$ AND way faster! Whether it's walk in sick appt or annual check up their docs and other practitioners are thorough, ask a ton of questions and really consider everything you are saying instead of rushing you out the door. I have been for wellness care or injury, when my X-rays were clear (done on site with immediate result!) I got the name of an amazing specialist who took over and treated me perfectly. The office staff is friendly, prompt and thorough-no billing issues, never a problem with paperwork or insurance and they always care about our family getting what it needs. Fantastic! read more

We have been going to this practice for a very long time. I do believe it is time to move on though. We are always very happy with the doctors and treatment. BUT, the office staff tends to be a bit rude and getting an appointment in a reasonable amount of time is unheard of. I was discharged from the hospital with a recommendation to be seen in 3-4 days by my dr. Calling the office and telling them this got me, we can see you in April, a full two months after being discharged. I was told I could walk in. I do not really want to go to the sick call and wait for hours 3-4 days after being int he hospital. I also called today to get a physical and refills on my blood pressure meds. I was told not until May. I cannot wait till May to get my meds refilled. If they are going to become a walk in facility only, they need to let people know because that seems to be the answer to every time I call for an appointment. I do not want to walk in and wait hours. I want an APPOINTMENT. read more

Fantastic office. Sam is PA that literally changed my life and helped me though the worst possible thing a mother can go through.

Wife explained to me this was the worst doctor's appointment ever. AFter 3 hours of waiting in their "Walk in Clinic", She was seen by a student, who then had to consult another very young dr(?).Both seemed very indecisive about treatment, but they did decide to draw blood. The second doctor(?) stuck me twice unsuccessfully and quite painfully, before bringing a 3rd woman into the room to try. I left with 3 holes in my arms a, very indecisive decsion as to why she was feeling sick, and no real treatment. Low quality all around. read more

I have been a patient at this practice for approximately 18 years (my best guess). I used to love this practice. They were cordial, prompt, and got the job done. But over the years, I feel that they've taken on too many patients. The wait time to get in to see Dr. Clark is outrageous. It took me about 6 weeks to get an appointment with him, and then 2 weeks prior to the appointment, I was called and told that he wouldn't be here and I needed to reschedule. It took another 4 weeks for them to get me back in. Now I'm here for the follow-up and have waited an hour so far. Every patient that has walked in after me, has been called in and still, I sit here. Unfortunately, I feel like I just don't matter as a patient. I really miss Dr. Omar. She never kept me waiting like this and was always extremely thorough. She passed away about a year ago, unexpectedly, and I feel like the practice has not found its footing since then. read more

This office cares ONLY about money, not about people. You know, it's a shame. I really wanted to like this office. I've been bringing my family to Dr. Clark for just over a year. My parents have been longtime patients. I started going to Dr. Clark because of my parent's history with him (many family inherited kidney and heart diseases) but have honestly been sickened with how the staff treats its patients. I live in McHenry, about 40 minutes from his office. I have called in advance to report a medical problem and ask his advice. His staff would tell me that Dr. Clark has requested for me to come to the walk in. Upon arrival, I would be told Dr. Clark has already left. This has happened to me 3 times. Last night, however, was what sickened me most. After I drove 40 minutes to his office at 6 last night, upon HIS staffs request! His staff told me to, "come in TONIGHT, not tomorrow, he wants to make time for this particular condition." I was turned away. Why, do you ask? In my hurry to leave when my husband got home, I forgot my debit card and had a $100 balance with the office. They refused to see me unless it was paid and turned me away. I tried to explain I didn't have my card and could pay it over the phone via my husband right now, or drive back tomorrow to bring the card, but my condition was urgent and Clark requested for me to come into walk in. They could not have cared less. And sent me to my 40 minute drive home. My husband has worked up a $380 balance without anyone saying anything before, and when they brought it up, it was paid that day. So why was I turned away with a possibly limb threatening illness for $100? Because this office doesn't care about you! They just want your money!!! Thanks for wasting so many hours of my life. It's time for me to find a new doctor who actually cares about his patients. For a problem that my family doctor should have been able to diagnose and aid with, I now have to spend hours in a hospital because this cannot be left untreated. I've been going here since I was a child. I love my doctor, and there are a few familiar faces that I've come to enjoy. Unfortunately there has been an attitude problem that tends to stick to a few of the receptionists that usually come and go. These women typically come off vey rude and confrontational, like I have to prove to them that I belong and appropriateness has been breached when it comes to payment as well. I had a recent situation where my card was charged before my payday, so it declined. One of the receptionists took it upon herself to lean into me, tell me that if I didn't have that amount right away they would have to take a new card number and then insinuate that if it didn't work I would have to speak to someone in billing. Well obviously, this isn't rocket science. I of course went along with it, and have to run in and make a payment this week. But I do not need to be spoken to in such a manner, I would rather be sent home than degraded, thanks. read more

Have been going here for 10+ years, and they have gotten progressively worse, especially as of lately (past year or so). They are now absolutely atrocious. Their standard way of answering their phones EVERY SINGLE TIME is "Dr. Clark's office, can you hold?" I have not only noticed it because it happens every time I call, but when I am sitting in the waiting room, that's how they answer every time. Then they put you on hold forever. The front receptionists are rude. Even if you have an appointment, you end up waiting 30+ minutes to be seen- if you complain to receptionist about the wait, they are incredibly rude and make you feel like you've done something wrong. What was the last straw for me, is that I recently came down with a severe sore throat and went to them because I typically get strep once or twice a year and wanted to nip it in the bud before it got worse (went in on a Monday). It turns out that it wasn't strep (did the quick strep test with 15 minute results), and that I had a virus. I was instructed to take over the counter meds and let my body fight it off, but was told that if my symptoms for worse, to call back and that they would fill an antibiotic Rx for me. Next day I was worse but decided to wait it out, but two days later, I was completely stuffed up, horrible headache from the pressure, and no voice from my terrible cough. I called their office and asked them to fill the Rx for me, and they told me that they couldn't until they got my lab tests back, two days later. I told them that I couldn't miss anymore work (I had already missed two days), and what use would a Rx be 5 days after my initial visit, and I was getting worse every day. They refused. Asked what the best over-the-counter stuff is that I could take in the meantime, and the receptionist on the phone had no idea and told me that the doctor would call me back within the next DAY OR TWO. Finally, 5 days later, the doctor called me and told me that they were filling a Rx for me. By this time, I was a complete mess and it had moved into my lungs. To make matters worse, even though I followed doctor's orders (no sharing drinks, washed my hands a lot, stay away from other people as much as possible), I had passed it to my boyfriend (with whom I live). He went to their office today for walk-in hours desperate to get some relief. I told him to tell them everything about what I had and that I was treated with a Z Pack, thinking that they would just fill him an Rx, given what I just went through. Nope! They told him that he needed to be sick for FIVE DAYS before they would do anything for him. Sent him home with nothing but advice for him to get some Robitussin. They are still in the Stone Age when it comes to records, communication, and such. I am switching to a doctor that has online appointment scheduling (you can schedule your own appointments with their up-to-date calendar on their website), and have the option to do online messaging with doctors for questions and Rx refills (30 minute response time). Lindenhurst Family Practice is the absolute worst, and my boyfriend and I are immediately switching doctors, along with my family members who go there. We have all been getting fed up with them for quite some time now, but this was the straw that broke the camels back. read more
