After years of misdiagnosis and being forced to prove my symptoms repeatedly, I was finally diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder when I was 18. Soon after i began medication that for me was life changing, helping me to realize how detrimental it was to navigate my symptoms without medication or therapy. Unfortunately as I turned 18, I aged out of State provided healthcare and lost all my coverage. I worked very hard and now at 21 finally have coverage through my employer. I was assigned Dr Clark's office by my providers due to proximity. I was so excited to finally begin treatment and feel "normal" again. Most unfortunately I was assigned Andy as my doctor at my new patient visit today. Despite my past success with medication, despite my diagnosis, and despite my staggering family history with this disorder, Andy decided that he did not believe my "attention" problem was attributed to me having this disorder. He said that my recent engagement and new job along with other big events in my life, could be factor enough to be "distracted". And threw me a referral to a psychiatrist. Had he referred me saying anything else i would not be as angry as I am currently. It truly shows the level of ignorant and unprofessional care you can expect from him. I am not the only one with this experience, and he has quite the reputation amongst my family friends for being a doctor who will sit through an entire visit and not listen to a single word you said. My first provider was Dr. Omar, who cared for me until her passing. I then continued my care with Kelly Vinson, they have always been wonderful--attentive, understanding, and professional. I've never felt like just a name on a chart with either of them. They truly listened and made sure that any treatment or medication was thoughtful and necessary. This level of care is the reason I've remained loyal to your practice for so long. Unfortunately, today's experience left me feeling deeply disappointed. I called to ask about a walk-in was told there were no walk-ins only appointments were available, but when I expressed that my reason for the visit was private, the tone of the conversation shifted. I was put on hold and then informed that there were no more appointments left. It felt dismissive and, frankly, like I was being penalized for not sharing personal medical details with the front desk. I've never had to explain my symptoms to a receptionist before booking an appointment, and I don't think patients should be required to do so--especially when the matter is private. I understand policies evolve, but this kind of interaction does not reflect the care and respect I've come to associate with your office. I'm concerned that the quality of service is changing, especially with Kelly going on leave, and it's disheartening. Dr Clark has been my general practitioner for over 25 years. He's very knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner. he's friendly and makes you feel very comfortable when you visit. I have seen PA Sam for a couple years now. She is AMAZING!!!! If I need to get in but our schedules don't match, I will take a day off work to get an appointment with her. I have seen her for yearly check-ups, lady check ups, and urgent care issues. She is super patient, kind, non-judging (I have major issues not sleeping), and really listens to my concerns. I'm adding a more recent review since I see that Ashley C from their office is commenting on old reviews now. She mentions that she sees that I still go to this office after giving it a 1 star review 3 years prior. ...while she herself comments on a 3 year old review. First, there's a doctor shortage in the US, which is why doctors get away with long wait times. It doesn't mean it shouldn't continue trying to improve these times and feedback helps them know that there is a problem. But after that snarky response, it appears that they have a new problem. I'm actually giving this review 4 stars. Since my last review, they've hired a new doctor. Dr Christine Kharasch is absolutely wonderful. She is extremely thorough and gets to the root cause of the issue and is extremely bright and knowledgeable. We love her! The wait times have improved since my last review. They're now under an hour (usually under 30 minutes), so bonus for growth! I'm only removing one star for the snide responses that are being left on reviews. I really like Dr. Clark but boy oh boy, they are careless here as far as getting patients in and out. They say walk-ins are welcomed but be prepared to wait a few hours to see a PA. Doctor does not see walk-ins. If you do wish to schedule an appointment to see the doctor, it usually takes about two months to get one which is just ridiculous. Dr. Clark is very nice and helpful but his staff is awful. Some are rude and unresponsive and some just don't care. If you really like Dr. Clark, I suppose waiting is not a biggy but for everyone else, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. 5 stars for Dr. Clark, NO stars for the staff. read more

This used to be the BEST doctor's office. I remember meeting Dr. Clark and felt so connected to their mission here. But over the last few years, things have fell much far of short. I went in for an annual check up as I have done many times before. This time, I received a bill for over $300 because the doctor I was seeing ran "some tests"-- words from the accountant. I did not requests that the tests be done, nor was I made aware of the prices for such tests. Also, I too was a BIG fan of Dr. McGowan-- just an all around person. I booked an appointment with him months in advance because booking an appointment at this location literally takes forever. The week of I receive a voicemail saying that he is no longer working there and that the appointment would be canceled. I mean for goodness sake at least be more informative especially with long standing patients. It's actually really sad how much this place has changed, but hey I guess that's what happens sometimes. Dr. Clark is still great to me, but I can't speak so much of the office staff. I have now taken my time and money to Northwestern. A decision I should've made a long time ago... read more

The staff clearly is doing something wrong when wait hours are soooo long. Like another patient who complained about a $300 STD test...me, a 65 year old woman married 50 years had one done without being asked AND without permission. We have a great doctor, but if your sick it takes at least three weeks just to get an appointment. They have a acute care center. Only thing is that instead of a doctor you get a physicians assistant but you pay the same as seeing a doctor. . I am really disappointed. I really like our doctor. I voiced my concerns to the receptionist staff, they seemed like they could care less. At least we have a backup doctor. read more

I have been a patient of this office for many years. Plus: They have walk in hours every day from open to close, which is nice when you are sick and want to see someone that day. Minus, the wait time is very long for walk ins-usually at least an hour. You also see a physician assistant as opposed to a physician when you attend walk in hours. Minus: Many of the staff there-receptionists and physician assistants don't have the best customer service or people skills. I know that they are busy, but many make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them, as opposed to the purpose of their job. read more

I have been coming here for over 5 years. It use to be a great doctors office. We are a family of 6. Sick call is what we usually do because trying to make an appt here could take a month to get in. Every time I come in to the acute we wait 3 plus hrs. The staff is rude and in my eyes if the doctors are ok w making there patients wait that long they really don't care and we are just a number to them. Dr. Clark is simply the finest primary care doctor in the area. I've been going to him for over 15 years. Unlike many doctors these days, he spends ample time with you at every visit, asks detailed questions, provides very thorough responses and solutions to health issues, and has a great "bedside manner." He reminds me of the kind of doctor we had before the health insurance industry tried to overmanage care--and doctors felt the pressure to cut their visits short. He is a gem. I like Dr Omar and Dr Mc Gowan but it takes close to a month out to be able to see them. I dont like the walk in, ive waited 3 hours to be seen, in my opinion thats ridiculous and I dont trust them 100%. I called 5 times in a row and the first 2 times i got the recording the 3rd and 4th time i got hung up on and finally the 5th time someone answered, not a way to run a business! Some of the girls at the front desk are rude and act like Im a bother, if they dont like dealing with people they need to find a different job. It's a shame to read some of these poor reviews. Most criticizing the office and not dr Clark. I've been seeing dr Clark for almost 10 years and I never want to see another doctor again. I can't imagine there is another dr that shows as much care. I don't know how he does it but he spends tons of time diagnosing the problem and goes above and beyond. In seeing him for a double concussion he mentioned some recent research/studies. Obviously keeping up with the latest. I couldn't be happier with the care provided by dr Clark. I recognize the wait time isn't great but what can you say. He's popular. That could only be positive. He even calls late into the evening to address medical questions. I wait FOREVER to see someone even when I have an appointment and I show up early. Every time. If all my records weren't here I would never come back. I wait hours every time. The staff is usually nice but I feel like they just try to cram as many people in as possible. Only come here if you have plenty of time to wait. read more

I have been seeing Dr Clark for years. The doctors are great (except for one which I refuse to see). The front office staff need A LOT of work. They don't care about getting you in and out.
