We are not only very disappointed at the quality of service we received from Baker Plumbing, but alarmed and disgusted at the blatant violation of our home, the homophobia we experienced, and their continued unprofessional response. Poor Quality of Work - The work took a week longer than quoted - Their digging broke our lanterns and killed all our mature plants along the path - They discarded garbage and broken tools around our yard (and did not clean it up) - They widened the path to our front door without telling us this would be done - Their job required us to hire a landscaper and hardscaper ($1000) to clean up the mess they had made (above and beyond the path reworking anticipated) Privacy Invasion and Homophobia - Phil, the owner of Baker Plumbing, showed up unannounced on our doorstep a month after completion of work to hand-deliver the bill (they had not emailed or mailed a bill) - On our doorbell camera, we heard Phil say "motherfucking c*cksuck3rs, I know you are home" - The video also showed that Phil had looked in our front window (blinds were closed), and we have video and audio of him saying "I can see you f*ck1ng freaks in there, mother#ck3rs" - We told them not to contact us again or come to our home: they continued to contact us via text and email Phil's Retaliation -We paid the bill within 24 hours of having received it. We left a 1-star review due to their poor work, the extra costs we had to pay to clean up after them, and because Phil had called us slurs and violated our privacy. -We emailed Phil to confront him about his homophobic language. Baker Plumbing called us "slanderous" -Baker Plumbing then posted 4 x 1-star reviews on our B&B's google listing. They have never been guests. The message we are getting from him is loud and clear: I hate gay people so much I am not only going to use slurs against them, but try to sabotage their business as well.

During the initial assessment, Mike spent a good amount of time discussing options with us, and their pricing seemed fair and good value for the service. While the installation appeared to meet code requirements, immediately after the work completion we noticed that the "relief valve discharge pipe" was positioned directly above a drywall surface--creating an obvious risk should any discharge occur (picture attached). Despite my repeated and reasonable requests for clarification on liability and suggestions to reposition or extend the pipe to mitigate potential damage, I received dismissive replies. The company refused to adjust the work without charging additional fees. Even after I raised concerns about the risk of future property damage, they stated the matter was "closed" and asked me not to contact them again. I had hoped for a cooperative and safety-conscious resolution. Unfortunately, Impact Plumbing did not take ownership of the concern or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution other clients to be very clear up front and not assume post-installation support will be available. Following a period of time to allow the insulation to dry out, Lois returned as she and her partner were sure they figured out the cause of the flood. It was simply a re-run of the first visit and pure speculation that the overflow in one of the bathtubs could be the culprit. ( We noted that the bathtub was not used the day/night prior to the flood. ) In the end, it cost me almost $500.00 to have her troubleshoot and leave a ceiling requiring drywall repair. That, I'm sure will probably cost as much as it did to create the damage. I am a senior and I hate to admit that I still trust people to be honest and upfront, especially if they don't know what they are doing.
