    UNHELPFUL AGEIST DISREGARD for customer only 3 months after a $16K installation:…read more I am a senior lady living on my own who bought my house because it already had a new heat pump and HVAC system installed in May 2024. The Fujitsu thermostat that West Bay installed - but does not understand how to operate - was not working. I called and had to beg Duncan for 30 mintes to send a serviceman out to fix it. This turned into a multi-week ordeal during which 3 different guys spent a total of 6 hours at my house on 3 separate appoinments. None of them could figure out why the thermostat did not work properly. The third guy was on the phone to Fujitsu for an hour while he was standig in my hallway! These were friendly young men who admitted they had never been trained by the company on this product. Frustrated but not allowed to replace the faulty unit, they gave up and left me with a unit I still cannot set on a schedule, meaning I have to constantly adjust the temperature and am not getting the savings on power that a heat pump should provide. When I wrote a long letter to the owner, Dave Young, begging him to authorize this repair, I was ignored. He never responded nor even acknowledged receiving it. I have heard that West Bay used to be a reputable company until bought by this owner who just doesn't care about the customers, only his profit m More than disappointing.     DISAPPOINTED BY THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND CUSTOMER CARE!…read more I hired Impact Plumbing & Heating Ltd. to install a new hot water tank. During the initial assessment, Mike spent a good amount of time discussing options with us, and their pricing seemed fair and good value for the service. While the installation appeared to meet code requirements, immediately after the work completion we noticed that the "relief valve discharge pipe" was positioned directly above a drywall surface--creating an obvious risk should any discharge occur (picture attached). Despite my repeated and reasonable requests for clarification on liability and suggestions to reposition or extend the pipe to mitigate potential damage, I received dismissive replies. The company refused to adjust the work without charging additional fees. Even after I raised concerns about the risk of future property damage, they stated the matter was "closed" and asked me not to contact them again. I had hoped for a cooperative and safety-conscious resolution. Unfortunately, Impact Plumbing did not take ownership of the concern or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution other clients to be very clear up front and not assume post-installation support will be available.     Our hot water tank failed on Saturday. I called the company that had installed it and they had been…read morebought out by a large company. They got back to me and said they would have a plumber out to assess it on Monday. He showed up on Monday and confirmed that the tank needed replacement and he would report back to Head Office in Vancouver. Couldn't confirm when they could get back to do the job! On Tuesday I called them and they said they couldn't get approval for replacement until the following Monday!!!! That would be 10 days without hot water!! I paid for their service call and contacted Mike from Impact Plumbing and Heating. He got me to take a picture of the tank and the label and send it to him! He called back and said his guy (Max) would pick the tank up around noon and head over! He arrived at 1:15 pm and by 2:30 was finished!! One call was all it took!! I would definitely recommend Impact Plumbing for any plumbing, heating or gas job!!!
