I have a lot of really good things to say about Dr Weiss. The reasons that I have given her a less…read morethan stellar rating are mainly the practice where she works and the people on her staff. 1. My wife and I both find the front office staff rude and abrupt to the point of being alienating. They have been this way more or less for the 2 years we have been going to this office. We feel hesitant to even go into the office given this belligerent attitude. 2. It is very difficult to get an appointment unless it's an emergency and then they can get you in the same day but not necessarily with Dr Weiss. You can wait up to three months to get an appointment for a physical. The office continually recommends you see a nurse instead of Dr Weiss due to her schedule. What is the point of having a primary care physician if they continue to try and schedule you with some other person? 3. On a recent appointment I was suppose to see Dr Weiss - according to the front desk - but the doctor had left by the time I arrived on time for the appointment. Instead I saw a nurse practitioner and she basically said she couldn't find anything wrong with me but if my symptoms persisted I should get a chest x-ray and to call the office to schedule. After continuing to feel bad I called the office to arrange for an x-ray but they gave me the run around and never bothered to call me back that day. I eventually went to see another doctor and he properly diagnosed me very quickly. Also, the staff and nurses at this new office were very professional and friendly. Dr Weiss is a very good doctor but surrounded by less than professional staff. I also think she needs to do something about her schedule - what is the point of having a primary care physician if you cant see her? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am adding to this review after another unpleasant experience with Dr Weiss' office. I asked the office staff to send me my medical records on a jumpdrive so I could give them to my new physician. They did so - but they sent it to the WRONG address, an address I haven't lived at for over 5 months. What is it with these people? Now my medical information is god knows where. Again, if you haven't heard enough to avoid this office totally I would just be careful going forward.

I would definitely recommend to avoid this Doctors office at all costs. I was with them for 3 years…read morefollowing a heart attack, Dr. Kagzi will not listen to any of your concerns, he also will not fill prescriptions and if there is a balance of any sort which is completely illegal. They withheld my daily medications over a long weekend over a 40 dollar balance, and then I was scolded by the doc to not be nasty to his "Wife" the "Accountant" after I reemed them for what they had done... They also charged me multiple times for appointments that I did not agree to or set. For instance - They once had me set up for a Tele-visit, called me the same day telling me the doctor wanted me in the office, which obviously I couldn't make last minute. Then I was scolded by the doctor telling me if I needed to reschedule again I would need to find another doctor. They charged me $200 for missing a sleep study appointment which I did not agree to. A charge that I WILL NOT PAY! This will also be reported to the medical business Bureau! It is a money game with them. I highly recommend finding a doctor elsewhere! I should have known when I started seeing Botox kits being pushed... Again, i'm not one for writing reviews, but I wish I knew all of this prior. His "Students" that call you don't even speak ENGLISH clearly. Side note: I had called about the charge, was told I would get a call back. All I received was radio silence... Last thing - The only person who is cool there with Julie! I wish there was negative stars to give. But there there is not so I can only give one.

I like to take this moment and mention that the new Northwestern Medical Acute Care Med Center in…read moreGurnee is the most impressive health care facility in our regional area. Their outstanding care is attributed to a number of key factors. The essence of their successful delivery of services is they utilize a process care model. From end to end the focus is on providing consistent quality care, providing simple explanations for each individual task to the patient. We had a family member who had a severe cut due to a kitchen knife. It was very clear that this was a serious cut needing medical attention. We were concerned and started calling provider acute centers until we contacted NMFMC in Gurnee next to the Holiday Inn. Our regular provider (NSHS) was too busy and there were issues with the other acute care centers. We walked in and instead of waiting we got immediate attention. I also noticed that other people coming in also did not have to wait long if they also had serious issues. Even the chairs were more comfortable than other medical facilities. Because of the severity of the cut a number of medical care tasks were performed. It took a while. While waiting I walked up to one of the medical admens and asked how everything was going. The medical admen pulled a screen identifying and mentioning to me the particular patient care task our family member was expereincing and then telling me the next medical procedure that was performed and telling me how long I would have to wait. Having a healthcare IT background I was immediately impressed. This was the first time I had encountered process oriented patient care. To top it off the Dr A and the J shared some comic relief with our family member during the beginning of the patient - doc - nurse encounter. Laughter and happyness is a great pain deterrent, calming intial concerns. , My suggestion to anyone is even if Northwestern Medical is out of your network, when you have an immediate care need, drive the extra distance, spend a little more, and experience a great healthcare outcome! Northwestern Medical just might be a uncommon healthcare provider which has successfully converged the practices of healthcare, process, patient care, and empathy, generating great family - medical outcomes.
